this is democracy's gone wrong.
This is when the power of freedom allowing a tryant and a nutcase to surpress others.
If Bush gets re-elected for next term, international terrorism isn't going to be the only concern, watch out for domestic violence and unrest.

here is one more thought i would like to share with my fellow board member.
Bush is openly-religious and often connects his speech and policies with his christian way of thinking.
Imagine a president that is a g.w.bush but an atheist, and often make speeches and support policies that openly support infidels and oppose religions. I wonder how the christians and relgion fanatics would react to a president like that.
It's a good thing bush is a fuddie, at least he doesnt have to worry too much about making stupid comments that insults christians.

Bush can intergrate his believes and religious standpoints to the decisions making in america, and america is ok with it; if a president publicly denounce the existence of god, that president wouldnt get the same treatment as bush is getting.

Bush is really desperate to do what ever he can to make him look better before election roles around. To tell you the the truth, I think the votes have already been determined; nothing he could do would change it.

I don't think this is an attempt to squash free speech; maybe it's an attempt to hide Bush from the reality of dissent against him. As long as he doesn't see any protestors, his advisers can simply tell him there aren't any to speak of.

Well, look on the bright side. Even if he gets reelected, atleast he won't be in office for longer than four years. It's a whole lot better than for life.

Just imagine Bush being a king or a dictator, now that would be terrible.

Thank god for limited terms.

By the time Bush completes his 2nd term, world war 3 would be started.

I think that we might have already started the Fifth Crusade, but this thread is wandering off of topic again.

The people who came up with this forgot to mention the Democrats that voted for Bush. If they had voted for Gore, Nader would not have made a difference.

Someone on this forum has the quotation from Albert Einstein in his sig:
"I don't know what World War Three will be fought with, but World War Four will be fought with sticks and stones."

True. It seems like Bush has launched a war against Islam, not terrorism.
Although Bush is outwardly Christian, the courts seem to be opposing him. The rulings against the Alabama State Courthouse Ten Commandments Monument and the banning of the Pledge of Allegience in Sacremento, California, seem to suggest so [the latter has been appealed to the Supreme Court]. I agree with the courts [I will post an editorial I wrote for the school newspaper later if someone asks why]. As good as Christian intentions are, we should keep them from clouding our government's processes.

hobos avatar confuses me like no other.

Anyways, Bush...what more can I say about this guy, I think his plan is just to outrage people so much that they become sick and tired of bieng outraged, and can no longer go on trying to do anything about it. I'm sure bush will try to get a bill passed for indefinite presidential terms, if he gets re-elected(everyone pray this doesnt happen). who knows, just so sick of him, soooo siiiick*vomit blood*

Elimination of free speech?
Getting rid of overtime payment?
Becoming involved with church affairs?

I'm all sorts of crazy madnow! He can't ban freedom of speech! It goes against the constitition! This is another reason for me to hate George W. Bush. He doesn't care for us. He does his job as president as lazily as he can. Why did we trust this hack with the responsiblity as president of the U.S.A. anyway? (Note that because he's the son of George Bush, someone who did what he was supposed to, is not an excuse.)
