The same person that's always voiced Roger, Chikao Ohtsuka.

Seems that FUNi is gonna start streaming One Piece in the end of May, one hour after they air in Japan. They've already uploaded 391 and some of the early episodes.

...I just thought I should mention it.

EDIT: I'd like to point out that my information earlier was a bit off. The Sabaody-arc episodes are sub-only. The early episodes are available both dubbed and subtitled, though.

Hold on. Are you saying that Funimation is going to start dubbing the episodes from 391 and on? Why would they do that when they haven't even dubbed any of the episodes after the end of the Skypiea arc? Just something I'm wondering, that's all.
This is really good news to hear.

According to an update in that exact same article, they're just subbing the Sabaody-episodes. Only the first episodes are dubbed.

Good news. Some people in USA and other countrys might have slight problems watching anime subbed but they will get used to it quickly and I might say they will enjoy One Piece much better with original voice acting.

Dont want to disrespect Funimations voice actors but truth is they dont have same commitment and same quality as original voice actors.

I second that!!!!

This episdoe is really welldone, the music also hits the spot especially the chapel theme during the excution.

Two part that wasn't in the manga that I thought was really well done and the highlight of the episode are the part with Roger drinking while laid against Rayleigh before walk away and leaves his last remark and the bubble metaphor. The bubble part where two bubbles sticks together after the rest of bubbles broke was expertly done and truely shows the bond between Roger & Rayleigh.

Like Petbe, the part I would complain would be the closeup pauses seemed a bit too long. Another would be that compare to the manga, Rayleigh's reaction during the day of execution where he "never drank as much, laugh as hard, cry as loud" was the emotional punch that shows his bond with Roger, if seems a bit weak in anime. Maybe that was because the two scenes I mentioned was so well done, but I just thought the VA for rayleigh did'nt do as good a job as I thought delevering that line and the animation team didn't to put as much effort and thought as I would like, because I thought some flashback with Rayleigh on that day or even a shadow of him drinking would really make that line perfect but instead I got noththing.

Kizaru's animation's not bad, but I was expecting something like giantic yellow flashes rather than filling the screen with classic explosions. Not great problem if ability really works that way, its not so clear in manga...But gotta love the fast kick over Hawkins face

It was really nicely done episode.

EXCEPT art... faces were really weird and Kizaru looked like retard at somepoints.

Robin looked ugly what was really stunning.

Besides of art it was excellent episode. Animation was top notch and music choices were good too. Kizarus powers were even more impressive than in manga.

Flow of scenes was bit off but nothing that disturbing.

Robins face at 401

Spoiler for 401 art:

401 was very enlightening, it shows clearly how some of their abilities work, Kizaru sounds and looks very weird imo, but Sentomaru's voice is even weirder
Can't wait to see 402, Drake's too awesome to miss.

Taken from One Piece wiki.

The model of Kizaru's face is the Japanese actor, Kunie Tanaka. Along with that, Kizaru's clothes and real name, Borsalino, are apparently based on a movie character that Kunie Tanaka played in his youth. The character, Borsalino, from the old Japanese film Truck Yarō (トラック野郎), wore a suit and shades similar to Kizaru's design.

Just watched a trailer clip of the movie and must say that it was pretty awesome seeing a marine admiral as a truck driver lol.

^ Thanks. Makes me wonder who will be the model for the third Admiral. I heard someone say Chuck Norris, but I don't think so.
