Mid-Childa Galaxia Issue #6.9 : Keeping Fit with Males
Spoiler:
WELCOME BACK TO TEH HI-LITE REEL...wait, wrong show.
Following the very...informative encounter with the 4 Aces, today we'll take a look at 3 top-tier males who are both capable mages alongside being successful men in their field of expertise. We of Galaxia actually extended our offer to another person in RF6, but we've got absolutely no reply whatsoever, so sadly, we've taken it as a refusal.
Vice: Weird... I don't recall any offer like that reaching my watchful eyes... You, Griffith? Griffith: No, I don't recall... Zafira: .... (( Now that I think about it, there was a piece of paper outside my shed... ))
Roll the footage, monkeys!
First off is the young Admiral, Chrono Harlaown!
IV: This is Galaxia. We would like to ask you a simple question...Admiral?
An empty office room...a warm cup of coffee... only an audio tape on the table...
IV: What's this? The Very Hectic Life of an Admiral that Administrates Time-Space? Non-confidential!? Play it!
???: Hucken****! Where's my Hucken****!? How the hell am I supposed to survive OG1 if-! IV: Huh? ???: ....Jomy...I'm passing on one part of my responsibilty to administrate this part of time-space to you...you will be the New Sold- IV: .... ???: Man... The fight would've gone so much easier if only I had Banka- IV: .... ???: Zearth... IV: .... ???: What a hectic schedule...at least it was better compared to when Ha**** was ordering me around...what do you mean an upcoming season!!?!?!?!? *tape ends* IV: ....Looks like the Admiral...is busy...very busy.... We wish him good luck. He'll need it...
Next off is Verossa Acous, TSAB intelligence officer and also one of the last users of Ancient Belka.
IV: So, how is it that you keep your game up? Rossa: Well, you see, due to obvious reason such as ca*on, I cannot reveal too much. As you see, I am an intel officer, so management of information to prevent any abuse or physological attack on me is important. IV:I see. What can you tell us then? Rossa: Well, let's just say it's extremely important to be the one who's not wearing the pants in the relationship, the very important ones indeed. Playing hooky here and there in hotels is one thing, but to try and pull such stunts against extremely armed and dangerous family are- *gets his ears pulled from both sides* Carim: Extremely armed...and dangerous, ah? Since you're an intel officer and can't dwell it to public, surely you can go...in-depth with onee-san, right? I have a very very nice tea being brewed right now...by my little sister's doctor friend. Hayate: I'm also dying to know...onii-chan. Rossa: ...All in a day's work.
And lastly, a member of the Archeologist Guild, and also manager of Infinity Library, Professor Yuuno Scrya.
IV: As an academic in the field, you're technically retired from being a mage, and is solely focusing on your desk job. How do you deal with such issues? Yuuno: A lot of people get the impression that management of information with the use of magic is not hard, but when one considers how long the Infinity Library's been understaffed, it's not as easy as it seems. There's a lot of work going into it, and even I don't have access to every single thing which complicates work. IV: Interesting. Anything else? ???: GRAHH!!! BURAGHHH!!!! IV: Huh? What was that sound? Yuuno: What? Sorry, I couldn't hear that. Struggle Bind! IV:There seem to be some strange sounds... Yuuno: Sorry, can you speak louder? Damn that lousy Chrono...what perfectly safe and secure ancient text that requires my assestment? How safe is a large tome with sharp teeth that bites? Chain Bind! IV: Excuse me...Professor? Yuuno: Sorry, seem like the reception's bad here. Struggle Bind! Chain Bind! Seal!"
*BEEP...BEEP...*
Yuuno: Sorry about that. Now to answer your previous question... let's just say that the weight of management varies and we get our share of tedious assignments, one way or another. What? There's more!? I'll remember this, Chrono... All hands, ready at 3! IV: I see... sensei, that earlier sound...
*hung up*
That was interesting...to say the least for all 3 of them.
All in a day's work of Chro-no Kishi Dan.
Now, who can get all my Sugita references? :3
Apart from what's been said, the only thing i caught was the biting books from harry potter Although, that's not really Sugita...

Dance of the Demons - Act II
Flying back to the plant I’ve noticed with a displeasure that the rain caused by that Testarossa’s magic wasn’t going to stop. On the contrary, it seemed to become stronger and I expected a real downpour to begin every minute. For a second I felt a little sympathy for the girl left lying unconscious under the rain.
- Don’t you think you’ve dealt too harsh with the girl, Ma~ster? – I was sure that damned Device was reading my thoughts, though it never admitted it.
- What are you talking about? That was probably the best possible outcome we could expect. With her speed I would’ve never managed to react in time if I didn’t expect her to pull something like this from the beginning. Even with that being said if I hesitated even for a second we would’ve been done for.
- You’re exaggerating things as always, Master. You just didn’t want to put too much effort in it.
- Tch, you may think whatever you want. Anyway, we’re getting close to the plant.
Indeed, I could already see the silhouette of the damaged plant ahead of us. However, the rain didn’t allow me to say for sure if the attackers were still inside or already finished their business. I was deciding if I should approach the plant immediately or try to detect the girls’ magical presence from here when I suddenly sensed something familiar. Soon I’ve realized the nature of the sensation – someone or something was gathering free magic particles from the surroundings. It reminded me a lot about my own ability, but much less delicate, though considerably powerful. The point where magic particles were gathered floated above the plant and I was going to concentrate on it more precisely but didn’t make it in time. A bright pink flash suddenly interrupted my concentration making me blink for a moment, and then an enormous beam of raw magical energy came down from the sky. It hit approximately at the centre of the plant, causing a series of loud explosions followed by a single bigger one, which engulfed the plant almost entirely. When it calmed down there could only be seen several load-bearing wall panels left standing among smoldering wreckage at the place of the former plant. The amount of used power was impressive to say the least.
- So that’s how it looks … Starlight Breaker.
- Right on the spot as usual, Ma~ster.
- Say, didn’t you find the preparations for the spell similar to the abilities you and I possess?
- That would be true, there’re definitely some similarities.
- I knew that Device wasn’t so simple. By the way, what could you say about that spell’s power?
- I could block it.
- Is that so? What about redirecting it?
- I could block it, - repeated the Device.
- Whatever, that’s enough with me.
Although being able to witness a Starlight Breaker personally was a pleasant surprise, it destroyed the remnants of the Drones from which I was counting to extract recorded combat data. Also the girls’ job was now finished and they were certainly going to wonder where could disappear their fourth comrade. Immediately leaving the scene seemed the most appropriate action to me if I didn’t want to get into more trouble.
- Master, don’t you sense it? – Aether Origin suddenly interrupted my thoughts, this time in a male voice that seemed almost normal except some metallic chime in it.
- What’s with the change again? Are you feeling well today? – I tried to be sarcastic.
- Please, concentrate on the one who used that spell just now, you will understand.
That line shocked me a bit – I’ve never heard Aether Origin talking so polite. The three girls were standing in front of the devastated plant talking about something. I’ve concentrated my attention on Captain Takamachi. The change was obvious. Casting Starlight Breaker cost her dearly – channeling such amounts of magical energy put a heavy strain both on her physical body and Linker Core. The distortion of the flow of magic particles around her showed that she won’t be able to use the magic as effectively for the next few hours unless she desired to increase the tension even further. Her Device, on the other hand, was at its best. It seemed like the usage of a powerful spell only gave it more energy instead of being a burden. It all was so unexpected and interesting that it took me some time to regain the ability to think clearly. It was an opportunity, an awesome chance, and almost fail-proof on top of all.
- Let’s go, today we’re going to make that Device show us if it’s got something up its sleeve, - I said to Aether Origin and to myself at the same time.
Yes, I’ll make Raising Heart reveal any hidden powers it could have that are linking it to Aether Origin. And when I’m sure in their relationship I’ll take it with me and hack into its core. This way I will get to know its past and its creators – the ones who truly rule over magic and time-space! I could’ve achieved the same goal simply hacking into my own Device, but nobody would guarantee me surviving this act, so I had to take a longer way. And this way could be reaching its end right now.
The three girls noticed me as soon as I got into their line of sight. They seemed to be worried but tried to hide it from me. Nanoha stepped forward.
- I’m Captain Takamachi Nanoha of the TSAB Air Force, we’re on an official mission, who’re you and what are you doing here, sir? – She asked.
- Serge Romardo, Head Investigator of the TSAB Intelligence Department Special Section D. My objective here was extracting the combat data from the Drones but as you see it’s impossible now.
- From the Drones? But why would you? … And don’t you mean that Drone also … What happened to Fate-chan?! – She seemed to care a lot about that girl.
- Fate-chan? Do you mean Enforcer Harlaown? I’m pretty sure she’ll be alright, though she could have to spend a little time in the infirmary.
- You bastard! – The one named Vita made a step towards me but was stopped by Signum.
- Hold on, Vita, - said the sword-wielding Knight calmly.
- That … Do you understand you’re breaking TSAB regulations right now? – Nanoha started to speak again.
- His Device is interfering with us preventing the voice and video recording, my Master, - Commented Raising Heart.
- To go this far … what are you trying to achieve here, Investigator Romardo?
- I’ve already said it – I’m after the combat data, - I said firmly, - and you’re going to provide it for me.
- Sorry, but I don’t understand.
- I will explain, - saying this I reached a round device attached to my belt and pressed on its top.
The device immediately turned on, producing a rhythmical sound that a human could barely hear.
- I’ve activated the jammer that will prevent any attempts to remotely teleport any of us out of here or send the reinforcements, - I said, - Though the loss of contact with you will soon be noticed, it’ll take them quite a lot of time to get here by other means, so we’re all by ourselves.
- Why are you doing it?
- I simply don’t want anyone to interfere. I want you to have a battle with me, Captain Takamachi. Or rather I want to fight against your Device
.
- Wha..?! But why all of a sudden? And why should I go along with you?
- I desire to test the extents of power of your Device, those which aren’t documented in TSAB archives and are never shown in training sessions. It is … important for me to know. As soon as we’re done I’ll turn off the jammer or you’ll do it yourself. I’ll also promise full support of the Intelligence Department to you and the unit Lt.-Col. Yagami is creating in case you’re willing to cooperate.
- So now you’re trying to bribe me? How can I trust your words anyway?
- Do not misunderstand, I will make you defend yourself by force if it’s needed, but in that case your friends here may get hurt as well.
- Now you’ve said it! – Vita tried to come at me again but was stopped by Signum once more.
- Alright, - said Nanoha, - I’ll do what you want, but you get us to Fate-chan first.
- Nanoha! – I heard the familiar voice behind me.
When I turned around I was able to see the blonde Enforcer again. She certainly recovered faster than I expected and most probably rushed here immediately. Her Barrier Jacket was still covered in mud and she had a noticeable bruise on the left side of the forehead.
- Fate-chan, are you OK? – Nanoha ran to her friend.
- Do not worry, I’m alright. But the man over there is dangerous, - Fate pointed at me.
- No need to push yourself too hard, Enforcer Harlaown, - I said, - We already have an agreement with Captain Takamachi here, so I’d recommend you to step back and rest a little.
- Nanoha, don’t tell me you’re really going to fight with him here. And you’ve already used a lot of your power today, - Fate kept insisting.
- I’ll be alright, - answered Nanoha, - He seems determined to see what Raising Heart can do, so I’ll give him what he wants. And after that we’ll return home and have a nice lunch together. OK, Fate-chan?
- I trust you, Nanoha. But don’t overdo it.
- I won’t, - Nanoha smiled at Fate.
- Are you finished already? – I made my voice sound impatient.
- If you hurt Nanoha I’ll smash your head, - I heard Vita’s voice again.
I ignored the brat and moved about 20 meters away from the girls. There I activated my Barrier Jacket for the first time in this world. Leather top-boots, long pants, simple belt, leather jacket with long sleeves and high collar – everything colored black with golden edges. My Device is in its sealed form as a golden bracelet around the right hand, black leather glove on the left. Obviously it’s not as fancy as Nanoha’s dress, but I’m not a fan of such things. I looked at Aether Origin.
- How about changing to combat form? – I tried to make it sound most ordinary.
- I’ll see about it.
- Do as you wish, just don’t complain if I get killed someday, - I thought I managed to crack a joke.
- Understood, - the Device probably didn’t get it.
- Shall we start at once or make preparations beforehand? – I asked when Nanoha took her place about 50 steps away from me.
- I don’t care, - she replied.
We stood silently for several seconds and I could only hear the sound of continuing rain that seemed to have no end to it. Three other girls were looking at us from a considerable distance but still stayed close enough to interfere if they decided it necessary.
- I’ll make my preparations then - Aether Web! - I shouted, rising my hands to the level of my shoulders and tossing my head up.
I heard a distant thunderclap and felt numerous drops of rain hitting my face. With my eyes I could also see a dense net of aether threads quickly forming around me, in the space between me and Nanoha and even around her too. Other spectators of course couldn’t see anything and I smiled noticing Nanoha’s slightly surprised expression. She didn’t say anything but at the next moment a great number of small pink energy balls appeared around her, similar to those she used against the Drones. She stopped materializing them when their number came close to hundred.
- Here I go, - she said calmly.
Immediately after that all the balls rushed at me simultaneously, with each following its own path.
- Pathetic, - I murmured.
Every path the balls were taking was known to me the moment they started moving. That’s what happens if you plan their movements beforehand – my Aether Insight reveals such things instantly. I ordered my threads to intercept incoming energy balls, following them with the movements of my fingers and waves of my hands – absolutely unnecessary actions but I somehow obtained this habit and couldn’t get rid of it. Every time a thread cut through respective energy ball its part became visible and shined gold, making the ball explode in a cloud of pink sparkles. From the outside it looked like a weird dance of golden fireflies in the sky filled by rapid fireworks.
Having dealt with the first volley, I saw that Nanoha wasn’t going to stop at that and already had the second one ready. “A forward beam attack” – reported my Aether Insight at the same time that she launched the balls. I left a few threads to intercept energy balls making them swirl wildly around me so that each of them could get as much balls as possible, and gathered most of the threads to parry Nanoha’s beam. “Divine Buster”, - confirmed her Device and a thick pink beam emerged from the tip of Raising Heart and charged at me, illuminating the ground beneath it and evaporating the drops of rain that appeared to be on its path. Fortunately my defenses were already finished and the beam bumped into a golden wedge consisting of hundreds of separate threads that materialized in front of me as I abruptly raised my right hand. The beam got split in two halves and burrowed into the ground by my sides with a rumbling sound leaving me standing untouched. I’ve instantly broken the wedge back into threads and directed them at the remaining energy balls. But this time I made the threads seize control of the balls’ movement instead of destroying them. The threads wrapped themselves around the balls and made Nanoha their new target. Approximately two dozens of balls were caught by my threads and eagerly charged at their former master’s head. Nanoha reacted by extending her right arm forward and deploying a round shield on the balls’ path at the last moment, so I couldn’t change the direction of their movement to avoid hitting into the shield. Smoke resulting from the explosions covered Nanoha from my sight for a while.
- Isn’t it time to get serious? – I shouted at her.
- Don’t regret it afterwards, - told me her voice.
When the smoke cleared I saw her surrounded by a bunch of energy balls again, but this time they all had different sizes and color. I gathered the threads closer to me and it proved to be the right decision. When Nanoha launched her third volley I couldn’t foresee exact paths of the energy balls anymore. They all had the same target but didn’t follow any distinctive pattern and changed their directions randomly. I didn’t know if she guessed right how my ability worked or was just trying another tactic, but now I had to intercept the balls relying mostly on my reflexes, though Aether Insight still helped to determine the balls’ short-term movements. A pair of balls managed to break through my defenses but I was able to dodge them and they sank fizzling into the ground. Having my attention drawn by the balls I’ve lost sight of Nanoha again when I got another “Incoming beam attack” report by Aether Insight. “Where’s she?” – I looked around desperately but she was nowhere to be seen.
- From above, Master – Suddenly talked Aether Origin.
I looked up only to see a pink flash ready to depart in my direction.
- You’re too late, dumb-ass – I cursed and tried to form a cone-shaped cover above my head using all the threads I could still move there in time.
- It's over, - I heard Nanoha's voice, but continued concentrating on moving the threads.
The work was about halfway done when the pink beam reached me and I got engulfed in the stream of magical energy.
Well, surely Mr. Head Investigator couldn't be defeated just yet Or could he? Act III should be ready by weekend
Awesome work!!

I don't know, but basically as long as the villains are not overpowered and around the reasonable circle of logic, I think it's safe to do so.
Great Characters USB!!! No complaints about the gunslingers. Although Arthur/Lancelot's background/spells are a bit too blantant in the references.....

Here's something for Kha while I was scrounging my photobucket:
Ha. Aside from the obvious ones like Kyon/Haruhi and Bullet from SRW, none of you got it right.
I thought the fact that I made Haruhi a previous assignment for him obvious. All the Sugita references are about anime/games with his voices in it that are currently airing/or in recording session. :3
The SRW one, obvious. I even put in the Huckenbein = Gundam so not in SRW rumor in it.
And the Bankai one is technically, right and wrong. It's actually Gintama, a comedy parody anime where Sugita's character keeps complaining how much better would it be if he had Bankai.
The Jomy one...go watch Toward the Terra. Damn good sci-fi anime, with a SERIOUS non-comedy Sugita role.
And Zearth is Bokurano...
Haruhi is well...Haruhi.

Basically, it depends on what sort of villain you want to have. Someone who can pwn the Aces with sheer magical power needs a high (SSS or something) rating. Someone who creates an army to do the pwning may not need something that high; we don't know what magical rating Scaglietti has, for example.
And then there's another sort of villain, the master manipulator, who may have zero ability in magic, but is able to waltz into the highest echelons of command with his/her silver tongue and turn allies against one another.
Personally, I'm biased towards low-magic villains, but those with high charisma and intelligence. One of the hardest villains to defeat is the one which nobody bothers looking for, since they're all busy fighting one another.
I'd make a comparison to Lex Luthor, but there's too many counter-examples in the comics already, so I'll just refrain. Instead, if you've seen Read Or Die (the ROD TV series in particular), consider how much actual power Mr. Joker/Carpenter has.
EDIT: And then there's the "Not Applicable" of, say, AI villains, which have a venerable tradition in science fiction from HAL to SHODAN to Guilty Spark.
- Well if anyone here says "any level", he's a target for the sniper rifle... no, make it a BGM-109 TLAM-N variant.
- well like Kha said, he's a bit of both... that's why his rank was labeled as 'X', even though the magical capability may be lesser than / equal to a person such as Nanoha.
- well if said villain had enough lieutenants to keep the good guys busy- he'll be hard to find as well... unless one cracks- and with tons of conventional and 'unconventional' methods the bureau employs, who would not crack under moegatons of moe?
- *nods* All Hail Joker yup... the extremely manipulative... but if you couple that kind of villain with something of a S class mage, you might just get a criminal that is of X-class... powerful mind+powerful tools+powerful and plentiful minions = a hard to beat enemy.

As far as I can tell, in the actual canon Nanohaverse, the mage ranking of someone who hasn't actually taken a TSAB-proctored mage ranking exam is based on estimates, especially from some vague form of readings of magical ability ("over 9000" and all that). This measures magical ability and nothing more.
I wonder if there should be another data field for villains: namely, "Threat Rating". A villain with a high Threat Rating may have a low magical rank but is still highly dangerous due to some other factor, be it mechanical or scientific or manipulative genius, or physical strength.
This way, the villain's actual magical ability and their threat level are separate, as I think they should be. Granted, since the mage ranking for non-tested mages is based off estimates anyway, the character in question can use their ingenuity or some other method to seem to have greater magical power than they really do.
-
On a tangent, I'd like to mention that according to Chrono in the first season of MSLN, two things are impossible for magic: to bring the deceased back to life, and to go back in time. Not "forbidden" or "very hard", but "cannot be done".
Gome! I was fighting fire after my disasterous X-post and so I missed it out.
Emo? Well not as bad as Teana. Now I wonder what Saber would say if she sees him. After all, on one hand her wish was granted, but on the other hand not much has changed. Brilliant reinterpretation of Terran folklore! Maybe I shuld do one for Asian mythology, but I suxx0r at history. Omnislash as a Noble "Illusion" FTW!
Why do I suddenly get Advent Children vibes coming from Lyrical of Time?
Teana is an emo?
hey, maybe you should do one for Asian mythology. Who knows what might come out.
you have partially answered the questions. ironically I also got the vibes of Advent Children after reviewing the character roster.

I know, the references are a bit too much IMO as well (after all, Arthur was the great-ancestor of Alexandra Enfield, one of the OCs mentioned here).
I just need to complete my works on Guinevere's profile, and the file will be complete.

Spoiler for Revelations of...SAY WHAT!?! Part 3:
Mabiko: I arrived in a world that was slightly more modern than my home dimension. Conscious of my appearance, I hid myself in a nearby alley until a red-headed teacher found me, apparently thinking I was student out of the dorms after established curfew.
*FLASH*
Teacher: What are you doing out here at this time of...hmm? What do we have here?
Mabiko shrank back further as a hand approached...and stroked her head.
Teacher: You certainly don't look like you're from around here...and you're definitely not an orphan from your appearance...
Feeling the warmth of the hand and its caring intent, Mabiko calmed down and stepped forward to embrace the teacher in a hug.
Teacher: Such an innocent young kid...come on, let's get you to my place. I'm Sugiura Midori.
Mabiko: ...Tennoka...Mabiko...
Midori: Well, Mabiko-chan, let's go home and get you things to cover up your cute little features.
Mabiko: I was lucky to have met with Midori. She accepted me without any questions, respecting my privacy. In return, I tried not to make a scene while wandering campus during class time. It was during this time that a Intern Teacher from a university named Takamura Kyouji joined the faculty. It was around this time that Midori started to do nightly "patrols" while I slept. As time went on, I found myself swept up in an unbelievable event. 12 maidens forced to fight each other for the sake of repelling a star of disaster for 300 years...and Midori was one of them. In the end, I could only watch as the dark lord fought Kyouji-san while Tokiha Mai-neesan had to fight Mikoto-san...then it all ended...however...
Mai: Is there no other way to stop the Hime-boshi?
Mashiro: There is one more way, but the price is great. That is...your existence. You must draw the Kusanagi of Stars sealing Kagutsuchi's real body, which is inside the giant tree, unseal him. He will devour your existence and then repel the star.
Mabiko: It was at this point that I revealed my presence.
Mabiko dropped down from the cavern roof, the giant hat Midori had given her fluttering free and revealing her ears.
Mashiro: You are...
Mai: Mabiko-chan? I thought you were with Midori-sensei.
Kyouji: What brings you here?
Mabiko: Enough sacrifices! I can't stand all my friends fighting and hurting each other...and dying as well... Why must this system exist in the first place!?! Mashiro-san, you know the answer, don't you?
As Mabiko spoke, a small red flash is seen coming from inside her shirt. Mashiro's eyes widened a brief moment before softening once more.
Mashiro: (It seems that she is one of the possible 13ths...) ...I do not know the answer, Mabiko. However, should you accept the burden, you can go in Mai's stead and pull the blade...
Mabiko: ...I'll do it...I want to let Mai-san and Kyouji-san be together...
Mabiko walks over to where the couple were standing.
Mabiko: I know I haven't met you for very long...but this is something that I feel I must undertake...
Mabiko takes a peice of folded paper with "To Midori" written on top and holds it out to Kyouji, who accepts it without a word.
Mabiko: Give me the Kusanagi of Ritual...I might make use of it once the other one is freed...
Kyouji nodded as he held the artifact bronze short sword out to the young girl, who took it and bolted for the location of the other Kusanagi.
Mashiro: ...I wish her the best of luck...
Mabiko: I knew of the consequences if I released Kagutsuchi's full power, having seen Mai in combat with her sealed child. Holding the Kusanagi of Ritual in one hand, I tugged the Kusanagi of Stars out, releasing Kagutsuchi.

Answering her, Mabiko's pet, two devices, and the twin blades radiated a power as it concentrated into the blades. Clashing the blades together, Mabiko unleashed the gathered energy in the form of a huge beam to counter the flow of the inferno, sending the massive magic energy into Kagutsuchi's throat. A shriek resounded as Kagutsuchi dove straight for Mabiko. Fang met Blade as the two clashed and enlightened the dark world briefly. Kyouji and Mai, who had been watching, covered their eyes until the flash subsided. As they looked to the sky, the red star had vanished back into the sky, leaving only a tiny red twinkle as it left for the time being. Kagutsuchi and Mabiko were nowhere to be seen...

Mabiko: When I came to, I was in a white freefall space with Kagutsuchi hovering in front of me. It said nothing as I gathered my bearings...and suddenly spoke in a deep rumbling voice.
Kagutsuchi: Young Wanderer, your actions have brought about unforeseen consequences. How do you answer to this?
Mabiko: I only have one wish...and that is to protect these precious feelings. I have seen my friends suffer enough. I do not wish for them to suffer any longer...
Kagutsuchi seemed to shrink as it loomed forward, slowly transforming into...Nagi.
Nagi: I will accept those feelings as payment...perhaps even preserve your existence...however, you must depart for your next location. Your little friend has it all ready for you now.
As Mabiko opened the cellphone, the numbers 988-7464 were displayed. Silently, she locked the cellphone in place as her tranportation formation appeared under her, fighting back tears.
Nagi: Don't worry about the others, Mabiko-chan. They will still remember you. I will tell Midori of what transpired.
Mabiko: ...Thank you, Nagi-niichan...
Nagi: Don't thank me, Mabiko-chan. You forged your own path and protected those you love. In addition, you destroyed a vicious cycle of fate plaguing us. For that, Mashiro and I thank you.
With a flash, Mabiko vanished from the world, headed towards her next world.
Nagi: ...Your belief was tested here, but you fell into despair despite seeing your belief through. I hope the next world will bring out of the despair and learn to hope once more...
Mabiko: As I headed for the next destination, something tugged at me. I saw purple pulsating machinery surrounding me, threatening to engulf me. Just as I was about to just give up, a Green light shone upon me, and purple machinery shrank back. From the light, I could see a hand reaching down to me. Full of hope, I grabbed the hand and was pulled into the light.
*FLASH*
Mabiko: The blade's story does not end here. The next jump will finish the story of the blades...
Mabiko took a look around. Zaphira looked like he was about to suffocate from all the hugging he's getting. Then a chill ran down her back as she found that Hayate's hands were poised to strike.
Mabiko: ...You're serious, aren't you, Hayate?
Hayate: ...You mean this?
*Grab*
Mabiko: Ah! Not so hard, Hayate...nnnn...ah...must...satisfy...ahn...
Hayate: ...Oh dear...looks like the story will have to wait an hour...
Nanoha: Hayate-chan, don't you think that was a bit...overdoing it?
Fate: I guess we should head out and wait for her to finish her business then.
Shari: What do we do about the girls?
Hayate: They're sound asleep. Leave them be.
Reinforce Zwei: Let's go find Vita and Signum.
The girls all filed out and locked the door behind them...leaving poor Zaphira trapped in Mabiko's room...
...Okay, maybe I should start jacking up my viewer rating to Teen-17 or R.

Okay, wiseasses, who activated the weather control? It's still under maintenance, dammit!

Errm... great work, KBT. Nice transition to the Mai-HiME world.. though, there probably should have been more interactions between Mabiko-chan and Midori. I'd imagine that she's been wearing a cute animal-ear hat like Shigure Ama, to hide her features.
And an important note: if you're going to attempt to make an omake chapter depicting what happens between Part 3 and Part 4... I suggest making it an R-18.

Kyou wa saigo no hi ka? Kimi no naka ni mada itaiyo!
Sonna omoi sae mo Kieteshimauno...
Hayate!!!
Jack it up to R-18, KBT.
Otherwise, it was interesting to see that Mabiko was doing a Guilliam and dimension-hopping quite a lot in the past.
And, poor Zafira. (or should I say lucky?)
@Chaos: Wel well well, look what the ferret dragged in. Welcome, make yourself at home. Oh, and watch the backlogs, nasty little buggers.
@Nightengale: Look's like Chrono severely underestimated Yuuno's work.
@Lowe: That... oh dear lord.... that is so incredibly cute. Kha, I think you're going get frequent visits from Keroko when this ship launches.
Oh, and I finished the A's summary! took me till 4 A.M., but it's finished. Hehehe... not sure if I'm totally awake right now. Maybe a bad plan to do this in one night.
Anyway, this summary took a while to finish, mainly because it required me to watch A's, write, rewatch A's, rewrite where necissary. It's so easy to make a decision that alters canon. For example, during the first fight with the Wolkenritter I had Chrono save Keroko, only to realize that the group never really saw Shamal, which means Chrono never got to see the Yami no Sho. Now, of course this could be solved with some plot device, but it would needlesly alter canon. Just a small part of the crisis I was facing when writing this.
Anyway, down to the main part. I may or may not rewrite parts of this (considering the ending was writen when the sun started getting up again, some parts may need to ).
Spoiler for Nanoha A's, Keroko's tale:
Nanoha A’s
Six months have passed since the Jewel Seed case, during which Nanoha and Keroko have been steadily practicing their skills. While Nanoha opted for a better control, more power, better defense approach, Keroko decided to train in better more shots, better dodging. She trained her control, and practiced high-speed maneuvers and increased her reflexive abilities. Keroko had also settled into life as a Takamachi. All in all, life was good.
Then one night, a barrier enveloped the city, and two magic presences were detected. Nanoha and Keroko decided to split up, each going to meet the source of the presences head on. Nanoha quickly encountered a red haired hammer wielding girl and engaged combat. Keroko was almost hit by a blue sphere of lightning from behind, and was saved only by her honed reflexes. The attacker turns out to be an armor clad girl in her teenage years, wielding a long glaive. Keroko asks her identity, to which the girl responds with by attacking again, this time using a cartridge system. Combat ensues as Keroko desperately tries to dodge all of the girl’s attacks, even resorting to blasting down the bullets with shots of her own. Unfortunately, it takes three of Keroko’s own shots to down one of the girl’s, and eventually the hits start raining on Keroko. Just when things are looking grim, Arf intervenes. She tells Keroko that Fate and Yuuno went to Nanoha, and that they should regroup.
They return to find Fate locked in combat with a sword wielding mage, and Arf quickly gets attacked by a wolf familiar. Yuuno arrives to combat the red haired hammer wielder and Keroko resumes her dogfight with the blue haired glaive wielder. As Nanoha informs the team on the idea of breaking the barrier with a Starlight Breaker, Keroko intensifies her assault. The blue haired girl’s defensive field, however, seems impervious to damage, and her attacks break through Keroko’s defenses easily, resulting in heavy damage to Artherion. The girl however, is impressed with Keroko’s ability to dodge most of her attacks, and introduces herself as Tesla, and her glaive Gungnir. She then asks for her name. Keroko gives hers, as well as Artherion’s.
When Nanoha is ready to fire the Starlight Breaker, a hand seemingly grabs through her chest. Fate and Keroko try to help her, but are stopped by their respective opponents. Eventually Nanoha manages to fire the attack, breaking the barrier and forcing the Wolkenritter to retreat. Aboard the Asura, Keroko joins Yuuno while Nanoha is healing. Besides Nanoha, she is also worried what effect Artherion’s damage may have on her seal. Yuuno however, assures her that nothing is wrong, as the seal has integrated itself with her Linker Core. When Nanoha arrives, something slightly more resembling a ‘happy reunion’ can start.
Shortly afterwards, Nanoha, Fate and Keroko are summoned to Admiral Graham. Graham asks Keroko if she is aware of the powers sealed within her Linker Core, and the threat they might posses. Keroko assures Graham that she probably knows more then anyone the evil that the dark energies within her contain. Graham asks her that should she gain access to that power, what she would do with it. Keroko answers that she would use it to protect her friends, regardless of the risks. Graham laughs, and mentions that the rumors circulating trough the Aspect mages stationed where true. When asks, he only says: The mages of the black aspect are rising again. Keroko asks if there are more, but Graham tells her that she is the only one, but also explains that according to the Aspect mages, there has not been a black aspect mage for millennia.
In Hayate’s house, Signum mentions to Zafira how Fate’s swordsmanship was refined enough to cut through her armor, and that if it wasn’t for the difference between their weapons, it could have been a hard fight. Tesla appears from the stairs, and agrees. Mentioning that Keroko’s agility and reflexes caused her to switch plans very rapidly, making her an extremely dangerous opponent in the air, and that her armor and more powerful shots were the only thing giving her domination in the fight. Zafira mentions that even then, they would not lose. Signum agrees, and so does Tesla, but not before mentioning that they might have to stop holding back by that point.
Meanwhile, Nanoha, Fate and Keroko are resting and living normal school lives, though they still continue to train. When they discuss their battles during the evening, Fate comments that she couldn’t feel any evil intent from the purple haired swordsman she fought. Keroko adds that she could only feel a sense of challenge from her opponent, and relates it as finding someone who can give you a challenge with your favorite game. Nanoha wonders if it would be possible to simply discuss things, but Fate reminds her how she was when they first met. Fate and Keroko then tell how it was Nanoha that dragged them both out of the downward spiral their lives were taking, which Nanoha tries to deny. The trio makes a promise to get stronger together, to make their words reach them.
A few days later, Nanoha and the devices have made a full recovery, and not a minute to soon. A group of TSAB personnel managed to capture Vita and Zafira in a barrier, Chrono tries to take them on but the Velka knights prove too powerful. Fortunately, Nanoha, Fate and Keroko could be brought to the scene quickly. After trying to activate their devices, an operating check starts. Amy explains that the devices asked for new systems to be installed, and tells them to call out their new names. The trio quickly realize their new names. Raising Heart Excelion, Bardiche Assault and Artherion Devastator.
Now evenly armed and outnumbering their enemy, they try to negotiate, an effort that is thrown in their face, and interrupted by the arrival of Signum and Tesla, who broke through the barrier from the outside. Everyone launches after their respective target, and combat of all types starts. Heavy ordinance attacks slam between Nanoha and Vita, Fate and Signum are locked in a battle of blades, Arf and Zafira fight fist against fist while Tesla and Keroko soar through the skies in a dogfight that puts wits against reflexes. With their strengthened devices, the battles seem even sided. Keroko’s strengthened blasts are now able to take down anything that she cannot dodge, and because of her greater volume of attacks she overwhelms the slightly more sluggish Tesla, who has to respond with precisely planned movements.
Just as Chrono is about to arrest Shamal, and put an end to this battle, an unknown enemy interferes. This gave Shamal enough time to use a spell from the Yami no Sho, destroying the barrier, and allowing the Wolkenritter to escape.
Back at Fate’s home, Amy explains the new properties of the devices, and in case of the Takamachi’s the risk involved. She tells Keroko that, while Artherion Devastator’s Ethereal Mode should allow her access to the dark energies sealed within her, since there was no prior testing they have no idea what kind of effect it would have on the body, so she advices not to use it for the moment.
A few days later the trio is resting at Fate’s home, having just bought Fate a new cell phone. When the try to help Fate in the kitchen, however, the alarm goes off, and while it initially looked only Fate and Arf needed to be dispatched, the appearance of Vita and Tesla caused Nanoha and Keroko to fly out as well. Keroko quickly engages Tesla in the air, using her superior firepower to overwhelm Tesla. Tesla, however, realizes that though Keroko’s offence is terrifying, her defense mainly consists of dodging what she throws at her. A few well placed, highly accurate attacks force Keroko on the defensive, and Tesla notices that Keroko’s offensive abilities while protecting herself with barriers are pretty much zero. This levels the battlefield once more as the two now both have found each other’s weaknesses, and are fully intend on exploiting them. However, the timely interference of the masked enemy forces Keroko to abandon the battle to help Fate. She arrives too late, unfortunately.
Onboard the Asura everyone is relieved to hear Fate is all right and they get down to the hacking attempt. Keroko comments that from what she had learned from her old friends, the only way someone would be able to gain access to secure areas so easily would be that they are intimately familiar with the place. Nobody likes the idea, but Lindy notes that they should not exclude it either. With that notion, Nanoha and Keroko are dropped back home.
Shortly after being dropped home, another attack is detected on a lush forest world. Keroko, who was the only one available at the moment, moved to engage the Wolkenritter, who turned out to be Tesla. Still familiar with each other’s weaknesses, the two engage in combat. Onboard the Asura, the very same hacking attempt that shut down the systems is tried once more. Amy’s attempt to defend the system is slightly more successful this time, giving them video feeds of the battle. On the battlefield, the fight seems to be going even up. But just like last time, at the moment the two enemies are about to clash once more, a hand slams through the front of Keroko’s chest. The masked man appears once more, and invites Tesla to take it. Tesla is waging an internal struggle whether to take it or not, but her concern for Hayate makes her final decision.
As Keroko’s linker core starts to shrink however, Keroko moves her hands to grab the intruding arms of the masked man. The masked man looks down, and Keroko whispers some words that manage to startle the masked man, as he looks at the girl’s Linker Core, where blots of black can now be seen interwoven with the red of her core. The masked man tries to withdraw his arm, but the firm grip of Keroko’s hands prevents him from doing so.
Then all hell breaks lose, as the black of her Linker Core flares to life and lashes out of the core in a huge pillar of black flames. The masked man desperately tries to break the now inhuman strength of Keroko, while the flames that flow from the girls Core burn through the fabric of his cloth. Finally, he manages to rip free, and stares as the black flames converge on the girl, forming two dark burning dragon wings. Keroko’s eyes are now slitted glowing red orbs of magma. With a loud roar she crashes into the masked man, and begins to trash her opponents in a berserker rage.
Tesla quickly realizes that wielding a power of this magnitude without safeguards cannot do anything but damage the body, but she has no way of stopping the girl. The masked man takes the first opportunity he has to flee, leaving Tesla to face a berserking girl herself. Fortunately for Tesla, Nanoha chooses this moment to arrive, her voice managing to get through the berserking girl, who then forces the black flames back into her Linker Core. Though with the heavy damage to Core has taken, Keroko is in constant pain from trying to suppress the dark energies from resurfacing. Tesla puts a small seal onto it, claiming that it should hold until proper aid can be given.
Back onboard the Asura, Lindy informs the others Keroko has been stabilized. She also tells them that though the damage to the Linker Core was smaller when compared to Nanoha or Fate, the damage the dark energies caused to Keroko’s body even for such a short while will cause her to be out of the battle for at least as long as Fate. When Fate and Keroko are finally released a few days later, Fate feels uncomfortable without her magic and Keroko still feels burning pain every now and then. Still, the two press on, and when the suggestion comes to visit Hayate in the hospital, the two accept without hesitation.
Then came Christmas, the group decided a surprise visit to Hayate in the hospital. When they get there they are more then surprised to encounter Signum, Tesla, Shamal and Vita. Keroko tries to diffuse the situation by pretending to have met Tesla at the arcade, and with Tesla joining in, the mood is somewhat saved.
After the party, the trio met the Velkan Knights on the roof. They try once more to negotiate with the Knights, and once more they fail. Much time for combat, however, is not there as Nanoha and Keroko are captured by a bind spell moments after starting the battle. Fate quickly exposes the masked man hiding under a stealth spell, however it turns out he is not alone, and pretty soon everyone including the Knights are captured. The masked men then proceed to drain the Knights in order to complete the book, and trick Hayate into believing that it was the trio that did it. By the time they break the barrier keeping them capture, it is too late.
As Hayate, now transformed into a dark incarnation of the Yami no Sho, starts to fight, it is clear that the trio is grossly outgunned. For every move they make, Yami no Sho has a counter. When she starts casting Starlight Breaker, Keroko notes that now may be a good time to get the hell out here. While Fate grabs Nanoha, and Keroko uses Hyperdrive, Bardiche notifies them of non-combatants on the field. Those non-combatants turn out to be Arrisa and Suzuka. Now with friends in the line of fire, the trio have no choice but to stand their ground. After having survived the blast, and having teleported their friends to safety, Nanoha starts to worry that they’ve seen them like this. Keroko reminds her they’re safe now, and they’ll have to explain later.
As Chrono tells the trio to get Hayate to stop fighting, the trio once more tries to negotiate. Their reply comes in the form of a giant worm-beast with tentacles that ensnare Nanoha, Fate and Keroko. As they break free they try to convince her that she has a heart too, ask her to release Hayate and stop attacking. Yami no Sho denies this, and absorbs an attacking Fate, trapping her into an illusionary realm.
As Yami no Sho states that Fate and Hayate will never wake up, Keroko gets more and more ticked off. She stops negotiating and states that if Yami no Sho does not release Fate and Hayate right now, she will not hold back and come at her with everything she has. Yami no Sho asks what she can hope to accomplish, to which Keroko allows a black aura to surround her body and answers “Do you think you’re the only one with a cursed power?”
Nanoha, realizing what Keroko is planning, tries to stop her. Keroko tells Nanoha to trust her, and activates Ethereal Mode. The result is a perfect transformation into Ethereal Form. Amy’s readings show the filter working at 100 percent, Keroko now has a stable access to the dark powers sealed inside her. She immediately uses them to assault Yami no Sho head on, and actually manages to drive her back. The battle looks like a clash of titans, but unlike Yami no Sho, who is a greater power, Keroko only has a small fraction of a greater power sealed inside her. The battle slowly begins to turn in Yami no SHo’s favour, Yami no Sho tells her to stop this useless struggle, but Keroko persists that Yami no Sho will not get rid of her that easily. In the end, she gets blasted into a building by her own Executor Rush, and doesn’t come back out.
With Nanoha now the last line of defense, things are looking grim. Even more so when she is about to be hit by hundreds of Photon Lancers. When the projectiles are sailing towards Nanoha, though, a small red sphere of energy darts outwards from a cracked building, and explodes in the center of the Photon swarm, taking out all the projectiles in a ring of energy. As Nanoha turns to the source, she sees a heavily battered, but smiling Keroko breathing heavily telling Yami no Sho that she told her that she wouldn’t get rid of her that easily.
Now that Nanoha has a clear field of fire, she activates Excelion mode and gives Yami no Sho hell. Though seemingly without effects, the two soon get a mental message from Hayate, which Yuuno simplifies in ‘hit her as hard as you can’. While Nanoha loads a Force Burst, and Keroko prepares to hit her with an Orbital Bombardment of epical proportions, Fate destroys her prison from the inside. The combined magical powers release Fate and Hayate, who immediately recreates her knights. A happy reunion follows, only interrupted by Chrono, the herald of doom. They still need to finish off the defensive program, and after a short session, the four girls come to the idea of zapping the thing in outer space.
The team takes turn in attacking, launching shot after shot, destroying barrier after barrier until they get to the source, after which Hayate stalls it with a petrification spell while Chrono freezes it. Now comes the big part, as Nanoha, Fate, Hayate and Keroko all fire their biggest and strongest attack on the program. A combination of Starlight Breaker, Plasma Zanber Breaker, Ragnarok Breaker and Ion Cannon Breaker pound into the program, allowing Shamal, Yuuno and Arf to capture the main core and transfer it into the path of the Arc-en-Siel, obliterating it with a final shot.
And just when all seemed over, Hayate collapses. They rush her to the Asura, where she is guarded by her knights. In the mess, Chrono tells them that the damage is to Hayate severe, and that Reinforce will regenerate a new defensive program soon which will go berserk again and has requested to be destroyed before it is too late. The trio wonders what will happen to the knights, and are reassured by their message that they will stay.
When they arrive at the place Reinforce requested, Nanoha, Fate and Keroko try to argue with Reinforce whether this is the right choice, to which Reinforce answers that they would someday understand what it means to protect someone’s happiness. Keroko asks if she is truly sure of her decision, which Reinforce answers with a smile, and says that she is just as sure now as Keroko was when she risked her life to activate her Ethereal Form, knowing full well it might have killed her. Keroko admits her defeat and the trio take their places in the circle. When Hayate shows up, she is not liking the situation one bit, and tries to stop her. Reinforce manages to calm her down somewhat, and allowed herself to be erased.
On the way home, Nanoha feels sad. Keroko explains to her that she is feeling a sense of loss, despite the fact that she hardly knew Reinforce and Fate says that such cases are always like that. She tells them that she wants to help people in situations such as herself, and asks what Nanoha and Keroko have planned. Nanoha says she wants to teach others, and Keroko says she doesn’t really care, as long as she gets to fly. And if there are more people to fly with, the better it is.
Later, while visiting the hospital, Keroko meets up with Tesla. Tesla notes that they never really went to that arcade Keroko mentioned. Keroko promises that they’ll go there somewhere this week, but also mentions that arcade games got nothing on a good shooter or RTS. Tesla makes a jab at whether Keroko can think long enough to even play an RTS, to which Keroko immediately comes with a date, time and game to see if Tesla has the actions to back up the mouth.
During the evening, the family sat down and Nanoha, Keroko and Fate with the help of Lindy explained everything from the beginning to now, and the actions they were planning to take in the future.

Next stop: Tesla's profile, and after that some dramatic and fluff stories centered around Keroko.
It fits nicely into the cannon story! Good job Keroko!
Tesla and her glaive fit nicely with the rest of the knights as well
@Chaos: Wel well well, look what the ferret dragged in.
Just as Chrono is about to arrest Signum, and put an end to this battle, an unknown enemy interferes.

When Fate and Keroko are finally released a few days later, Fate feels uncomfortable without her magic and Keroko still feels burning pain every now and then. Then came Christmas, the group decided a surprise visit to Hayate in the hospital. When they get there they are more then surprised to encounter Signum, Tesla, Shamal and Vita. WIN!!! It's amazing on how you integrated her to the story. And the unlcked Neltharion power parts were epic! And, Tesla's a gamer?
The only mistake was the part about Chrono almost arresting Shamal. You wrote Signum instead. Good job!
okay, what was Hayate doing? And what were those voices Mabiko were making?
Otherwise, great mini-chapter
Spoiler for R-18 level info:
Mabiko has very sensitive F-Cup breasts. A mere touch can set her off, much less a whole hand grab. The problem is, she can't climax easily, so it's rather hellish for her. Thus why Hayate uses this as a perfect blackmail tool against Mabiko.

Poor Zafira's too busy trying to breathe, I think. The girls are very clingy.
Also, at this moment, I'd say Mabiko is around 10 years old in the story.

IV: a very good day, Mister Kokurabuji. Hikki: just call me Hikki. IV: oh, alright, Mister... Hikki. How do you feel about your life as a TSAB officer? Hikki: *sighs* to tell you the truth, I don't really feel comfortable working with bureaucrats and be tied to protocols. I prefer working as a freeman and following my own set of rules. Hikki: *silently blushes* I never said anything like that...................... Hayate: I knew it! I'm so gonna tell Nanoha-chan that you secretly like her! Hikki: DO NOT WANT!
*Hikki charges at Fate & Hataye. What initially starts as a violent duel turn into a cheerful test of strength as they playfully engage in mock battle* IV: I better leave before things turn worse-- oh, wait. Forgot to turn on the camera.
More to come!

On a tangent, I'd like to mention that according to Chrono in the first season of MSLN, two things are impossible for magic: to bring the deceased back to life, and to go back in time. Not "forbidden" or "very hard", but "cannot be done".
How one interprets this is up to them.
1: Interesting. The way you elaborate the explanation reminds me of Guilty Gear X2's PWAB's threat rating on the characters and their method of approach (as far as I can remember, Dizzy gets the highest rating on SS++ -- or something like that). I'd like to see how this matter is implemented in Nanoha Universe.
2: reminds me of when Palpatine baits Anakin into learning the Dark Force by saying that only Dark Force can save Padme.

Having followed her sister in the job of Combat Instructor, Keroko turned into a great trainer. She also trains advanced air mages with excellent result, and is currently the Training Officer of a promising squadron of mages.
Next stop: Tesla's profile, and after that some dramatic and fluff stories centered around Keroko.
Wow, that's massive. I always find it harder to work with an existing story than to create something from scratch. Must've cost a lot of effort. Great job, looking forward for the future stories.
*takes a note* How could Intelligence Department not take interest in Keroko? On the other hand they probably did, though the case wasn't handled by Section D. Got an idea of creating a list of relevance of the existing mages for the Department's inner use. That'll take some time

[Music- Last Moment- Yousei Teikoku- Mai Hime game Final Battle Insert Song]
Kanashiroi hikari ga sashikomu Onaji mezame wo kasaneta
Akai hikari ga owari wo Tsugeru ashita wa kuru no ka
The inferno of a dragon roared out of its sealing place into the sky, looking for its sacrifice.
Naze ni inochi wo ataeta? Nani wo nasu tame umareta?
Kami ni inori wo sasagete todoku negai wa nai no ni
Mabiko hovered into the air as the young beetle, Star Core, and Eisenfach began to rotate around her, surrounding her in a sky blue sphere that shattered to reveal Mabiko clothed in a special set of Valkyrie armor, composed of various childs that had fallen in the completion of the ritual.
Kuroi hane wo nobashi Yami ni mayou furenaide to
Ketsubetsu no itami mo tsutaenai mama
Wings of Tsukiyomi, Helm of Gakutenou, Breastplate of Julia, Gauntlets of Kiyohime, Greaves of Duran, Shoulderguards of Harry, and Skirt armor of Diana, Leggings of Metatron, everyone's memories, emotions, and feelings were all with her.
Nakushitakunai kioku wo Kureta kimi ni wa watashi wo
Wasurete nante gizen ne Nani wo negaeba iinoka...
Bracing herself, Mabiko took into the air in a direct collision course as Kagutsuchi breathed an inferno funnel in her direction, sensing the power that sealed him.
Tsugi ni me ga sameru no Kimi no inai tokoro kamo ne
Sora ne kaeru hi made Koe wo kikasete
Mabiko: Watshi no chikara wo kurau ga ii!!!(You may as well consume my power) This is for the sacrifices of all the rituals!
Kasureta koe agete Yonda kimi wa "ikanaide" to
Kimi ni furerareru no Atodorekurai?
Kyou wa saigo no hi ka? Kimi no naka ni mada itaiyo!
Sonna omoi sae mo Kieteshimauno...
The girls all filed out and locked the door behind them...leaving poor Zaphira trapped in Mabiko's room...
...Okay, maybe I should start jacking up my viewer rating to Teen-17 or R.
......
HAYATE!!!
(Stays silent in case stupid comment comes out. Don't want the "Hand of SOS" to be destroyed)
Surprising link to Mai-Hime here. I wonder where she goes next. I do hope the "interactions" in our thread title covers overtly extra-canon universii, though my defence would be that anything goes within a multiverse. After detonating the Bluecheesium myself, I'm just getting paranoid about the Scrin Modership.

6 years later
Takamachi G. Keroko
Private Seishou Auxiliary 3rd year middle schooler and Time-Space Administration Bureau special investigator.
It's rather AU because of the extra characters being there and yet not there. And while Keroko's existence could be hinted (as in, just off camera), I can't quite say the same for Tesla, honestly, being a tsukaima and all, such a disappearance would be rather intriguing...
Otherwise, it fits just well. Say if I do a StrikerS for Kha, mind if I add Keroko as well some times? Also, I might not drag Hikki in just yet, cos from his background I think Shin, Alex, Anna and him join somewhere mid serious? But I will add him for Nanoha O'sii Soundstage to be released in Kagami magazine this time.

This interviews are exclusively done by the Space Magazine, and this time they're interviewing Alexandra, Shin & Hikki.
(got inspired by these interviews of the ACEs somewhere in this thread )
Spoiler for yaay:
IV: good day, Miss Enfield. Alexandra: ...good day. IV: can you tell us anything about yourself? Alexandra: umm..... IV: come on. Don't be shy. We won't do you anything bad. Alexandra: well, actually I... *glances to her left and right* IV: yes? Anna: *suddenly jumps in* hey! what do you think you're doing to oneechan?! Miata, Vios, Meteor! Miata/Vios: Admis d'Odre.
several minutes later....
Alexandra: Anna, those people were interviewing me.... Anna: ....they were? *pokes IV's bodies* uh-oh.
=======================
IV: Mister Kazahana, may we ask on your view on your life as a Tactical Instructor? Shin: *scratches head* where do we start? Oh, yes, first and foremost, it is not as easy as you might think. IV: care to elaborate a bit, Mister Kazahana? Shin: to begin with---
Female recruits: *squeals* KYAAAAA! SHIN-SENSEI! SHIN-SENSEI! WE! LOVE! YOU! Shin: --and then-- Female officers: *waves to Shin* hi, Shin-chan! Shin: oh, hello, ladies. *waves back* Female officers: *giggle* Shin: --after that---
*enter the three ACEs* Nanoha: Shin-chan, can you do us a favour and meet us at the training field this evening? Fate: it's been a while since we last had a gathering, hadn't we? Hayate: don't forget to tell Hikki, Shin-chan! Shin: I will, I will.
*the three ACEs leave* Shin: --and to end our interview--
*Anna, Lutecia & Caro storm in* Anna: sensei! Leo-chan is being meanie again! Caro: sensei! Erio is being ignorant again! Lutecia: ...sensei.... I cut my finger... Shin: alright, alright. Why don't you wait at the outside? I'll catch up with you later. Anna/Caro: okay, sensei! Lutecia: ...alright. Shin: *turns to interviewer* so do you see now? IV: yes, now we get it. Yes.
========================
But it's really fun, actually. IV: that sounds quite interesting. Hikki: it is, especially since I'm entrusted to take care of young recruits-- *chortles* kind of reminds me of my family back at Kiev. Especially my twin daughters. IV: ah, so you're married. That's a surprise. Hikki: I know, and yet people still mistake me for being single. For the most of the time, I have to avoid visual contact-- IV: "visual contact"? Hikki: *nods* I have to learn invisible spell from my colleagues so that I can walk around unnoticed by the females. Yes, each and every female personnel in the TSAB tends to approach me and ask me for a date. Hello? My wife will kill me if she ever learns the truth. IV: but we were informed that you're having affair with Officer Nanoha, and rumours have it-- Hikki: *suddenly tosses Reppuken at bush. Fate & Hayate expose their cover and deflect the projectile* I knew both of you were prying upon us... IV: did I just say something? Fate: *laughs silly* but you even said you wanted to become Nanoha-chan's close friend! Hayate: and we even got physical evidence to prove that! *shows a Digicam in her hand* don't say we didn't know anything!
I thought Space magazine was a serious periodical. Hikki reactions noted. Nice!
It fits nicely into the cannon story! Good job Keroko!
Tesla and her glaive fit nicely with the rest of the knights as well
Good Job!!
Thank you, for some reason thinking up Tesla's Gungnir was a lot easier then thinking up Artherion.

Whoops! Fixed. That's what you get after nine hours of consecutive writing, in fact I remember confusing Reinforce and Keroko a couple of times in the end
I'll be writing a small story about the battle where Keroko went berserk somewhere soon. And yes, Tesla is a gamer. Well, actually, she just looks for things that can give her mind a challenge, and games happen to be one of them.

I think you're confusing me with Erio. The main reason I'm not around that much right now is because internet at home is broken. We hope to have it fixed today.

Well, yes, it's not that much different from what others are doing, I just choose to be a little more er... daring. Most people here seem to work only with StrikerS material, which left the first two season's open target for me. Though one of the main reasons I left canon intact as I did was to make sure that Keroko could still trundle along with this thread, which wouldn't be possible if I altered canon too badly. This is not as easy as it sounds, as it forces me to watch and write at the same time and gulps up time like a black hole (you're looking at around 20 hours of writing for A's alone).
Tesla was, well, a neccesity. I tried to write this story without her, but the result was either Keroko was taking over the spotlight and screwing over canon, or she was sitting on the side. Now, I don't mind Keroko having to sit out a battle (like I did with the Nanoha/Fate battle in season 1) but I do want her to have an actual role in the series, otherwise there would be no point in me writing it.
In the end, Tesla was a lot of fun to create. Making her different from Keroko, yet a fitting rival was another challenge.

Sure, go ahead. I'll be writing my own StrikerS too, and since Keroko has now caught up with the rest of the OC's, there will be a lot more interaction.
Here's Tais again. Time is after Shiro no Pantsu incident here Ginga got a letter from Subaru about a Ghost but before the offical memo got sent. Not well written at all.
Spoiler for Mistaken identity is embarrassing or an encounter with the Lieutenant Colonel:
~Log Number #290: Its so hard to get a date~
By Yui
Crap! Crap! Crap! How could something that seemed so simple turned out to be like this. Currently it seems Tais and I are really not going to survive this time. It started off with Tais getting into a fist fight with one of the men of 108th and getting called up to see Major Nakajima. Again.
*Play video file*
Genya: *sigh* Tais, what am I suppose to do with you. Ever since you got attached here, its been one thing after another.
Tais: Sir, I can expl.....
Genya: Quiet! So tell me, what is your excuse this time? And you better not say you got your butt pinched again. I don't want to remember that horrible time when you managed to charm most of the men (and some of the women) just by following Ginga around base and then shattering their fantasies with one brutal strike.
(Both men shudder at the thought of that DAY)
Tais: Sir, they are betting on the colour of Ginga-san's panties again.
Genya: Tais, you cannot go around beating people up just because they are talking about Ginga's panties. You should note down their names and report it to me. As her father, I'm suppose to give them the beating.
Tais: Oh, I'm sorry sir.
(Ginga knocks and enters the office. Seeing Tais, she sighs)
Ginga: Tais, this is what? the 7th time in 3 days you have been called in for disciplinary action?
Tais: Ginga-san, its not my fault this time. Wow, Ginga-san is so pretty.
Genya: Ahem, I'm incline to let he off easily this time as he was defending your honour. Seems like the men are betting on your panties again.
*End video file*
At this, Ginga turned rather red. From embarrassment or anger I can't tell, maybe both. The father-daughter pair discussed a variety of options on how to punish Tais this time but nothing seem to be a good solution. Then Ginga suggested something so crazy that I really thought it was a joke. Unfortunately, the major thought it was a good idea. Seems like they are sending Tais on a suicide mission... which is to infiltrate RF6 and drop a letter on the commanding officer's desk without being seen. I of course protested this decision on the grounds that Director Tsuzuki will not allow this and that attacking another base is not allowed unless sanctioned by the brass. Major Nakajima simply played 2 video clips.
*start clip 1*
Tsuzuki: ... while he's there, you have my full permission to do whatever you like with Tais. Oh don't worry about fatalities, Tais is a tough one, he's as resilient as the Earthian cockroach so very little chance of him dying anytime soon. In case he does kick the bucket, I got it covered.....
*End clip 1*
That was.... enlightening, although that moron Tais just assumed its a compliment. The second clip is basically a mission from the brass asking certain battalions to send 1-2 members to try to infiltrate RF6 to test their defenses. Although if the rumors were true, no one has taken on this mission. Looks like we're going to be the first.
On the day of the mission, we were driven to the outskirts of RF6 by Ginga who also briefed us on the mission.
*Start video file*
Ginga: Tais, your primary objective is as follows. When it gets dark, you are to row across the lake to the island where RF6 is. When you get there, hide the life raft and proceed by moving around the shadows to the administrative building. Once there, get into the CO's office who should be having dinner and drop the letter on her desk. From there, you can either escape or proceed to the secondary objective which is...
Yui: Wait! What secondary objective? There wasn't any mention of a secondary objective.
Ginga: Its something I added in. I hope Tais would agree to do it.
Tais: Any...
Yui: Tais, shut up and let me do the talking. So, Nakajima-san, what is the secondary objective?
Ginga: Here, read this.
(starts reading a letter from Subaru)
Yui: If I scanned this correctly, you want us to swing by the residential area on the way out and scaring your sister by appearing as the ghost she mentioned.
Ginga Yup.
Yui: Hate to break this to you, but Tais cannot keep his mouth shut and you don't have a way to make him look and sound like a girl now.
*End video file*
Me and my big mouth. It turns out that she had in fact, prepared a costume for Tais as well as a way to keep him quiet. When she was done, Tais looked like a mature version of the infamous Maser Sergent Rein but with some differences. Red eyes, long silver hair, large assets, black clothing with red trim and the hooded cloak and red facial markings. As for his talking problem, Ginga provided a choker which silenced Tais and made me his voice although she also made me change my voice patterns. It also gave us extremely short ranged linked telepathy so we can communicate with each other.
I wasn't too happy at this point but Tais was, since I managed to get Ginga to agree to go on a romantic date with Tais on their next day off. Once it got dark, we set off. After quite a few extremely narrow escapes dodging and hiding from the various personnel and sentries around the base. I seriously thought that we're dead when that red haired child and the pinked haired beauty stared in our direction. Luckily, they got distracted by Instructor Takamichi and we quickly moved on. Surprising, we managed to complete the first half of the primary objective. I have to thank the God Empress for favoring us tonight.
Secondary objective was also achieved successfully and easily with Tais stepping out of the shadows when the rookies came by after their shower. A pity they screamed so loudly since this was what stopped us from completing the mission. As we got round a corner towards the exit, we literally ran into the Aces.
Their reactions were not what we expected especially after that saw Tais's new look. Instructor Takamichi and Enforcer T. Harlaown had a look of total shock but Lieutenant Colonel Yagami had a look of disbelieve, shock and happiness?
Not knowing what to do, I instructed Tais to run for the exit. Here is where it starts getting complicated. LTC Yagami ordered Tais to stop and come towards her. Like the soldier he is, Tais obediently did as she said and stood before her. LTC Yagami hesitantly touched Tais as if not daring to believe the person before her is real. She looked into Tais's face and the idiot gave her a soft smile. Then the floodgates sprang opened and LTC Yagami, started hugging and sobbing into Tais's "chest".
*play audio file*
Hayate: Reinforce, you're back! You really are back! I thought you were gone forever! You came back to me! Reinforce, I'm so happy that you're back!
Tais: Reinforce? Who is that?
Yui: No idea.
Tais: Yui what should I do now?
Yui: I don't know.
(Sounds of running can be heard)
Signum: Mistress Hayate! We sensed your distress, what is ...
(Sounds of gasping)
Tais: Yui, its those 2 earlier and 2 others.
Yui: I know. I recognized them now. They are the Wolkenritter.
Tais: What should we do now Yui?
Yui: I wish I knew the answer myself
Wolkenritter: That's not possible...
Tais: Yui, do something.
Yui: Ok let me try this.
Yui: Hayate-sama, I'm...
Hayate: Reinforce! Reinforce! You really are Reinforce! You look and sound the same as I remembered you!
Yui: Hayate-sama, I'm...
Hayate: Mistress Hayate.
Yui: What?
Hayate: Call me Mistress Hayate like you used to Reinforce.
Yui: Hayate-sama, I'm trying to say ...
Hayate: I hate girls who won't do as they're told! I'm your Mistress! Listen to me!
Yui: Hayate-sama, I really ...
(sound someone getting punched)
Hayate: Bad children get the fist!
Yui: U-under-stood, Mistress Hayate
Nanoha: Haha... This brings back memories ne?
Rest: Haha...
Hayate: Reinforce, come with me.
Yui: Eh?
Hayate: Its late and you must be tired. You'll sleep with me in my bed tonight.
Tais: Yui!
Yui: I know, I'll try to talk her out of this.
Yui: Eh?! Mistress Hayate its okay. I'll sleep on the floor.
Hayate: You're going to do as you're told, is that understood?
Yui: H-hai.
Tais: Yui ...
Yui: I really tried but at can boast that you got to sleep with LTC Yagami.
Tais: Can you be serious, she's going to destroy me when she finally learns the truth.
Yui: There is nothing I can do to stop her. You might as well enjoy it if you're going to die. Wait, looks like you're lucky. It seems like the Wolkenritter are suspicious of you and are trying to stop LTC Yagami.
Tais: Really?
Yui: No, seems like they got convinced by her instead that you are really this person called Reinforce.
Tais: I'm doomed...
*end audio file*
Currently, its close to dawn and it looks like they are about to awaken soon. I wish I can take a picture of them since LTC Yagami lying on Tais with her head and hands on his's "chest" and master sergent Rein sleeping on the pillow above Tais's head presents a cute picture. I seriously don't know what is going to happen later when the truth is known. I can only pray that we will survive this. ~End log for now~
*hears a storm rumbling outside before grabbing the microphone.*
Okay, wiseasses, who activated the weather control? It's still under maintenance, dammit!
Kyou wa saigo no hi ka? Kimi no naka ni mada itaiyo!
Sonna omoi sae mo Kieteshimauno...
Applause for the well-described Mai-HIME X-over, excellent action scenes here
Although Hayate is... Mabiko is....
*wipes nose*
You just gave me an image I can't get out of my head

As a story by itself, it's quite an enjoyable read, and in fact they should've added Keroko's scenes in StrikerS (especially the unleashing of the Dark Energies... I wonder how the Lotte's reacted to that later ). And Tesla as a gamer? My... I know someone who'd like to challenge her
Rey: achoo...
On the other hand though, it still feels more lika an AU than something I could imagine happening in canon, even with the off-camera stuff, due to Tesla's appearance. The rest fit extremely well though, and definitely Grade-A material

=======================
Yes.
========================

So who else is Space Magazine going to cover without getting their asses handed to them? Shin REALLY is quite the ladies man (I never knew it was to THAT extent), and Hayate and Fate deliver massive owning as always! Moar please
