Yeah might as well enjoy the time when the humans could actually do something. After that point the ability of characters to contribute in a fight shifted.

Though at the same time were some good arcs so could understand wanting to jump into them. While I know the importance did like the other ones more than that particular one. But nothing wrong with going through the story in order .

No offense, but that's a silly reason.

Here's some more recent news. The first episode is going to have some flashbacks from the original Dragon Ball series along with some scenes from the Bardock TV special. This is a good way of starting the series in case some people have not seen the original Dragon Ball series. It will get them up to speed on how Goku came to be and why the earth is at peace in the present time before the arrival of Raditz.

well to be honest.....I've never seen Dragonball and just the first 15-20 episodes of the DBZ dub So I'm one of the probably three people on the world who's never seen DBZ fully and I'm very happy with this re-edit

I wouldn't call it new. It's more of a cut copy and paste job maybe with redrwn scenes or new scenes. A project to improve the flow and pace of the original series.

so, first episode impressions:

Wow, that was pretty. That was the first thing that came to mind. The level to which they worked to digitally remaster this was just amazing. Good show. Opening and endings were in wonderfully dragonball form. Lots of spoilers, but this show is old enough that I don't think it matters much ^_^;;

Speaking of spoilers, they start right off the bat with showing the freeza vs. planet vegita attack, that was amusing. Moved right on to a montage of the original db to set up to where z's story begins.

As far as I can tell, the rest of the episode followed the original pretty faithfully. I'm not a dragonball connoisseur so I don't think I'd notice any really subtle stuff though.

With this and OP back to back I can safely say that Sunday officially is the best tv watching day of the week! Can't wait to see more!

Well someone just told me that the score is completely new, so here goes my interest in watching this. I'll give it a few episodes go to check out the new score, but still i'm very disappointed in that choice.
