Kamiyama is directing and writing the anime, and he said last November that the anime is a "socially conscious youth crime adventure story."

Edit: nevermind, it's Craftar. Why does Kamiyama do this to himself? What a waste of his talent.

Kamiyama was utterly on fire in the 2000s. Then things got weird in the 2010s...

As for CGI - Unless you have a budget of Arcane's level and timeframe, why bother?

Btw, isn't this a film and not a series, from what I've read?

Technically its a televised special that run for 120 minutes.
