Dir en grey have been added to the line-up of the Kerrang! Relentless Energy Drink Tour 2009.

The Japanese band join Mindless Self Indulgence, Bring Me The Horizon, Black Tide and In Case Of Fire for the for the annual trek which hits Belfast on January 13.

"We are really honoured to be given a chance to participate in this tour," the band's guitarist Kaoru told Kerrang!. "We are truly thankful for Kerrang! for this opportunity and for their support. The tour will be simply amazing!"

The dates are as follows:

January
13 Belfast, Mandela Hall
14 Dublin, Academy
16 Bristol, Academy
17 Cardiff, Great Hall
18 Southampton, Guildhall
20 Oxford, Academy

23 Manchester Academy

26 Liverpool, Academy
27 Glasgow, Barrowland

Last time I made a thread about the MTH tour right before the tour dates and a few people said they wanted to go but never knew about it with enough time, so I thought on making this thread now for anyone that could be interested and hasn't seen anything on Kerrang yet.

Tickets can be found in Aloud.com

Hmmm, you might want to look more into music websites, or just those from the bands you like... they just came back from a tour in the US..

They were over there in November and December:

Spoiler for US 2008 dates:

Same as they were during 2006 Family Values Tour headed by Korn, and in their own tour in 2007...

So anyway, I'll be going to the Liverpool show in one month.

I'm sure it is going to be somewhat similar to the gig in London from Maximum the Hormone and they won't have more than 30-45 minutes to play, but well, it is better than nothing. I hope the other bands are good (not a fan of some of them).

I wanted go see their new year show in Nanba Hatch but Japan loves stupid lottery systems for its tickets so despite ordering one within 5 mins of them going on sale, nothing. Oh well, got to see DespairsRay's new year show on the 30th which more than made up for it. Really looking forward to an opportunity to see Dir again now Uroboros is out, seen as it's definitely my favourite of their albums since Kisou.

This heavy metal fan friend of mine told me they're coming. I'm not really into heavy metal or heavy rock anyway, but my friend shown me one of their music video, it pretty much freaked me out and scared me.

Even if I won't bother to see them, it's nice to see japanese artist coming to the UK. Now, if only artists I know that come over D:
