Well, that was a pretty nice end. The ending itself is pretty good.
The live concert with the OP was great.

And the new song... not only wasn't that good, but there was no animation either. Ha-ha-ha-...



Anyways, final thoughts...
First, it was a good anime. But it is unfortunate that I can't really say it was an excellent anime. I mean, it was never really boring (Hibiki...) and all of the episodes were watchable (Hibiki...). But there were problems too and because of that, I can only give this a
8/10
which actually surprises me, since I thought that I thought it was great. Or at least I did at one time.

For one thing, the animation/art. It was one of the boasting points of this anime for the first... 1/4th of the episodes? I don't remember, but it suddenly got bad and never recovered. Every episode after episode, you get killer chins, soul-sucking telephones, and everything looking far cheaper than it did at first.
And then it would recover for the dancing, and only for the dancing. Except for the last song, where there wasn't even a dance.
And personally, sacrificing every other time just for a minute or two is not agreeable.
However, it was never Musashi or Cabbage-level, yes.

Second, Hibiki...

Third, Jupiter and Ryuugu Komachi just.. fell so unimportant. Jupiter didn't really do crap and two of its members were absolutely air and they just selfdestructed on their own. No big confrontation or anything.
Ryuugu Komachi was a big part of the first half, but in the second half, I almost forgot the group existed because there was so little focus. And in the end, it doesn't really seem to matter if they existed or not.

Forth, Hibiki...

Fifth, the final dramatic development felt sudden and forced.
Ur, let's drop the Producer into a hole and have Haruka angst over it! I laughed when it happened.



But overall, it was still a good anime to watch. I think the staff did a good job and it turned out better than I thought. And I also feel sorry the game is owned by that company and suffers from their lovable DLC-addiction.
But anyways, it was a good anime.

Based on that comment -- they took their money, got a new office, to become bigger and better than they were before. It'd be hard for them to continue in a small office with so many girls having so many opportunities, jobs, fame, and fortune. In short, they're raking in the dough and are expanding.

Am I correct on that assessment?

Wow... To think just a half a year or so ago, people were writing this show off into the sunset as 'another trashy moé series' or 'another cash-in game/anime conversion'.

Even for those who are still in denial that this show is exceptional, one has to at least admire the love and craft for the animation that's been displayed here.

I was a champion of A-1 studios' efforts for a long time, even if it 'fails' story-wise like maybe with Persona 3 and I'm so glad everything worked out to a T like it did with this show.

Even as a fan of this property ever since the Xbox 360 days, I'm so glad that it's wading off haters (if there's any left to vocalize) with sheer passion and quality.

Not exactly. While they are in dire straights financially, remember that the idols are now famous and well-connected within the industry. They'll manage to recoup their losses quickly enough after a few more jobs. All that has happened is that Takagi inadvertently gave Kuroi a second chance at messing with them (due to the latter using the office sale to scam them).

The 765 building is I daresay as much a character as the girls themselves, and thus I wouldn't mind if they stay there longer

- Takagi invested in a company called "Blackwell Corporation" to buy the new office building
- What he didn't know is that "Blackwell Corporation" was a front company created by Kuroi
- With 961 going under, Kuroi filed for bankruptcy, taking Blackwell along with him
- Since Blackwell is gone, Takagi thus can't claim the building he just bought, and lost his investment in the process too.

Wow, this last episode was really great ! Producer was once again badass in his own way. He leaved the hopital just for them even if he was not allowed to do that. These girls are lucky to have a producer like that bceause IRL, you will never find that

And of course our idol was amazing with their big concert !! Really like the animation for the first song.

The end was great and no Haruka, Miki will never let you have her honey

When I started this serie I thought it would be only something for Otaku and all without much script but in the end I was really wrong (and I'm glad I was). It was a really good show with interesting character and good development. In teh end I give this serie a 8/10 !

My fav charcater are Producer and Takane.

Actually, I was checking episode 10 again, and there is something that I noticed just now which completely flew past me the first time around.

Apparently, when Eri talks to people, she has a habit of ending some of her sentences with an upward sound, as if she's asking a question; as you can see (well, hear) in this clip from a drama CD of hers:

And near the end of the ep, when she's talking with Ai and Ryou about na-m-co-pro's sense of unity, she does the same thing!

I wonder how many little hints from the broader franchise are buried in the show for people to pick up on...

Anyway...I've finished watching the anime at last ;_;
I just can't stop smiling, grinning and not to mention my tears haven't stopped yet ;_; I think it's not because that it's really emotional or something like that..but it probably because that one of the best anime I've watched had ended ;_;

Spoiler for Episode 25 Brief and Overall Thoughts:

Needless to say, it was a pretty outstanding ending. Although they haven't performed too many songs, the songs they sung lived up to expectations and it was enjoyable... How a year made them change so much into something successful.

Overall as a series, it was one of the best shows on my list from this year aside from Madoka, Hourou Musuko, Ikoku Meiro no Croisee, etc and a bit more enjoyable than K-On as the girls actually does something and sing rather than eating cake (but it's by no means bad though). Also, I loved most of the songs, especially from Chihaya (Imai Asumi), easily the best voice overall. However, this show had many great and touching moments, especially episodes 20-24, easily the highest point of the series. Of course, it has also generated interest in playing the actual game and of course motivate me to self-study Japanese. So pretty much I got more than I originally got when I first started watching.

Overall Score: 9.5/10

Oh man, oh man, oh man...it has finally come to an end.

Everything was just right in this episode. We got the revitalized Danketsu, Broducer sneaking out of the hospital, the beautiful animation, the hnnnnng, the "AW FUCK YEA," the new song, and all the good feelings that each episode gave(well, most of them) multiplied by 100000000%.

It was definitely one of the most enjoyable shows I watched this year. Season 2, please?

Good, solid ending. I definitely loved the theme of unity and showing just how far everyone has come together. That "See You Again!" at the end definitely is implying something, but is it a second season, or is it pointing to the other aspects of the iM@S universe? It's been a great ride; one of my favourite shows this season.
