Well that episode just sent The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan up in my personal rankings. I'm seriously giving the writer a big thumbs up!

First we get Ryoko's little daydream, which is really cute and work really well because it's so believable.

Then we get the less wild real version where Yuki holds his robe instead of his hand (She's so why!)

Then we get some general Ryoko and Haruhi messing around, which is fun but the Haruhi/Kyon fanboy in me is disappointed that Haruhi seems to be giving Yuki a freepass, but anyway...

We then get the adorable star gazing scene in when Kyon man's up and takes Yuki hand.

So after all this adorablity we get a nice after credit scene with Ryoko giving Yuki romantic advice and setting up the next episode by... BAM CAR RUNS YUKI OVER!!!!!!!!!

Cuteness is good, soft relaxing romance is good, gentle humor is good, but doing all that then hitting the MC with a car is brilliant, because your not really expecting it and your heavily emotional invested in the cast.

On another subject, I think I likely be Asahina at that stargazing scene!

I saw a couple people mentioning the ending and was wondering what people meant. I only saw the scene when Kyon/Nagaton were sleeping in the bus. It wasn't anything shocking.

I checked the episode 10 preview... I now understand why.

Well, good thing they didn't get stuck in the endless recursion of time ala Endless Eight... But damn, Yuki-chan is about to get hit by a car!

Is it sad that I was expecting it when she was about to cross the street, it should be interesting to see how this plays out, the preview makes it seem like Yuki is up moving around with no issues so I guess we'll see how it goes. Great episode overall and I enjoyed this mini arc alot

Somehow, I'm still following this series. The Goddess commands me to, and will bring me great pain if I don't. Still, I find that I'm actually starting to get used to the annoying moeblob whose name graces the title of this show. Kyon is still awesome, as usual, and Team Mom reveals that she has very human concerns and foibles.

Next epsode ... glasses chick gets hit by a car, and walks it off. Which can only mean a temporary bout of amnesia episode. What's especially interesting is the episode title, which is a naked callback to Melancholy.

I get the feeling she didn't get hit by a car just because of the preview, maybe Kyon saves her but gets hit by the car instead, but that would be kinda tropish

When it seems that Kyoani brought their A game in Hibike's last episode and Yahari, in my opinion, having a better one, it is Yuki's description of the stars that made my week.

& i thought the getting ran over by a car trope was lampshaded in Minami-ke! involving a tv drama series about a romance between a certain teacher & his student (Sensei & Ninomiya-kun), cue the doctor's reaction as he watches in horror as his mentally handicapped teacher-student lovers patients about to get road killed for a 3rd time (2nd time for each of them) "what!? NOT AGAIN!!" (wait, did they got ran over by the exact same car?) & them getting hit was because he tried to save them

Wtf seriously? The car accident trope in my Yuki anime? Nope, not possible. This being Yuki, probably will turn to another hilarious misunderstanding. Yep that must be it.

Is it just me, or do the landscapes and scenery look a lot more detailed than they did in earlier episodes?
