It's not! It's more like adopted siblings than love-interests! Teana's with the Lockon everyone knows, and not the character named "Lockon Stratos".

(And Neil gets the spot for being referenced twice, along with Archer. And most multiple references go to GAR characters, proving yet again, GAR bends reality. )

As for crack, I think welding is putting it lightly. There'll be a scene in Rebuilt that is replicated in other timelines where the pairing is Khophia that will reference that image.

Actually, the Marines would never show up much. They'd either get stuck grinding against Precia's bots (though IIRC that was an Enforcer SWAT team), or be non-issues in StrikerS, since Marines are under the Navy (being Naval Infantry and deployed from Navy ships) and Regius hates the Navy.

TSAB Enforcers do more investigation duties than Marines. Marines are Naval Infantry. They deploy from ships. The Enforcers seen in MSLN deploying to precia's stronghold are doing a SWAT-type entry (though admittedly boarding actions and entry sort of blur. Sort of). Marines are light infantry warfare specialists who kick ass and take names and don't investigate stuff. Fate is an Enforcer and she's not really kicking that much ass. She tries to arrest Deici and Quattro, for crying out loud!

Marines shoot to kill.

Basically, Enforcers are not Marines.

Yes, she's a Captain and Instructor. The way things pretty much work is that on Field Excercises and in training, Nanoha would be adressed as "Instructor Takamachi"; off excercise, it's "Captain Takamachi."

Seems to work that way, but I think more like it compresses mana and use it to strengthen specific attributes of the mage's body, causing a spike increase in said attributes.

I like how I title my notes I wrote "Arc-en-Ciel: Rune ideas/concepts" for the heading I even doodled at the top for Crea design and a idea for Rune's barrier jacket!

Passive trait ("Mana Absorption"): Rune's Linker Core has unusually low mana capacity and as such severely hinders Rune's magic potetial. However she has an exceedingly rare trait that causes her to be able to convert ambient mana into temperoary "containers" of mana for her use in place of her own. The "nodes" of collected mana manifest as roughly golfball sized silver spheres. Rune dubbed the nodes as "Dying Souls".

I haven't worked it out exactly yet but... I think essentially I'm going that she's always "collecting" mana but it is never converted until she uses the spell to trigger her trait.

I also have her Ichigo-inspired spell I even labeled it "Bankai-esque spell"

It's quite good.

Magical Field Manipulation:
One of Aurion's favorite abilities, he was able to obtain this ability after the Perfect Void Incident, due to exposure with the Lost Logia in question. His perception and level of control over the residual magic particles in his surroundings has been raised several bars higher than most mages, actually allowing him to ‘seize’ these forcefully even when some spells directed at him haven’t fully dispersed yet. Due to this, he is able to practically abuse some spells that need high levels of control, most notably his Poltergeist spell; which has been mastered to the extent that he can ‘telekinetically’ (actually using magic to make objects move) move objects with highly impressive control. He is also able to power some of his spells with external energy instead of those from his Linker Core. Casting most types of spells at any given point within the field is possible. To a limited extent, he is sometimes able to ‘steal’ low-power projectile spells from his opponents and use it against them (the first time he is shown to do this is when he stole some of Nanoha’s Axel Shooter units and used them against her). Oddly enough, his Linker Core is also not strained as much as it should be with such feats, but instead, his mind takes the strain the most with this ability. With prolonged use, he experiences harsh mental strain and severe migraines. On some occasions in the past, the overuse of this ability had caused him mental collapse, knocking him out for a long duration of time. The natural effective area of control is ten meters diameter around him, which can be extended to twenty meters with Almaria’s help.

As a comparison I've "built" Rune as a B+ rank mage.

Banaki-esque spell: Her "ace in the hole" that makes her powers increase immensely. Essentially a sort of "release" on her rare trait that both accelerates and improves it. Not only does mana collection and conversion improve but the mana is drawn into her as well improving her magically-enhanced physical power. During this "release" Rune has been rated as high S- but AAA is far more common. However if the "release" lasts longer then five minutes her body begins to break and she would likely last for up to eleven minutes. By then her body would likely stop functioning.

I think it might be a bit of a HUGE increase. Not to mention I have some spells floating around that are only available when the "release" is in effect...

One thing you can factor is time. Give her LOTS of time to charge all those energy between every use. That should help a bit.

The same one. Sophia technically is a character taken from Fate Stay Night then dumped into the Mai series and later I dragged her out and into the Nanohaverse.

And by doing so, I dragged her "senior" Natsuki into the thread as well. She makes a few cameos in the Rebuilt timeline, but most of the time will be devoted to the nameless Canoness of the Adeptae Belkarum who really is Maria from the Otome timeline as well.

Of course we don't need to watch either Fate Stay Night or Mai Otome to understand or enjoy Sophia.

For me it was at first sight, then that scene went and blew a hole in my head causing my brain to go running off through the gutter.

But the one who amp'd MOE for me was definitely Kotomi's arc. Somehow ever since CCS I loved the concept of childhood sweethearts. It reminded me of Kha and Alicia's love story too.

There’s a saying that great power comes with sad pasts. And without doubt, Fate’s young life has been riddled with heart-rending challenges as Destiny toyed with her again and again. She had been brought into the world thinking only of her mother, but was later betrayed by that very same person; she had found Precia’s diary, but was forced to choose a friend over the book that could lead her to her mother; despite saving the lives of many, she had to face death before she was 16 to gemi-stigma, and after that she struggled against the death of a loved one when everyone else was holding her back, fearing that Fate could turn into another Precia.

But unlike Precia, Fate was surrounded by friends. Nanoha brought her in from the cold; when she could not go on, Keroko pushed from behind; Hayate and her Knights protected her as much as she did them; Chrono, Amy, Lindy gave her the warmth of family; Aurion taught her that it was okay to laugh and cry when she had to; and in a way, Kha and Fate each gave the other the strength they needed.

On the field, Fate is a confident warrior, moving in and out of spellfire and gunfire alike without fear or hesitation, able to deliver precise and crippling attacks to enemy positions with her unparalleled speed and Lightning prowess.

But off the field, Fate is haunted by her troubled family history, and while she has a big heart for children who were in similar circumstances to her before, she is afraid that she isn’t good enough to be a guardian.

In due time, Fate, aided by Kha in the Grade Frame Exia, would rescue Erio and Hiro (then called Null) from an illegal super soldier facility before they were culled. Erio would be transferred to Lindy’s care, and Fate tried her best to care for the little boy, but that shadow of doubt continued to plague her.

Soon, Allison and Caro would join her family, and Fate’s burden grew…

About Bardiche...

Bardiche may seem reserved and stoic, cited by Arisa as the perfect cookie-cutter butler of old, but only few know another side to Bardiche. It seems that Bardiche has a hidden hotblooded side that came to light in only a few occasions, most remarkable being when he chose to sacrifice himself for Fate’s happiness. A barrier was keeping Fate from completing the Tome of Devotion and thus reviving Kha.

At first, he egged Fate on to take the shot, insisting that [there was nothing he could not cut]. Then, when both mage and device were being overwhelmed by the stubborn defense, he brazenly broke through by not only chewing through all 6 cartridges and routing all the extra power to his cracking blade against Fate’s will, but accompanied that with a loud roar of [CHESTOOO!!!]

That suicidal attempt smashed the barrier as much as the stress rendered Bardiche all but unserviceable. The gamble ultimately paid off, and Kha returned Bardiche intact, prompting the device to comment that [there’s still more fight left in this old man] before reverting to his normal self.

This event and the previous encounters that Fate had, including the discovery of a wedding photo of Precia and a tall gold-haired but unnamed man sealed in Bardiche’s ROM, led Aurion and the Aces to believe that Bardiche must’ve been programmed in Mr Testarossa’s image.

And considering that Kha learnt the Zamber sword from the masked Wodan Ymir, “Mr Testarossa” might be nearer to the Aces than they’d believe...

Rebuilt for StrikerS

Now, Fate is a 19-year-old commissioned officer of the TSAB. She lives on Earth in Uminari City with Lindy, who has retired from her position as Admiral, having had too much excitement and seeking a desk job. Fate has been going to school with Nanoha, Hayate, Suzuka, Alisa, and Sophia, and met many memorably whacky characters like the infamous Belkarengers. Her senior at Gakutenoh Academy Himawari Nissan left a lasting impression on Fate, and she aspires to be an all-rounded person like Hina.

She is now the head of the Lightning Squad, and an S+ mage without limiters, an AA mage with. Showing great concern for her squad, particularly Erio (she is his guardian) and Caro, a child that she took in when no one else would, Fate takes her position as leader very seriously. She also feels obliged to look out for Allie, who is a Forward of the Drake Squad led by Keroko despite the Takamachi sibling's teasing protests.

For the most of StrikerS, as Kha was busy managing Church affairs and coordinating interventions, Fate struggles with the double duty of leading her squad to battle and taking care of the children in her care, sometimes bothering with much more that there really was. It is through Fate that I will get a chance to explore with the thread the various issues that Asian working mothers have to face, especially with a husband that is never around due to work, and remain true to my promise of giving the story greater depth than before.

Powers

Fate's magical abilities developed at an astonishing rate, according to Linith. She learned electricity-based attacks faster than other magical types, something that her mother Precia also specialized in. At the age of seven, she had already mastered several abilities to the point of not requiring the incantations. Behind her tutor Linith's back, she also studied how to create and handle familiars, and Arf was the result. Her command phrase for her shooting abilities is "Fire!"

Fate specializes in mid-range and melee attacks, preferring speed to power and endurance. This was a result of the training that her mother demanded, which sacrificed the flexibility of a wide range of abilities for raw speed. After the events of Nanoha, she trained with Chrono to address the gaps in her initial training.

Transformation — Fate transforms Bardiche into Device Form and her Barrier Jacket is activated as well.

Arcus Cultus Aegeas — This is Fate's personal incantation for Bardiche. Generally she uses this to concentrate her energies, especially before unleashing a powerful attack.

Jewel Seed Seal — Used to seal the Jewel Seeds so they will not fuse with anything.

Lightning Bind — A powerful, but difficult to maintain, spell that prevents its target from moving.

Recovery — Fate can restore Bardiche in seconds, even after he is heavily damaged.

Redemption — A skill that can recover Bardiche from any state of damage as long as his consciousness is intact. This ability is spoken by Fate and is evidently taught to her by Kha, who has the Belkansh version of the spell.

Defensive Abilities

Barrier Jacket — Fate activates her defensive outfit. This armor was originally selected by Arf.

Lightning Form — This is similar to her original Barrier Jacket, with more protective power and some armor plates on her shoes and left glove.

Sonic Form — This lighter variation of Fate's Barrier Jacket dispenses with the cloak and instead puts Sonic Sails, Flier Fin-like wings on Fate's boots and arms, greatly increasing her movement speed.

Sonic Drive — Fate activates this variation of Sonic Form after breaking free from the Dream of Infinite Desire. Her speed and magic powers greatly increases in this form. Incantation to activate this form is "Jacket Purge!" followed by "Sonic Form, Overdrive!"

It is revealed in a pre-StrikerS arc that Sonic Drive was created from Sonic Form, as Fate tore up her fringe skirt to use as bandages for Kha during an intermittent bout against an Armor Slave on another Non-Administered World. Subsequently, Hayate made further adjustments for aethetic and strategic value, resulting in the lightweight and swimsuit-like Sonic Drive.

Impulse Form — The new Barrier Jacket variation seen in StrikerS, it sports a complete new design that holds little resemblance with any of the other variations seen until then. It’s design is akin to a “working attire”, able to be used both in the office and out in the field. Even though she does not show it, the extra cloth does weigh her down a lot as compared to her Sonic Drive form.

Blitz Action — Fate's movement speed is increased dramatically (if temporarily), to the point where human eyes cannot track her easily. In A's, this is upgraded to Sonic Move; in Sonic Form, she does not need to activate the ability.

Defenser — Bardiche's Auto-Guard magic. It can guard in every direction, but can be broken easily.

Defenser Plus — It is essentially a more powerful form of Defenser, and capable of being cast over a larger area to protect more than one person. This technique was refined by Kha as he is specialized in the creation of barriers and shields.

Bind Break — Attempts to deactivate a binding or imprisoning spell. The amount of time required to deactivate depends on the complexity of the target magic.

Jacket Purge — Fate "unravels" the magic power that comprises her Jacket, causing it to explode. This has significant attack power, and can disrupt binding magics. However, she is vulnerable for a few moments after purging the Jacket, and she requires magic power to recreate a new one. It is this command that begins the system's preparation for Sonic Drive.

Thunder Arm — A lightning defense on her left arm that attacks whoever strikes it with lightning unleashed from one of the orbs around her arm. After such an attack, an orb is consumed. Fate can create 5 orbs at once.

Dynamic Thunder — A variation of Thunder Arm that consumes all 5 orbs at once and launches an electrical impression of Fate’s arm up to the base of the elbow to act as a mid-ranged attack.

Offensive Abilities

Arc Saber — Fate's melee attack, consisting of a blade of light from the Bardiche in Scythe form. It is powerful enough to neutralize Nanoha's Divine Shooter missiles. The blade itself can be thrown, spinning it much like a shuriken.

Scythe Slash — A variation of the Arc Saber where the blade is enhanced in order to penetrate barrier-type magics such as Barrier Jackets.

Haken Saber — As Arc Saber, except with Bardiche Assault in Haken form.

Haken Slash

— The Scythe Slash-like variation of Fate's Haken Saber.

Plasma Blaster — Fate launches two beams of yellow plasma from the two orbs by her shoulders as a sword-cross countermeasure. As such, this skill can only be used in the heavier but better-equipped Impulse barrier jacket form.

Photon Lancer — Fate's basic ranged attack, fired from a small collection of energy called a "Photon Sphere". Fate's shots are faster, but unlike Nanoha's Divine Shooter, they are unguided. Because of their ease and speed of casting, Fate now uses them like Nanoha uses Divine Shooter as blindfire "Head Vulcan" attacks.

Photon Lancer Phalanx Shift — A variation of Photon Lancer (and Fate's most powerful attack in season 1), this spell amasses several large Photon Spheres and unleashes a storm of Photon Lancer shots on the target.

Plasma Lancer — A more powerful version of Photon Lancer, with increased attack power and the ability to turn at Fate's command should it miss.

Thunder Smasher — Fate's siege-type attack, analogous to Nanoha's Divine Buster.

Plasma Smasher — Thunder Smasher's upgrade, used when Bardiche Assault is in Assault Form.

Trident Smasher — The third upgraded magic of the Thunder Smasher line, three beams are shot simultaneously from the same firing-point, creating the illusion of a trident's blade.

Thunder Rage — Fate's multitarget attack, activated with Bardiche in Sealing Form. Together with Nanoha's Divine Buster, Fate used this to seal six Jewel Seeds at once.

Thunder Blade — An enhanced version of Thunder Rage, Fate focuses each attack into individual swords that can detonate on the command "Break!". Chrono Harlaown has a similar attack called Stinger Blade.

Blitz Rush — Fate can increase the speed of her magic missiles such as Plasma Lancer.

The Zamber: The Blade of Testarossa

This style of magical sword creation has been passed down over centuries, surviving even the selection pressure for ranged Midchilda schools of magic. The basic Zamber was programmed into Bardiche right from the start, but it was only when Bardiche was upgraded with the CVK system and Fate grew stronger that she was able to wield the family’s sword for the first time.

Ever since then, Fate has been working with what secrets she could unlock from within Bardiche, and with pointers from the mysterious Wodan Ymir, has been discovering old Zamber swords and creating new ones for herself.

Riot Zamber — Bardiche Assault in a sabre-like form, replacing the basic Zamber as Fate’s main Zamber sword. Riot Zamber is much sharper and has a more refined shine when compared to the basic Zamber, and is a testament of Fate’s mastery of the Zamber, much like Kha’s own Zamber variant, Gotteliches Zamber, or G-Zamber for short.


The following are attacks used with a Zamber blade.

Riot Slash - This strengthens Fate's swing, allowing her to deliver a clean slice through the midsection.

Riot Saber – Fate uses additional mana to enlarge the Riot Zamber into a larger katana-like blade. She then swings it, releasing what seems like a giant version of the ranged mode of Haken Saber.

Thunder Reversal – Fate performs a giant vertical strike from below the opponent and then performing a swift horizontal strike almost simultaneously, then finishes with a strike of lightning from above or from her hand for a good measure. This attack resembles Artei's Tsubame Gaeshi, but it is not know if Fate had consciously borrowed Artei's skill.

Sparkcleaver – Fate would perform a series of rapid slashes, before ending with a clean, vertical cut. It is Fate's variation of Saber's Mooncleaver attack.

The following changes the sword blade, and can be used with the above attacks.

Sprite Zamber — This sword is designed to destroy force fields, binding magics, and illusions. Fate, after transforming Bardiche Assault to Zamber form, uses this to break out of the Book of Darkness' prison.

Jet Zamber — Fate's ultimate melee attack, she first throws a shockwave at the target, then swings Bardiche Assault in Zamber form. The energy blade of the Zamber grows to many times its typical size, so Fate can slash through a target that would ordinarily be out of range. This is analogous to Vita’s Gigantform.

Plasma Zamber Breaker — Bardiche Assault in Zamber form unleashes a powerful energy blast with a cricket-type swing. Functions as an even longer-ranged particle assault bombardment.

Hurricane Zamber


An extremely powerful combination attack between Fate and her familiar Arf that uses almost all types of spells, from ritual magic to weather-control to mass-bombardment to binds.

Arf transform into her largest and most powerful form Dire Wolf, and lets Fate hitch a ride. Charging towards the enemy like a magical samurai on horseback, Fate then strikes with the Hurricane Zamber in various fashions and power levels depending on the coordinated mana burst delivered.

Cat One - a high-speed horizontal slash, then Fate cleaves the enemy vertically afterwards.

Cat Two - Hurricane Zamber spins very rapidly to generate a whirlwind that carries the bisected enemy mage up into the air before Fate adds a final horizontal slash upon the enemy.

Cat Three – This is where it starts getting ridiculous. Fate and Arf mount up on any conveniently available raised platform like a telephone phone or building or cliff with a sharp fall or just float in the air very much higher than the opponent amid torrents of rain and lightning. Arf then pushes off the raised point and charges down the raised platform, sometimes almost vertically, using gravity to gain additional momentum. Fate directs several lightning bolts to strike down and bind the enemy mage as they close, and once they do proceed with a cricket paddle swing knocking the mage off his/her feet then finishing with a horizontal slashing as they ride pass.

Cat Four – Fate and Arf mount up on any conveniently available raised platform like a telephone phone or building or cliff with a sharp fall or just float in the air very much higher than the opponent amid torrents of rain and lightning. Arf then pushes off the raised point and charges down the raised platform, sometimes almost vertically, using gravity to gain additional momentum. This variation pumps a lot of mana into Hurricane Zamber’s spin, creating a vortex that sucks the enemy mage towards the sky and be struck repeatedly by lightning as they charge at the target. And when then close with the target mid-air, Fate finishes the target off with a clean slice.

Cat Five – The most awesome, borderline-ridiculous and overwhelmingly powerful version of Hurricane Zamber. Using Kha’s Reality Marble idea, Fate projects a false reality that traps the target within a realm that obeys only her own rules. As such, there is always a high cliff shrouded in enormously violent lightning storms for her to mount on. Arf then pushes off the raised point and charges down the raised platform, sometimes almost vertically, using gravity to gain additional momentum. The reality created is that, as the enemy tries to run, lightning from above will repeatedly strike them no matter what they do, and no matter how they try to escape, Fate and Arf will always catch up. Fate then performs a flurry of slashes before leaping into the air after the hapless target, striking down with a clean vertical cut and stopping a safe distance away before the target explodes.

As cool as it sounds, this skill is so taxing that it is damaging to one‘s magical potential. However, due to the way the Master-Familiar mana link is established, Arf has a trick that causes only her Linker Core takes the bulk of the strain and leaving a manageable amount for Fate, leaving herself completely drained and near death when they used that attack once. As a familiar, Arf’s Linker Core and magical potential can recover eventually over a long period of time, but because of that taking such a big hit at once can kill her.

Even in StrikerS, 1 year after the incident, Arf is still in like power-saving form. And Fate has practically sworn off ever trying Cat 5 again.

Riot Zamber II


With Sonic Drive Form active, Bardiche Assault split into two Riot Zamber, much like how Kha can split Tausend Kreuz’s greatsword-like Kreuzfahrer form into two falchions. In fact, Fate thanks Kha for letting her borrow his idea after defeating Jail.

But unlike Kha, a magical string at the end of each hilt connects both of halves of the Zamber. This additional feature, while it restricts the throwing capacity of RZ2, proves to be very nifty. The string allows RZ2 to be used like sword-chucks, with Fate able to perform the mind-boggling nunchaku dance made famous by Bruce Lee. The enforcer demonstrates that the string can be set to cutting strength and blunt strength rapidly, as she used the string to damage Tre then grabbing the same portion with her bare hands to swing the two Zamber blades at Jail and Sette. The strings can also extend, allowing Fate to throw one half like a dart and retrieve the blade like a yoyo. And since it can extend, it can also retract fully, holding both Zambers end to end like a massive double-edged beam saber, allowing her to face off the combined attacks of Tre and Sette at once while avoiding Jail’s laser whips.

Fate can also combine both Riot Zamber halves to form an even bigger version, and split them at her command even with the blades embedded in solid material, causing it to be cleaved from within. Visually, the rejoined Riot Zamber II resembles the ZXO Sword from the Super Robot Wars series.

Impulse Form — The new Barrier Jacket variation seen in StrikerS, it sports a complete new design that holds little resemblance with any of the other variations seen until then. It’s design is akin to a “working attire”, able to be used both in the office and out in the field. Even though she does not show it, the extra cloth does weigh her down a lot as compared to her Sonic Drive form.

Blitz Action — Fate's movement speed is increased dramatically (if temporarily), to the point where human eyes cannot track her easily. In A's, this is upgraded to Sonic Move; in Sonic Form, she does not need to activate the ability.

Defenser — Bardiche's Auto-Guard magic. It can guard in every direction, but can be broken easily.

Defenser Plus — It is essentially a more powerful form of Defenser, and capable of being cast over a larger area to protect more than one person. This technique was refined by Kha as he is specialized in the creation of barriers and shields.

Bind Break — Attempts to deactivate a binding or imprisoning spell. The amount of time required to deactivate depends on the complexity of the target magic.

Jacket Purge — Fate "unravels" the magic power that comprises her Jacket, causing it to explode. This has significant attack power, and can disrupt binding magics. However, she is vulnerable for a few moments after purging the Jacket, and she requires magic power to recreate a new one. It is this command that begins the system's preparation for Sonic Drive.

Thunder Arm — A lightning defense on her left arm that attacks whoever strikes it with lightning unleashed from one of the orbs around her arm. After such an attack, an orb is consumed. Fate can create 5 orbs at once.

Dynamic Thunder — A variation of Thunder Arm that consumes all 5 orbs at once and launches an electrical impression of Fate’s arm up to the base of the elbow to act as a mid-ranged attack.

Offensive Abilities

Arc Saber — Fate's melee attack, consisting of a blade of light from the Bardiche in Scythe form. It is powerful enough to neutralize Nanoha's Divine Shooter missiles. The blade itself can be thrown, spinning it much like a shuriken.

Scythe Slash — A variation of the Arc Saber where the blade is enhanced in order to penetrate barrier-type magics such as Barrier Jackets.

Haken Saber — As Arc Saber, except with Bardiche Assault in Haken form.

Haken Slash

— The Scythe Slash-like variation of Fate's Haken Saber.

Plasma Blaster — Fate launches two beams of yellow plasma from the two orbs by her shoulders as a sword-cross countermeasure. As such, this skill can only be used in the heavier but better-equipped Impulse barrier jacket form.

Photon Lancer — Fate's basic ranged attack, fired from a small collection of energy called a "Photon Sphere". Fate's shots are faster, but unlike Nanoha's Divine Shooter, they are unguided. Because of their ease and speed of casting, Fate now uses them like Nanoha uses Divine Shooter as blindfire "Head Vulcan" attacks.

Photon Lancer Phalanx Shift — A variation of Photon Lancer (and Fate's most powerful attack in season 1), this spell amasses several large Photon Spheres and unleashes a storm of Photon Lancer shots on the target.

Plasma Lancer — A more powerful version of Photon Lancer, with increased attack power and the ability to turn at Fate's command should it miss.

Thunder Smasher — Fate's siege-type attack, analogous to Nanoha's Divine Buster.

Plasma Smasher — Thunder Smasher's upgrade, used when Bardiche Assault is in Assault Form.

Trident Smasher — The third upgraded magic of the Thunder Smasher line, three beams are shot simultaneously from the same firing-point, creating the illusion of a trident's blade.

Thunder Rage — Fate's multitarget attack, activated with Bardiche in Sealing Form. Together with Nanoha's Divine Buster, Fate used this to seal six Jewel Seeds at once.

Thunder Blade — An enhanced version of Thunder Rage, Fate focuses each attack into individual swords that can detonate on the command "Break!". Chrono Harlaown has a similar attack called Stinger Blade.

Blitz Rush — Fate can increase the speed of her magic missiles such as Plasma Lancer.

The Zamber: The Blade of Testarossa

This style of magical sword creation has been passed down over centuries, surviving even the selection pressure for ranged Midchilda schools of magic. The basic Zamber was programmed into Bardiche right from the start, but it was only when Bardiche was upgraded with the CVK system and Fate grew stronger that she was able to wield the family’s sword for the first time.

Ever since then, Fate has been working with what secrets she could unlock from within Bardiche, and with pointers from the mysterious Wodan Ymir, has been discovering old Zamber swords and creating new ones for herself.

Riot Zamber — Bardiche Assault in a sabre-like form, replacing the basic Zamber as Fate’s main Zamber sword. Riot Zamber is much sharper and has a more refined shine when compared to the basic Zamber, and is a testament of Fate’s mastery of the Zamber, much like Kha’s own Zamber variant, Gotteliches Zamber, or G-Zamber for short.


When Fate performs attacks with Riot Zamber, she sometimes uses differ ritual shouts to trigger different effects.

Itouryoudan! - This strengthens Fate's swing, allowing her to deliver a clean slice through the midsection.

Denkōsekka! – Fate uses the Riot Zamber with a swift swipe in the air to create a strong enough wind to cut the enemy.

Daisharin! – Fate uses additional mana to enlarge the Riot Zamber into a larger katana-like blade. She then swings it, releasing what seems like a giant version of the ranged mode of Haken Saber.

Raikō Giri! – Fate first enlarges the Zamber into a large broadsword, if it isn’t already in that mode. She then uses it to perform a giant vertical strike from below the opponent and then performing a swift horizontal strike almost simultaneously, then finishes with a strike of lightning from above or from her hand for a good measure.

Shippu Jinrai! – Fate would perform a series of rapid slashes, before ending with a clean, vertical cut.

Un'yō no Tachi, Kenzan! – Fate enlarges the Zamber to such a point that it's almost too large for her arms to even handle. Straining under Bardiches weight, she lifts the weapon high above her head and proceeds to take to the sky. She then drops down with a single bisecting slash as a finishing attack, yelling KENZAN!

The following changes the sword blade, and can be used with the above shouts.

Sprite Zamber — This sword is designed to destroy force fields, binding magics, and illusions. Fate, after transforming Bardiche Assault to Zamber form, uses this to break out of the Book of Darkness' prison.

Jet Zamber — Fate's ultimate melee attack, she first throws a shockwave at the target, then swings Bardiche Assault in Zamber form. The energy blade of the Zamber grows to many times its typical size, so Fate can slash through a target that would ordinarily be out of range. This is analogous to Vita’s Gigantform.

Plasma Zamber Breaker — Bardiche Assault in Zamber form unleashes a powerful energy blast with a cricket-type swing. Functions as an even longer-ranged particle assault bombardment.


Hurricane Zamber


An extremely powerful combination attack between Fate and her familiar Arf that uses almost all types of spells, from ritual magic to weather-control to mass-bombardment to binds.

Arf transform into her largest and most powerful form Dire Wolf, and lets Fate hitch a ride. Charging towards the enemy like a magical samurai on horseback, Fate then strikes with the Hurricane Zamber in various fashions and power levels depending on the coordinated mana burst delivered.

Cat One - a high-speed horizontal slash, then Fate cleaves the enemy vertically afterwards.

Cat Two - Hurricane Zamber spins very rapidly to generate a whirlwind that carries the bisected enemy mage up into the air before Fate adds a final horizontal slash upon the enemy.

Cat Three – This is where it starts getting ridiculous. Fate and Arf mount up on any conveniently available raised platform like a telephone phone or building or cliff with a sharp fall or just float in the air very much higher than the opponent amid torrents of rain and lightning. Arf then pushes off the raised point and charges down the raised platform, sometimes almost vertically, using gravity to gain additional momentum. Fate directs several lightning bolts to strike down and bind the enemy mage as they close, and once they do proceed with a cricket paddle swing knocking the mage off his/her feet then finishing with a horizontal slashing as they ride pass.

Cat Four – Fate and Arf mount up on any conveniently available raised platform like a telephone phone or building or cliff with a sharp fall or just float in the air very much higher than the opponent amid torrents of rain and lightning. Arf then pushes off the raised point and charges down the raised platform, sometimes almost vertically, using gravity to gain additional momentum. This variation pumps a lot of mana into Hurricane Zamber’s spin, creating a vortex that sucks the enemy mage towards the sky and be struck repeatedly by lightning as they charge at the target. And when then close with the target mid-air, Fate finishes the target off with a clean slice.

Cat Five – The most awesome, borderline-ridiculous and overwhelmingly powerful version of Hurricane Zamber. Using Kha’s Reality Marble idea, Fate projects a false reality that traps the target within a realm that obeys only her own rules. As such, there is always a high cliff shrouded in enormously violent lightning storms for her to mount on. Arf then pushes off the raised point and charges down the raised platform, sometimes almost vertically, using gravity to gain additional momentum. The reality created is that, as the enemy tries to run, lightning from above will repeatedly strike them no matter what they do, and no matter how they try to escape, Fate and Arf will always catch up. Fate then performs a flurry of slashes before leaping into the air after the hapless target, striking down with a clean vertical cut and stopping a safe distance away before the target explodes.

As cool as it sounds, this skill is so taxing that it is damaging to one‘s magical potential. However, due to the way the Master-Familiar mana link is established, Arf has a trick that causes only her Linker Core takes the bulk of the strain and leaving a manageable amount for Fate, leaving herself completely drained and near death when they used that attack once. As a familiar, Arf’s Linker Core and magical potential can recover eventually over a long period of time, but because of that taking such a big hit at once can kill her.

Even in StrikerS, 1 year after the incident, Arf is still in like power-saving form. And Fate has practically sworn off ever trying Cat 5 again.

Riot Zamber II


With Sonic Drive Form active, Bardiche Assault split into two Riot Zamber, much like how Kha can split Tausend Kreuz’s greatsword-like Kreuzfahrer form into two falchions. In fact, Fate thanks Kha for letting her borrow his idea after defeating Jail.

But unlike Kha, a magical string at the end of each hilt connects both of halves of the Zamber. This additional feature, while it restricts the throwing capacity of RZ2, proves to be very nifty. The string allows RZ2 to be used like sword-chucks, with Fate able to perform the mind-boggling nunchaku dance made famous by Bruce Lee. The enforcer demonstrates that the string can be set to cutting strength and blunt strength rapidly, as she used the string to damage Tre then grabbing the same portion with her bare hands to swing the two Zamber blades at Jail and Sette. The strings can also extend, allowing Fate to throw one half like a dart and retrieve the blade like a yoyo. And since it can extend, it can also retract fully, holding both Zambers end to end like a massive double-edged beam saber, allowing her to face off the combined attacks of Tre and Sette at once while avoiding Jail’s laser whips.

Fate can also combine both Riot Zamber halves to form an even bigger version, and split them at her command even with the blades embedded in solid material, causing it to be cleaved from within. Visually, the rejoined Riot Zamber II resembles the ZXO Sword from the Super Robot Wars series.

I tried to be fair to all my characters...

But sadly...

Fate got the most so far.
