That interview is pretty long, would love to see someone like hagu do a full translation like how he did with the Keiya one. Even a synopsis would be great!

Wasn't that interview done in May? I feel like we would have received news about it being animated by now. They could be talking about Umineko being drawn as a manga instead... but I don't know. (Obviously I can't read all that...)

But still, it would be nice to get a summary of this interview.

Are you sure? I just skimmed it (long interview is long) but didn't see any mention of a Chiru anime in the making.

Thought I'd post this here to ask for help on what this could mean, since it's really confusing. I'm not sure if this is a translation error or not, so.

Spoiler for Umineko EP2:

[EDIT: I thought this post belonged in this thread because it's regarding translated text from the Sound Novel. Sorry if that was a mistake.]

Spoiler for Just in case this is a spoiler.:

I hope this helps, and BTW, the anime cut soooo much text that things like Fragments and such were barely even mentioned, amongst other things...

Regarding the 'fragments'… have you read Higurashi When They Cry? The 'fragments' are the 'kakera' seen in Minagoroshi-hen and Matsuribayashi-hen.

sorry for the question but i couldn't find the last update from the game, in which state is the translation?
i can't believe we have all the translation from the previous episodes in time and the end of the story we love so much is taking so long, is really really an eternal torture XD

There was an update around 3 days ago. Translation is at 65% now.

Not sure where this should go, but I was rereading EP5 and came across this.
Spoiler for EP5:

However, in this..
Spoiler for EP7:

Or is this just talking about Kinzo's past in general, not that Nanjo was there..

That aside, still waiting on the complete translation for EP8. Doesn't matter how long it takes, though I wish I could read it already.

Spoiler for Umineko EP2:

And yeah, I know, it's really a shame how much they cut when making the anime. I mean, I understand that it was necessary to even attempt to fit the first 4 games into 26 episodes, but... Oh well.

I haven't actually read or seen Higurashi, unfortunately. I do plan to, definitely, though I don't know when.

It's outright stated that Kinzo receiving the gold played into his becoming the genius he was, reviving his family. And he got it from a woman named Beatrice who, if not a witch, was certainly a blonde westerner. Beatrice is an Italian name. The One Winged Eagle looks VERY similar to some WW2 iconography...

Spoiler for WWII iconography example:

I was unaware of the relation until I was stenciling a One Winged Eagle onto a hoodie sleeve and my father mentioned something to that effect.

I believe we should use more spoiler tags or, even better, talk about those things in their appropriate topics

That's what I said on the previous page. It wasn't specifically stated in Episode 1, not until Episode 7, so it should be in spoiler tags.
