i'm liking the new priest. their party sucked really bad, so i'm glad they got someone that knows their stuff. maybe mary will toughen then up instead of them asking her to heal their -20hp flesh scratch every time they got hit

I haven't read the volume 2 and 3 but I saw summaries, here's what I remember. Some details can to be wrong, and if it is the case, so much for that, you will keep a little suspense when the translation will be there.

Spoiler for Volume 2:

After finally overcome their painful experience and become official members of Crimson Moon. The band starts to hunt in the mines of kobolds.
At the same time, Haruhiro gains confidence as a leader while the relationship of Ranta with the group degenerates to the point where Haru thinks on his exclusion from the party.

But then they hunt in the depths of the Siren Mines and are surrounded by kobolds, Ranta stays to allow the group to escape.
He know they will perhaps favored their safety on his life and not return, but he stays because after all, he wants to be a membre of the group. Haruhiro, Mogzo, Shihoru, Yume and Mary realize it and come back to save him.

Later in the mines, they are attacked by former teammates of Mary, income in the form of Undead. As they deal with them to clean and free their souls.
Deathpath appears. Despairing, Haruhiro decides to stay behind to allow others to run, but the dreadful kobold ignore him and goes to the team.
Preparing to attack in the back of the monster with his skills of thief, and hopeless to win, Haruhiro sees a white line, proof of death that awaits the stroke of his knife.

Spoiler for Volume 3:

The team became accustomed to life as Crimson Moon member. Ranta and Mogzo think about to open a shop of ramen, none of them really know what it is but Mogzo remembers the composition and ingredients while Haru meets a girl of another team that he think to know of his former life.

The soldiers of Altanea ask the help of Crimson Moon to take back an ancien fort held by the orc, they will be the reserve corp and fight the orcs outside during the siege. It is supposed to be an easy mission and each participant will gain a gold piece.

Haruhiro decided to participate with the team. Many adventurers participate whose the team of Renji, and the team of his former friend. But the battle did not go as planned. The orcs managed to repel the troops, forcing the adventurers to fight against a larger member.

The combat is terrible, many died, Haruhiro saw his old friend die in front of her eyes, forcing him to remember some of his past with her.
But the bataille is finally over when, after having fought with Renji against the boss of orc, Mogzo falls.

She is a childhood friend of Haruhiro, you can see her on the cover of Volume 3.
They was close and he was in love with she, but he did not dare tell her at the time because she said she was in love with someone.

I don't know for Mogzo, I think it's a cliffhanger at the end of the volume.

Yeah, i just read the 1st manga chapter too.

It's a nice change of pace for the "teleported to a fantasy world" story where the protagonist is a shy guy with self confidence issues rather than a braggy OP character.

The "line" that Haruhiro sees sometimes remind anyone about the "Mystic Eyes of Death Perception in Tsukihime that Shiki Tohno utilized. For Haru it looks like he can only see when he's in danger or willing himself to survive like in boss fights.

I think it's more like the line from the end of the street fighter anime or such (couldn't remember a better example). He isn't seeing lines across his target, like shiki. He's seeing a line from himself to his target. The reason why he rarely sees it is because the skill is showing him the opening in his targets defense that would lead to a sure-kill blow. If there is no opening, there is no line.
