Sounds... generic. What's the selling point for non-badminton fans?

The couple of chapters I read a long time ago were really good so I'm hyped for this.

If the anime is only 12 episodes, it won't even get to the good part (the nationals). It's a shame.

This one's actually pretty different (though not necessarily in a good way). Can't explain here without giving away spoilers. PM me if you want to know more.

Sport anime always interest me so i went on to read the early chapter.

It show promise but i dont like this type of MC though, the other key character is actually interesting and fun but the MC....

I guess i wait until watch the anime first, maybe they can make it more “acceptable”

You won't get a good idea of what the story is about from the first few chapters though. You have to read at least until they start revealing Ayano's backstory. It's not translated though.

Yeah, i read until chapter 5 and i can see the progress about MC attidute.

They give you hint about her background, and she start enjoying on badminton (despite just for the praise), i guess it depend on the author how he going to steer MC behavior in the future but, iam liking what iam seeing so far

I know it's OT but before anyone (me included) asks if the badminton in this series is realistic, Japanese player Akane Yamaguchi is the World #2 in women's badminton.

Here is her match against World #1 Tai Tzu-Ying of Taiwan / Chinese Taipei in the Australia Badminton Open.

The reason I brought this up is that IMO sports anime tend to be received as realistic if Japan excels in the featured sport internationally. Which is Yuri on Ice is realistic (Yuzuru Hanyu and friends, natch) while KnB is not (the Japanese men's basketball team is only mid-tier at best in Asia, at least for now, but once their two US-based players come back stronger to join the team, then they can compete in Asia; the women's team OTOH is one of the world's powerhouse teams).

That's interesting. The manga kinda portrays it like tennis in the sense that the "ball" doesn't decelerate as much as it should. I hope the anime will fix it and make it more realistic.

I'd like to say I'm looking forward to it but if it's only 12 episodes, it will only cover Aragaki's part. Ayano doesn't really get the spotlight until later.

If is only 12 episodes, I think the anime will end after the match of Nagisa and Ayano.
