Well first chapter is out, I don't know about familiars.

I mean it has a nice touch but how can you go around on all the season of the world witches without them?, seems that they are the reason a girl becomes a witch, and yeah this is the same universe as all the previous seasons.

There is the class night witch too, by description Anya is one too.

Well didnt expect the whole familiar thing for the witches but a fun aspect to it with that bird wreaking havoc with cats

The familiar thing is a bit odd. This doesn't seem like the time to introduce a universe shifting concept like that. Where the heck were all the familiars in every other Strike Witches series and spin-off to this point? Sure the Witches are the only ones that can see them, but seems a long shot that no one would mention them at all at any point in the franchise before now. All the more so since if you give it up or lose it...there goes witch status?

Anyways, not a bad first episode. Nothing special, but not bad. It does introduce a lot of characters at once. The main cast seems perfectly fine at a first glance. And the idea of people needing song to refresh their spirits during endless conflict does make sense.

Will just have to see how things play out.

episode 1:

liking how Ginny sang that song. It's relaxing to listen to.

have never finished any Strike Witches anime, I usually got bored halfway then drop.

but this idol version feels like something I could watch to the final episode.

looking forward to next week.
