Saw the hype. Came in, now at Ep 4. Ep 1 was really, really hard to get past. I even had to take a break and finished it. By Ep 4, I'm sold.

Already saw a few spoilers (cause I couldn't resist). If this had a bit more marketing and promotions during its airing, I'm sure the sales will be even better than reported.

KF was a dead throwaway franchise so they gave the anime team free reign on what to do
unexpectedly it became a smash hit

since this is now a cash cow again, Kadokawa is taking back steps to wrestle back control over the franchise

The way they do this is to create a new committee in which they have full control
and to do that they are getting rid of the old staff
