I think, first it's the allotment of slots for TV episodes. Remember, the 'true route' for the first season was also not aired on TV. Second, perhaps also due to the ending.

The first episode of season 1 and season 2 started with such dream where kirino acting unusual that lead kyousuke to say "my little sister cannot be this..." then the scene change to kyousuke falling from his bed to realize that all of it was dream. Considering this thing, I hope the prolog of this three episodes will also be a dream where Kirino acting dere-dere towards kyousuke which is rarely happen. That will be a fun and cute moment to watch...

18th of August is in 8 days.

Edit: Ah, time. Well, the response is below. I'd suggest the watch a day after the release, though. No particular reason other than to have it all set.

It's actually Sunday, 18 August at Midnight (12:00am) EDT. Saturday, 17 August at 9:00pm PDT.

It'll be streaming on Crunchyroll for Premium Members at that time.

All 3 episodes will be available at once. Its just like a new episode gets uploaded but now you got 3 at one time. 14-15-16 separately.
