Kinda boring chapter. The pace is going a bit slow by FT standards imo. At least things look like they'll start moving in the next couple of chapters. Some of the drawings seemed kinda off, like Natsu's chest looked saggy in one panel and Kyouka's ass looked kinda angular in another. Slightly sighed at yet another eye-patch character. I hope Hiro will try to do something different with it instead of the usual powerup. I like Minerva and Tempesta's new look though.

Finally caught up with Chapter 257—skipping chapters adapted to episodes that I have watched was really convenient.

The Nirvana Arc is definitely a shoutout to the Oracion Seis from Groove Adventure RAVE, although I'd argue that this Oracion Seis is much weaker compared to the RAVE Oracion Seis. Recalling on the entire arc, I think that the plans of Oracion Seis to reverse Cait Shelter is stupid, since they have well-planned themselves to disappear as soon as Wendy has moved out of her one-girl guild.

Edolas Arc was interesting because it showed the usual gang in different roles that are considered OOC for them. OH GOD EDOLAS SUGAR BOY IS ANNOYING, HMMM. The arc gave some focus on Lisanna, as well as Happy and Charles, who were mascot characters until this arc came. Another RAVE reference shows up here, with Erza Knightwalker's Ten Commandments.

Another interesting Arc was the Tenroujima Arc for a number of reasons. First, it allowed in-fighting and gauging of the powers of Fairy Tail members against each other. Second, it introduced the Disintegration Magic of Gildartz, the womanizing third S-class wizard of the guild. Third was having former guildmaster Purehito (as Hades) as a main antagonist making all of the guildmasters of Fairy Tail known (Mavis -> Purehito -> Makarov). Fourth is DAT CANA.

The idea of Lost Magic is a bit weak for me, because not everyone (except for Dragon Slayer Magic) showed the risks of having such a kind of magic in their arsenal (Azuma's body was claimed by the earth for using Tree Arc and Zoldeo lost his physical body due to Human Substitution). Mest is also a weak character for me, seemingly present to symbolize the Magic Council's recurring antagonism towards Fairy Tail. At least he knew not to mess with Fairy Tail wizards.

With that, I'm standing before the filler Key of the Starry Sky Arc. I have been exposed to fillers before, with that unusual Daphne Arc and its eccentric antagonist. Is the Key of the Starry Sky Arc good enough to watch?

Yes, key of the starry sky is probably one of the best filler arcs made. Mashima also incorporated it in the manga canon, so it can't really be called filler anymore.

Meh... we all know for sure no one in FT will die in this, but how they won't... I admit it's quite a cliffhanger.

So that bunny-eared girl. Where the hell did she come from?

I got confused there.

And it happens to be so convenient that Tartarus is floating above Magnolia. Oh wait, they went there on purpose. Well, good luck for them; once FT gets back on their feet, Tartarus will be signed up for quite a beating.

It was a good chapter though I doubt anyone actually died in that explosion. They better not turn Mira into a ugly demon or there will be hell to pay.

Mira is going to be just fine and probably going to get a nice new demon form out of this. It was clear the Tartarus scientist had no idea who she was and what kind of magic she used. I see this as blowing up in there faces and Sayla getting turned into meat suit before this is all over.

here a little prediction/theory for the next chapter:
the guild blow up was a charlie vision and finally for the first time this annoying cat will gonna warn the peoples about her vision then the ft members will run to where elfman is and their gonna start to hold him, then during the fight wendy will be able to user her breath to throw away the lacrima bomb, saving the guild and make the bomb fly away high then in a bonus prediction the bomb will ending hitting the tartarus flying base forcing them to land then FT members gonna head to tartarus base and the war of tartarus x ft start.
