Too bad the beginning sequence was just a dream. I wanted to see more older versions of Satoko and Rika! (But I guess the new Hinamizawa Bus Stop manga will let me see that...) I like that Tamura Yukari didn't use her hideously deep Frederica voice for adult version Rika. :P

I don't have much to say. For some reason the animation quality seems lower in this episode than the first episode- but that might be because this was a low-quality stream I watched. I enjoyed the second half of the episode the most. It was very entertaining to watch all the characters acting so creepily. Rika's outbursts are pretty adorable (ie. after her transformation and realizing she's still a child)... you don't really see her acting that way that often. I think they had Hanyuu use the "-hanyuu" endings to make herself sound more like some cute adviser creature from a typical magical girl anime.

The ending song with Satoko and Rika sounds a little... odd. They sounded good together in the OP and insert song 100% Magical Star... but this song just does not work very well for the two of them.

I'm a bit bored of the hot springs fanservice

... their expressions still look cute though. I love the phone card image (second one).

I hope there's an art book or Kira summary book (they usually include the artwork), too.

By the way, did anyone catch Satoko's magical girl name? Was it ... "Trapster Satoko"? And what is the proper name of this arc? I see two different translations floating around: Ayakashisenshi-hen or Yousenshi-hen?

SithAlchemist, a friend of mine from Janime, is actually think they'll show actual nudity in these new OVAs, the upper section that is, and based on the first 2 I've seen, Kira that is, and on the products they're advertising on the thread, yeah, they're only huge teases.

Am i mistaken but i think Akasaka is already married...right (he had a daughter, his wife died)? despite that Rika will be a lolicon if she marry Akasaka... (='_'=) this will be another weird fanservice episode of higurashi...

Actually, there's no Akasaka and fanservice (I don't count Rena's scene) in episode 2.

Found this while browsing around. Looks like the tapestry on Gamers that they didn't put on the official site. (I'm really hoping they release an art book or summary book with an illustrations page...)

There's older Rika and Satoko on the limited edition disc. (I want a bigger version of that image. |D)

Just watched ep2 and am thanking god that Im not taking this as a canon season and know its just for shits... things that made me laugh off the top of my head were that Satoko is a magical trap O.o, 07th explosion and the projectile ohagi needles rofl

Now I need to get a mop cuz I moegasmed all over the floor whenever Hanyuu spoke
