what is deidara exactly? Male or Female? Gaara in 248 during the fight called Deidara a "she" some here say male.. I like to know to prevent further confusion

No one ever called Deidara a "she", either he didn't actually say that in the translation you saw or the translation was wrong.

I definitely agree about Deidara looking and acting male, I was just wondering if this has officially been confirmed as of yet? Having read all the raws, I don't recall Deidara ever having been referred to by a gender specific pronoun in the manga.

It is not official as of yet, as you say, in the raw is has not been used a specific pronoun to specify the gender. But I think he look more like a male than Haku did.

I don't remember exactly which chapters but Deidara uses Ore and Oria both masculine pronouns.

While it is a good argument for gender, it's not conclusive evidence, as plenty of (usually "boyish") female characters in manga and anime have used those. I suppose I should have specified 3rd person pronouns.

There're 32 volumes for the Japanese version. There was an ad for 32 in last weeks ' Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.
So far I'm sticking with the Japanese version for Naruto ^^'
I buy them from www.amazon.co.jp (first 10 volumes) and it's cheaper than ordering them at the local manga stores >_>

I bought my Japanese Naruto manga at Book Off in Harajuku. 100 yen (about 82 cents right now) a piece. Used of course, but you could hardly tell. It's been a year, so I need to get my hands on 28-32 somehow though.

Well yeah afterall Oro talks like a little girl.
I don't remember Deidara being called with a clear 3rd person pronouns.

However in the last interview of Kishimoto when he was asked about Kunoichi (or rather the lack of) he said that he would introduce a good one soon and this interview took place after the introduction of Deidara.

Well that doesn't mean he hadn't just recently added one, or possibly that he simply thought Deidara was weak. Hehe, ok I'll stop now before it gets ridiculous. Stupid to argue about something we all agree on.

i wonder if naruto is goin to summon that frog that had two blades on him, this was in eps1, and i think the 4th was standing on it, the frog was more of a brown creamy color, you cant missed it.
