Screenwriter is apparently Haruka Fujita....for any KyoAni followers who may be familiar with her. Composition is Yoshida Reiko. I personally am not familiar with them....ring any bells?

Composition means head writer. And Yoshida also wrote K-ON.

Reiko Yoshida did Koe no Katachi, K-ON, Tamako Market

Outside of KyoAni
Bakuman, Girls und Panzer, Lu Over the Wall.

Ironically this show only bits of the incredibly good parts, I wanna see the reactions when the anti-climatic ones appear on screen ruining all the mood of the series, that's one of the huge flaws of this LN.

This is precisely my biggest fear, so much hype and expectations being built by Kyoani but the viewers can be disappointed with the final product, or maybe if the weakness of the LN became too evident in the anime.

i think as long as they adapt the episodic chapters well, while intermingling bits of her back story into it (whether they show pieces during the intro or as a post credits scene, i don't really care), culminating in the final few episodes being the actual chapters with the war, i'll be very happy with it. i don't think they should have been afraid to jump right into the story. but unfortunately they are, since they already have an exposition episode.
