I liked episode 1. It wasn't awesome, but it sure wasn't bad. I actually havn't seen episode 2 yet, but I guess I will when I have to go through the translation and typeset the episode >.>

I, for one, am happy that the serie will only be 12 episodes. The game is made out of 11 chapters of a month each if I remember correctly. It would be an extremely slow-moving serie if it were anything like 24 or 26 episodes.

Just watched episode 2 and lo, it was quite amusing. While it remined me of Strawberry Panic and Kashimashi, it's nice that there have been no pretenses of being a "serious" series, which mostly just annoyed me in SP (had to stop watching it) and Kashimashi.

What really made this episode fun for me was Shion's extremely polite manner of speech (-:

What's going to come for poor Mizuho now that he seems in the middle of a big predicament?

After watching episode and right afterwards read Omni's synopsis, Takako is going to give him the hard time.

She's pretentious of the Elder position and covets it so badly, that she's going to stick on him to found anything remotely bad about his background.

Worst could happen if she finds out his secret.

And just now that he was starting to enjoy his girl days with Shion and the rest of his other classmates.

What I learn:

1. Boys get to be found out or have their covers blown off easily, because either they neglect or unconsciously pull out their quirks that the most astute and observant girl would be able to tell them out.
I cannot think of any other reason how Shion managed to expose him in a nick of an eye, but it had to do when he told her that Kana brought him his bento box that he forgot.

Either that or being the previous Elder Shion was informed by the principal about Mizuho's future enrollment. Or it maybe that Shion's power of intuition are on par with L's powers of deduction.

2. Girls are scary.
Given her cute voice coupled with her scary looks after finding out that Mizuho's a boy, I was trembling that Shion would give him some punishment.

She did though it was a batsu play along with Mariya to mess at his mind.

If anyone has ever read Pretty Face manga, it is obvious that Mizuho's wearing a sort of rubber suit under that comes close to the real thing when received the punishment from Mariya for having watched the other girls chaning in the locker room.

3. Boys will be boys.
I would feel the same odd and annoyed like Mizuho if finding out that my girl osananajimi intentionally put girly stuff at my place or on my desk or school bag just to tease me.

Given that he's currently disguised as a girl, I read some discussions of people that compare Mizuho with Hazumu from Kasimasi, but I disagree.

When he was a boy Hazumu was at odds and bothered with guys stuff. On the other hand, Mizuho's reactions and quirks are natural to his gender, but he sometimes forgets that he's in an all-girls academy.

I'm more inclined to compare him with Sasaki Yukinari from Girls Bravo, except that Mizuho has no gynophobia issues nor that he's a wuss. it is just that he's weak when dealing with girls stuff or situations that require girl sophistication because feels at odds with them.

Looks its going to be funny and intresting series, i suspect major laughter watching him try to hide the fact that hes a guy not to mention supressing those male urges in a school full of cute girls. Thats the kind of punishment you give a guy not make a last request for for. I cant wait to see how he manages gym class showers and the other things girls do. However if love blossoms which im sure it will it will harder and harder for him to expose his secret.

I finally learned why the girls don't find out he's a guy in the pajama party (ep 1)...
