I think people overestimate the PS3 version as far as borderline content....I'd count 2 CGs out of the millions out there that can be interpreted that way.

I still think people are overestimating the PS3 version. Having played it all, I'd say that compared to the original one the implied/CG stuff doesn't go over 2% of the total game, if not less.

Watched a bit of the nico stream, I noticed Pwyll had the biggest overhaul in character design save Gaius. They also changed a bit the beginning compared to the game.

That means it'll be shown sometime past midnight on the 6th over here.

And though it's simulcast, it doesn't seem like there'll be any subtitles, unless Animax were provided with the raws themselves to prepare the subs with.

But I dunno, the premise just doesn't seem like my cup of tea. If they were to simulcast something like Fullmetal Alchemist, then I might consider watching. (Though I know Animax will be doing a delayed broadcast of FMA just a few days after its airing in Japan. )

Maybe I'll just watch the first ep just so I can brag about how I've watched it before all you goons outside Asia.

They didn't replicate Riannon's monologue from the beginning so I'm glad already 8P
Also the game starts in the same slow way, then builds up pace.

The nico feed is low quality so don't expect too much, it'll be better for the regular or HD (if any) broadcast.

The cut alot of dialouge, but they had too, the game was heavy on it lol.

Just to comment on the Animax simulcast, I stand corrected, there is indeed subtitles, but it seems like hastily translated, though nothing too bad.

I'm only here to talk about the simulcast, and as expected, the story isn't really my cup of tea, so I'll let other people talk about what they think of the first episode.

The subtitle is borderline bearable.
They left me to wonder what would happen of me if I know no Japanese at all.

Also, no idea about others, but I get a very bad audio quality here.
Enough whining, I'll see what they'll do with FMA.

Judging from the OP, Arawn is going to be friendly with the male lead?

They're going to share the story, that's all I can say without giving spoilers. The PC game was different I think, but since this one follows the PS3 game...

I just recently saw the 1st episode on Animax Malaysia (hence Malay subtitles) and despite what some said, it wasn't too dark to watch and i can see things very well and the sound was okay. The animation was great, the fights fast-pace and bloody and the story at the end of the episode was a little cliche but i still like it. I going to watch the series and see how it goes.

PS. The Malay subs were good except they did they change Demon King(Raja Syatain) to Ghost King(Raja Hantu). Ghost King is kinda of a silly name but who am i to complain. As long the translation accurate, i wouldn't a mind a tiny change.

Yes, badass, but not exactly a bad guy. He's the main lead in the story, but this being an "oudou" (path to kinghood) title means Arthur will play a key role in the story as well.

Anime appears more serious than the PS3 game, so far, at least.

It is possible that it will get more interesting, but unlike Pandora Hearts, the first episode itself wasn't all that attractive either. For one thing, the video quality was low, so whenever it got dark, you could barely see anything. Another, the whole episode from beginning to end was very cliched. But even cliched animes can be interesting, but this one fails to be... I was almost amazed that half of the episode was already spent with the old man and the girl with the big hat just talking... The second half has some action, but it is hard to say any of the scenes had any impact. The art and visuals are so-so, I guess. OP... visually, I'd say it looks like a Tales OP, but what was that apple... Laughed at that. The song was by Suara, but at this point, can't really say I like it that much. ED was decently good. Because from what i saw, the way she acted and her eyes suggest she is but then i could be wrong. __________________
