Respect for rider has risen, undoubtedly, especially after his usual honorable mannerisms and speeches, not to mention simple tactics that seemed effective. But somehow i expected they would show at least a glance of the bloody scene, guess I was wrong.

I will assume that it would take a mad artist to picture what the furniture will look like....
it's one thing to describe it vaguely in words, it's another level to portray it visually in a grotesque manner. I wonder who in Ufotable will take up the responsibility to come up with the look...

Darius the Third is the last Persian emperor of the Achaemenid empire founded by Cyrus the Great. Defeated by Alexander the Great, Darius' defeat put an end to the tension between Greece and Persia, where you could have a glimpse of it in the movie 300.

Man, love how the episode shows the 3 different relationships between the master and servant.
You get the shattered "love triangle" one in the Lancer group the unsteady "cold war" within the Saber group and finished up with the awesome dynamics between Waver and Rider.

also, i find it amusing how everyone's hating Sola because of what she did to kayneth, while ignoring the fact that it is the most sensible thing a person in her shoes could do. Kayneth is freaking paralyzed and can't use magecraft any more, he's dead weight, and Sola is risking her life in the war, just like any other. Would you leave your safety in the hands of a powerless cripple? Kayneth could have just handed the CS over and there would have been no need to twist his finger... |

Rider is just way too awesome. A manly man with a heart of gold and tremendous wisdom. He's completely overshadowing the other servants to me. I'm glad Waver "stole him" from Kayneth~ even the two of them are so different, I can't imagine Rider would have gotten along with any other master as well as he does with Waver.
The Lancer-Sola-Kayneth triangle is interesting. Sola turned to be more of a bitch than I thought. What she did to Kayneth was downright cruel, especially since it's obvious she has intention of using the grail to heal him. Lancer, on the other hand, intends to keep faithfully serving his master. Let's say Sola and him manage to win the war: what happens if his wish is in contradiction with Sola's? Does the master's wish take precedence over that of his servant? I've always wondered about that. I'm surprised so few people commented on the next episode preview. It's a Rin episode! Rin! Loli Rin! I didn't expect to see her again in the series. Can't wait to see what kind of role she's going to play.

Another great episode, especially the flashback, looks like a trailer from a show of its own. Hint hint. Except Team Caster ,team Rider, and team Assassin, all of the teams can't get along with each other.
His plan would have been to roll into a ball and die. Seriously though, his job is to take out Masters not Servants |

Sure, he may have been a bastard to Waver, a cocky-asshole to probably everyone else, but he truly loves Sola. (and for that matter, he seems to only treat her nicely) Pet the dog, man... Pet the dog.

i dont think Sola is serious about healing her husband, she must have other motives
now another group found out about assassin not dead, they should complain to the church about secretly helping Kirei the relationship between Saber and Kiritsugu looks like the worst among all masters and servants

What she did increased their chances of victory, but it doesn't mean that people won't frown upon it. As for Kiritsugu, he's got balls to be going after Kayneth. I mean if I'm Kiritsugu I'd expect Kayneth to be under heavy guard and protection from Lancer. It seems like transferring command seals is not an uncommon practice, wouldn't Kiritsugu at least be a little bit worried that Lancer might have a fresh master now? EDIT: Sola's motives are pretty obvious. Get the Grail, let Lancer stay with her forever, then have fun playing mana-wrestling. |

As usual Rider and Waver's antics dominated the episode, those two really are the best Master and Servant combo in the Grail War.
I was looking forward to seeing Caster's handiwork but I suppose no censor would have let that through after all, shouldn't have gotten my hopes up. Sola, Lancer and Kayneth... as the saying goes, being Lancer is suffering. The sad part is I'm sure that Lancer realizes that it's going the same way as before, but he can't do a thing about it. Anyway, looking forward to seeing Rin next week.

I think Kiritsugu is rushing for the kill because of Kotomine Kirei. The faster he can get it done with Lancer Team, the faster Saber will get her curse lifted, therefore the more his team will be able to stand against who he think is his worst enemy.

Yes, that's likely part of the reason why he was so pissed at Saber. Not only did she ruin his very effective strategy, she did it when the entire reason Kiritsugu used said strategy was to free her curse, which she got on her own through her own incompetence. He sacrificed a portion of his freaking ribs to get her arm back to normal, and she repays him by betraying his trust and trusting an enemy Servant with his life instead? Kiritsugu really must be cursing himself for not having gotten a Servant like Assassin instead. |

Have to say good on Rider for trying to keep Waver from having to see all that. He was right that it would just be too much to bear. For a kid like that to see what I imagine would be a horrifying scene it would be terrible. They did get to find out about Assassin so that's one less group being fooled.
The cold war continues. Really thinking they should have dumped the relic summoning and just let the Grail pick. Since that way would have gotten a servant more fitting with Kiritsugu's personality. Though can imagine who he might have gotten normally . Right now these two are seriously going to snap with their different thinking. Kiritsugu is going to try and kill Kayneth while Saber wants to stop Caster. Kiritsugu is willing to sacrifice however many children are going to die until they stop Lancer and Saber can go at 100% and obviously Saber isn't willing to make those levels of sacrifice. Good thing he saved up those command spells since he's going to need every last one. Quote:
Of course there is that sympanty for Kayneth even if he wasn't a great guy. He's down for the count and his only hope is that his wife will still use the Grail (if by some miracle they can win) to heal him. Considering she was breaking fingers and threatening a severed arm to get the command spells....the odds aren't good. What he might not get is that Lancer really doesn't have a need for the grail. He just wants to have that experience of faithfully serving one lord to the end. Of course just his luck that he ends up with a master who has a wife who is so directly involved with the war and thus is in close proximity.
