Just started reading this yesterday and I gotta say it's pretty amazing. The only thing I'm wondering is where are chapters 85-90? I was on baka-updates and for some reason it skips from chapter 84 to 91. Any reason why?

At that time, those chapters weren't compile in Graphic Novel format yet and were still serialize in the manga's Monthly magazine. Some group decide to scan one of the latest chapter in the magazine while recently the newest graphic novel of the series has just been release and being scanlated as we speak.

Hope that explains it.

I read on a other board that the author has released a official announcement on his blog that the series is on hiatus until further notices. Seems like bad news to me...

Who was the guy pretending to be Ascherit in chapter 3? Gustav in chap 2 was THE actual "lances of betrayal", just revived with some kind of black magic right?

It's written on his blog, so he kept mum on reasons. Simply 'Ubel Blatt starting from chapter etc etc is on indefinite hiatus, sorry to the fans, patience, etc etc etc.'

Though judging from his blog, I wouldn't say he's having any real private life problems, since he can casually blog about playing Bayonetta as well as getting his shipment order of German language foreign films, and watching them.

Ms Gleaa said that Ikfes is more talented than Ascheritt, but Ikfes has been in teh sword school for 5 years, and still hadn't perfected the Black Wing, yet Ascheritt, with only 3 months of training at age 12 was able to do it AND technically obtain the title of "Blatt Maester". I don't see the logic here.

I'm guessing he was mentally holding himself back because of his past while Ascheritt didn't have such mental barriers.

Hell the author made the right choice with Bayonetta =P Game is sooooooo good. Though it's a bit of a letdown that we have to wait until he feels like starting it up again.

the author is busy with is other gender bender manga. Guess he'd rather focus on that for now while resourcing for Ubel Blatt.
