I'm aware that a Fairy Tail dub was on Dubbinz at one point, but it's not anymore.

And that was no Funimation dub. That was most likely the Animax Asia dub. And mind you, it is PAINFUL to hear. Few of the voices for that dub fit, and those who do fit sound like they've never received any professional training in voice acting before (no enunciation, sounding like they have a cold, stuff like that). And while it's not a bad translation, mind you, the delivery and inflections are off. To me, the only voices who sound remotely good are the ones who have French accents to those who need them. (They also gave Juvia, of all people, a French accent. And it somehow WORKS.)

All in all, the Animax Asia dub is not really worth listening to. Wait for the Funimation dub (and hope they use accents when needed).

Actually Immblue, I was helping Haegar look for the funimation Sekirei dub, the animax FT dub is horrendous beyond all reason. It's like what 4kids crapped out, and they used it as the cast.

Well, the Sekirei dub is not the Fairy Tail dub, if you forgive the stating of the obvious that risks me sounding like a douche (that's really not my intention, honest...)

Also, this info may have been around for a little while, but I believe Jamie Marchi tweeted the confirmation of her role as Cana.

It's fine, I was just helping Haegar, and you can say whatever you want, I'm not gonna whine about it^^. I hope we get a confirmation on who's gonna voice Gajeel. I have a feeling they'll pull a Dragonball and make Chris Sabat use a non-accent Vegeta voice for him-v-;;.

What about Travis Willingham, maybe pulling off his voice as Free from Soul Eater? Is he still available?

I was Laughing my ass off at how horrible it was for 18 episode but then I hit Episode 19 and I couldn't tell when people changed bodies so I gave up on that dub.

It's very small cast with a horrible range of voices, playing a very large number of characters. Hopefully everyone whom hasn't seen it yet sees the problem with this on episode 19 Changeling

Yeap... it was so horrible as to be a riot until it just got confusing on ep 19

It's just for the first twelve episodes, which I assume are going to be part of the first DVD release.

The only thing I find weird is how they don't list Taurus and Cancer.

If I may be allowed to make my predictions for two major character roles: Spoiler for Predictions: Brina Palencia as Juvia - A stoic and emotionless water woman who evolves into a cutesy yet unstable hapless romantic over the course of fifteen seconds? Brina's my first choice. My second choice would be Kate Oxley for no reason other than the fact that she had played another "rain woman" before (Ame-Warashi in xxxHoLic). Travis Willingham as Gajeel - I kind of thought his voice as Free the werewolf from Soul Eater would work for Gajeel. If not him, then my second choice would be J. Michael Tatum because his is the name that pops up in my head when I think of "gruff and intimidating guys" together with "Funimation". __________________ I'm not the boss.
