I liked Tomokazu Sugita as Shin, Wataru Takagi as Jagi and Fumihiko Tachiki as Raoh in the PS3 game. Bring those back.
Takehito Koyasu as Rei is pretty much a given.

Well, put me in a dress and call me Daisy. I certainly didn’t expect that. But I hope for a good adaptation (though it would be somewhat hard to pull out these days).
I still hope that Tetsuo Hara’s Hana no Keiji will get an anime one day. |

Please don't have shitty animation like Souten no Ken's first season.
Please don't be CGI like Souten no Ken's second season. HnK is one of my favorite manga of all time and I want it to get a really good adaptation.

Hmmm.... I'm not very optimistic about this. There's something very grounded about that old 80s look and feel for a show like this. It kinda revels in that grungy look to really give it a certain appeal, and I don't think that's something it can do today. But I hope to be proven wrong! Hell, I only got to watch it thanks to being on cable[Cinemax?] WAYY back when, and never got to finish it cause my mother changed work schedules and I couldn't get the tv back... not that anyone cared, but I felt like saying it anyway . I've never finished it, so if this adaptation turns out well, I'll get the chance to finish the story. BASTARD!! turned out okay(well, s1; havent seen s2 yet), so maybe this will too(though I'm leaning toward being disappointed, at least until I see a trailer).

The remake will be silly. The circulated rumor was the manga should end after final fight with Raoh, but the publisher forced mangaka to continue. When the series ended, there was the "second season". The mangaka had enough and started drawing silly. It caused the lose of readership. The publisher finally decided to cancel the series.
After read some manga review, I hope the remake can bring out the essence of manga. The manga stated out as 2 chapters pilot, in the essesonce of 1980 martial art movies. It is more closer to Soten no Ken. The editor suggested long serialization to mangaka. They also find the writer to rewrite the character type. The revised Kenshiro transformed form Bruse Lee to Mel Gibson(Mad Max) and Sylvester Stallone(Cobra). The antagonists are from 1980s actors and musicians. I also hope they keep Rin's portrayal closer to the manga and the 2000s "Gaiden" movies and OAVs. Because the 1980s animated adaptations went too hard on the angsty Rin to the point it could become ridiculous.

CGI is one of my worries, the other one is pacing. A proper, full adaptation with fast, but not rushed pacing still needs about 65-80 episodes to cover the entire manga. You just know that nowadays they would rather trim it down to 39-52 episodes.
