If Madhouse found a way to make infodumps interesting, and use that method... then this anime would be miles better than SAO.

If only...

"Adaptation.

It is not a product of legends or fairy tales..."

I just read the novels a couple of days ago; so I can't say I've been waiting too long.

I doubt they'll get to <<The Scorched Halloween>>; but it's not like there's no hope.

Actually, being able to use animated sequences _could_ make the Infodumps easier to digest. Still, trying to simplify them a bit would probably be a smart move.

As long as the adaptation doesn't simplify them such that we end up having plot holes... SAO had this kind of problem IIRC.

Never thought I'd see the day this came into anime existence. -time to hibernate until it comes out.-
Nakamura-san as Tatsuya makes me happy for some strange reason. Hayamin means on board the Miyuki fort. All hail the lovely imouto.
Seriously tho, Miyuki is the best imouto hands down, no questions asked.
I'm gonna wait for the OP to see the potential shipping pairings.

''Reads comments'' dammit too late it's already begun, I'll just say I had nothing to do with it, I was just raising a concern that is all.

This'll probably get two cours and I heard someone say on Jcafe the the PV said 26 episodes. If they stick to 3 episodes per volume , they could probably swing 4 arcs, but whatever the case they have to at least do the Yokohama arc.
Oh, ok thanks for the reply, that's good, but I always thought that the Yokohama Incident happened way too soon in the storyline, although it was pretty awesome.

Really liked the light novel to this, so I hope it turns out alright as an anime. The main character was kinda cool.

Just finished up Vol 08 of this last week. An adaptation is not unexpected, but for some reason I thought it would have been sooner. Ah well.

It is an interesting story for me (though not terribly deep on the whole there are a few interesting reflections from the main chara) and esp the male lead just seemed to me to keep rolling out surprises.

Am curious to see what kind of a job will be done with this one....

I can say with a lot of confidence that I've been the longest HanaKana fan of this board, and still I believe Hayamin is the right choice. Unlike others here I believe HanaKana does great with more 'mature' roles (for example, Kuroneko is one of the few characters that tempted me away from osananajimi, and IMO Fuwa Aika has been THE performance of her career).

That said, Miyuki though is more Yamato Nadeshiko with a mean jealous streak in my mind, and I've always imagined Miyuki to be like the imouto-dere version of Tsuruko from AnoHana. Regardless, Hayamin pretty much has Yamato Nadeshiko to a tee (I'd like to think Kikuko Inoue passed on the torch to Mamiko Noto who then passed it to Hayamin ) while HanaKana's Yamato Nadeshiko isn't the greatest (Susukihotaru was utterly forgettable for example).

I personally don't think so. The last time there was a HUGE divide of the fanbase because of shipping in this board was Macross Frontier, and that was because MF was made with that in mind. So far so called shipping wars have been blown way out of proportion by shipper haters, as even OreImo (probably the one that was closest to a full out war) has been comparatively tame. And I don't see anything in this series that's in OreImo's league that would put such a rift between its fans, much less anything that will turn out to a real shipping war.

You can barely tell the difference between this and the novel illustrations. This is good.

Honoka is cute!

darn, the design for the gown of the girl's uniform. i wonder if they will go in detail for that one. Mahouka's uniform design is one of the cutest one.

Madhouse is pulling out all the stops for this one. I think its safe to say that we can expect a decent show animation-wise.
