E.x. Tr∞pers (ps3ds)
Homepage: http://www.capcom.co.jp/ext/ E.X. TR∞PERS is a new IP from Capcom. Actually it is a spin-off from the Lost Planet series, or has loose ties to it. What is interesting about this title is, that it is completely stylised, or toon/cel shaded, which is unusual for the today's capcom. Looks like they have a change of heart, see HD release of Okami for the PS3. Currently the title is announced for the PS3 and 3DS, yes a weird combination, but we have seen capcom doing PS3 and Wii releases in the past, see Basara 3. I am looking forward to it, it looks fun. If some one only showed me the PV without telling me that it is from Capcom, I would have tipped that it is a SEGA title. I am going to add some pics once I am back on my desktop PC. I don't care how 'good' this game is, Capcom canning MML3 for "lack of interest" and then reusing assets from the game in a f***ing Lost Planet spin off on a platform away from the vast majority of the Lost Planet userbase (the 360) doesn't make any sense at all. Even in crazy Capcom logic.
And I won't support it, tbqh. Capcom can crash and burn at this point for all I care.

H&K called...
...they said thanks for the XM8 cameo.
Specifically, the main character's weapon bears a strong visual resemblance to the PDW configuration (XM8C). Note unusual stock design which seems to have the additional function of keeping two magazines close at hand (this is clear from the image on his profile page). The magazines appear to be unusually small - this could be explained by their fitting further into the receiver than on the actual XM8.

I see that A-Team Firing is in full effect here - considering the lead character was going full-auto, those are very lucky tangos. Dear Capcom: you probably have an interesting story going here, but things like that don't hold up as well as back when A-Team episodes were originally airing...

It took long enough...
...but GameTrailers put up some actual gameplay. Which appears to be excepted from a demo tutorial; a bit of searching turned up a more complete presentation...
...as well as what appear to be its two actual missions: Mission 1 Mission 2 From these, we see...

Demo has been released for some time, for PS3 and 3DS.
The ps3 version is easy to grab, if you have a jpn account. Since the 3ds is region locked you will need a jpn model, unfortunately. One thing, people, who tested both demos, have pointed out is that the ps3 version runs at 30fps, where as the 3DS version at 60fps, if 3D is disabled. The PS3 version is a up port of the 3DS version, think Monhun3p HD, and so on. But the advantage of the ps3 version is, that it has online multiplayer support, the 3ds version has only supports local multiplayer mode. Unless you have a japanese 3DS, the ps3 version is the one to import. |

Ooh-gah, ooh-gah; now dig this. Gamespot's most recent episode of Now Playing has this in the spotlight.
