They're only supposed to be closer to the skin like JD. You can see in illustrations that DxD looks more like Balance Breaker.

The art style will take some getting used to but I’m just happy DxD got a 4th season! Most anime don’t get even 2.

How ? Well like with minor details but still things some might not like. For example. In my mind Cardinal Crimson Promotion is as dark or even darker then Rias' hair. Emporio Juggernaut Overdrive being actual shiny silver. Not like Vali's hair is now. That's not silver it's matte gray at best. Sorry. But the longer hair is better tho.

One thing for sure is that the fighting animation is better, let's hope that they keep this up till the end of this season.

I wouldn't go that far. But it's not his best look that's for sure. The longer hair suits him but the fact his clothes don't fit him basically well makes him look well shit. Now i'm afraid of something like this happening to CCP and EJOD. Well we just have to wait and see.

My recollection is that in season 2, I liked the animation in season 1 better.
In season three, I liked the animation in the first two seasons better.
Season Four. The animation seems loose in some way. Eyes and mouths don't center, face shapes seem to be in continual evolution.

But I loved the story and was /so glad/ to be rid of the plot monstrosities that were the end of BORN.

Unfortunately, I can't translate it, but if I could take a wild guess, it may seem the author went out of his way to explain to possible Anime-only Viewers about Ep00.
Maybe, if someone comes around and translates it, may confirm or disclaim my guess.
