Solid episode IMO, I like how everything is progressing so far
They're integrating classic MMO/online features into Build Fighters while still retaining the Build Fighters feel, good job Also nice basic setup like in the first series, in this case its: Get introduced to the hobby -> meet a strange person -> Get whupped/find a reason to fight -> Build up skills while meeting more characters/allies -> Form a Force with said people -> Participate in tourney. All the while hopefully developing the characters and finding out the mystery behind Sarah and these dark power-up things One thing I love too is that this series did the thing that the first season did right, and what Try did wrong: Introducing the rivals early on, it leads to a much better and naturally paced development. Who knows? Maybe Kujo will take our MC under his wing without him even knowing and train him Whats the ending song btw? I love peaceful yet happy ending songs like this one Next Episode: OH LOOK AT ALL THOSE P-BANDAI JEGANS Of course the rival shows up in a mask to hide his identity. Though in this VR world it actually works since everyone is cosplaying/have avatars Last edited by Skye629; 2018-04-10 at 06:28. |

huh, it never strikes me that Kyoya is the Char clone of this series like Tatsuya in BF, also funny enough him using the Age-2 in its Darkhound configuration when he goes undercover as in the Gundam AGE series itself is pointless as it reveals Asemu's real identity after him getting 'KIA' and becomes a pirate, especially to his own father Flit, well he built the damn thing, so.......

Sealing the Trans-Am seems like a good choice, not relying on it would mean Riku has to up both his builder and fighter skills.
I can't help but wonder if its a slight jab at 00S2 though, I mean once unlocked 00 Trans-Am was used in almost every episode. LOL at the champion moonlighting as the Char.

was Pretty good, I do like the idea that the rival got introduced early. The battle itself was interesting, although a major difference with the unknown girl with both Aila and Reiji is that they didn't feel the gundam model in that way (unless their plavsky stuff is amplified in the VR world)

I enjoyed it more than the first episode.
No trans-am abuse for now, good. Better for Riku to build up his skills first without relying on what is basically a super mode. If he had kept going like this, he would have hit a wall soon. It was obvious from the get-go that Sarah was not an ordinary person, and now we know she can feel what Gunplas are feeling.

Pretty good episode this time. Big Ogre look like good rival, I will even forgive him using gundam based MS. In other hand I never really liked these "mysterios waifs" archetypes, I don't like her this time either.
I wonder how will mc fight with all these Trans-Ams or butterflies opponents without cheating himself.

This was an improvement over the first episode. We got a future rival, and Riku is going to take the path of developing his own skills, so we don't have to worry about trans-am abuse for now.

I could only speculate that Magee doesn't stay too long once Riku and co. leaves the lobby. I can also push it that as for two episodes, we only see Magee meeting up with them and not the other way around. Also that moment in ep. 1 where Nanami is already near them when they logged out.

Notable improvement in this episode. The Trans-Am fight scene was short, but sweet.
Also, with the characters "summoning" their Gunpla around them out of nowhere, plus the fact that the main characters' clothes look right out of a fantasy JRPG, I'm kind of reminded of the PS3 game White Knight Chronicles. |
