I read a few chapters of the manga adaptation months ago and I fell asleep.

The MC is one of the most boring characters that I have ever seen.

The production values seem on-point...

I have just watched the 2 first eps and it's horrible.

They don't event start the story at the beginning of the manga but the town defense. Watching it at this point from the start doesn't make sense at all.

The slime facial expressions was a selling point but in the anime it's horrible.

That's why they released two episodes at once. They wanted to immediately showcase how OP the MC is to get people hooked (which had the opposite effect on me) and now they explained the backstory in episode 2.

It's pretty terrible but the slimes are cute. I'll keep watching because there's nothing else on Mondays.
