I only know today that there's an anime version to Kogepan. I mean, all along I've only seen the soft toy and other fun stuff being sold in shops (my sis used to like them alot) but I've never ever seen or heard anything about the anime...weird...

Is this a newly subbed version of "Kogepan"? I have 10 episodes from... a group that I can't remember right now. It's definitely a cute - and very short episode length-wise - series.

Edit - Hmm, it looks like the series is still going on. More "Kogepan" goodness.

Yay!! While I don't get teh whole show, it's unbearably cute and... unique in its own way. I think the small little bread are incredibly cute. How the hell do they get the voices properly?

It's also so funny to see all the various kinds of burnt bread. Damn X) I've seen the pencil cases and all of that... NOW I can really recognize that pose where Kogepan is lying on the floor and talking to all the little bread in the tray.

The strawberry bread is also so cute... AWWwwww ;_;

yea kogepan is very funny....but now a new fear has been placed onto me. From now on I gotta think about what I buy at the bakery....I mean living, breathing, walking, and talking bread?? Thats scary and you have to wonder what happens to the bread you have bought at night. They must come to you and chant evil cultish things about......... bread....heh j/k

Hmm when I saw the merchandise for this show I thought it was suppose to be poop lol (you know because it was brown and roundish and yea....)

watch it!!!

How many shows are there about bread!?!? Are you kidding? There is a whole sub-genre of bread related anime! Kogepan is just the tip of this iceberg.

My friend was telling me a few weeks ago about a bread making manga that he really liked, could this be it? He said there was one part where he makes bread for his grandpa who doesn't like bread, so the boy makes some kind of rice bread that his grandpa ends up liking. Is that this one?

Wow breadmania really is sweeping accross Japan!

Which is better, Yakitate or Kogepan? Or is that like comparing Wheat and Rye?

hey I just had a crazy idea lets start a kogepan fan club!

We can start an irc channel and even make kogepan avatars and sigs and discuss deep and myterious topics like:

why does milk make you drunk? or how about what is going to happen to our troubled hero, kogepan! and even the very difficult question of will the conflict between kogepans and pretty breads ever be settled?

JAppi can be the groups leader seeing how is the true diehard fan
and maybe I'm just dreaming, but hey I said it was a crazy idea.

I think it's symbolic. You see Kogepan's life is a waste. So he decides to get drunk. Since he can't get alcohol he drinks milk. Sadly the whole getting drunk and etc is a sham, just like kogepan. It's such a depressing and inspiring show all at the same time.

I personally think that's a load of bullshit though.
