Another interview/video showing lots more footage, and the voices of the characters.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tu-K0gCastM How come the voices are exactly how I imagined them to be? I must have watched anime too much. (Although, Rio's voice sounds much deeper than I thought). |

すごい!!
They're using that vocal chorus setting on the synth just like the opening of Sky Crawler. What's with the angry snowmen? Miyazaki backgrounds. Six months after the armistice. Kanata - the newbie Rio - the sempai Felicia - the mother Noel - the driver and Takemikazuchi - No. 1121 platoon's broken tank that she spends all her time fixing (see Isara and Edelweiss from Valkyria Chronicles) Kureha - the mood maker (tsundere) I'm in!

K-ON? So Kanata can't play her trumpet and Rio (Mio) has to teach her? I'm just wonder what the relationship between Rio and Felicia is? The main pic on the website has the two of them sort of holding hands and Rio looking right at Felicia. |

This shot really emphasizes all their personalities - tsundere Kureha, genki Kanata, introverted Noel, warm Felicia, and pensive Rio, all against the background of Shuko the owl. Did you watch the videos? They're quite cute. They show newcomer seiyuu, Hisako Kanamoto, who plays Kanata, (Kaoru Chujo-sensei, why does ANN report it as Juri Aikawa?) visiting a JDF base to learn how to stand at attention, stand at ease, do pushups, and play the bugle.

What part of Japan do you figure Felicia Heidemann and Noel Carnegie are from? The others, granted. The domestic audience probably wouldn't appreciate all the characters having weird foreign names. It makes them hard to relate to.
(I apologize for my previous comment. A very tasteless joke. )
