Card Goblins are already 100% faithful to Masato, I don't see any reason why Charisma would overwrite that, just redundant.
The original Card Effect would be to control enemy player's goblins imho.
The Buff though would work to all allied Goblins.

Also, the Attack/Defense stats don't work straightforward like that.

They may be 100% faithful to Masato, but the intelligent ones aren't 100% faithful to his ideas. Considering the goblin queen and Kurokage are literally keeping secrets from him while working behind his back in his best interest or whatever.
Plus, he specifically told Kurokage to not do anything, which not only did she disobey, the goblin queen is the one who convinced her to.

Also, when did Masato say that a "2/2" Wyvern was better than a 3/3 Goblin?
The wyvern's base stats were 4/4 to begin with, right? Hell, he expected it to be better than a 4/4 and was disappointed at how low it was when he re-summoned it.

That means Gorilla Man has around 3 strength, defense probably less. That's what I meant by "best". It's probably technically possible for other musclefreaks to do the same thing.
Plus Kurokage is a 2/2 (not sure if these stats include her "aptitudes") and the ghoul and vampire were kinda physically overpowering her.

By the same logic, intelligent goblins won't succumb to Charisma
But other goblins would follow King now, at least those in his immediate vicinity

Yeah, but the only intelligent enough Goblin is the queen. And even then the charisma is a special ability; we have no idea how it works.

Looking at the chapter he summoned the wyvern again (chapter 69), I don't see him mentioning that anywhere.

That guardian has a special effect, nullify physical damage.
There's literally no way he can lose unless they start using torches.

Besides, I'm pretty sure these cards would originally have health pools that we just aren't informed of or don't exist in this world.
Since defense isn't HP. So some cards with less defense could very likely take more damage that one with more defense.

Yeah, but those are for attack mode and defense mode, if I recall. The defense stat is useless in attack mode and the attack stat is useless in defense mode.
And unless you can destroy the monster in one hit, there's no point even attacking it, save for special effects.

Magic Eater is closer to Hearthstone than Yugioh.
Or rather it's closer to Magic the Gathering but that's a lot harder to explain.

Besides, in Magic Eater we don't see cards dying in one hit. That shows that they have SOME sort of HP, otherwise piercing defense would always mean death.
Masato himself has a health pool with ATK and DEF so other cards probably would too.

Well Masato did say she was crazy and clearly bipolar, and from the start she was craving a dick pretty hard.
I guess to her a dick > 50,000 goblins. Masato was saying he needed to go back to the church to get healed, but he unlocked a new deck he hasn't even glanced at yet, right?
I'm pretty sure that'll have an answer, to curing his disease and her spreading disease at that. Typically how it works.

The development lately is quite nice. The only problem I have with this series is, that there are so many characters (which is good) that I usually forget the more minor ones. For example, I have no idea who Roa is... was.

A pity many people probably dropped this series in the beginning, before it got so good (might be an author with the greatest improvement during one series I have met).
