I enjoy her dark voice. Mainly because it reminds me of Suigintou.

Not a bad episode, but I'm also in the group that feels this season is a bit underwhelming. I think the problem is that the studio is fusing two separate chapters into one sketch segment, but the adaptation isn't the best and causes the entire segment to feel diluted and awkward really. For example, Nagisa acting as a man was combined with the maid cosplay chapter into one, but the studio split the focus of the skit and ending up with a weak conclusion and execution.

I liked the English bit, and mini-Ika is cute as always degeso.

Also;
Spoiler for if they ever show Ika Musume's home under the sea, I hope they have a place like this:

Oh god, the English bit nearly killed me with laughter. Adding 'de geso' to the end of an English sentence, for a start. Eat a duck I must was bad enough but when we got to Alligator I was in stitches.

Ika lying on the floor all tickled out kind of reminded me of what happened to Akarin in Yuru Yuri after being snogged senseless on two occasions.

The way the boat kept getting more grandiose names each time. I don't go in for figurines, but I keep being tempted to buy a mini-Ika, and this episode didn't help!

noticed that the drinks during the english section was iced tea/brown, then later it turns to water/blue.

English scene was great and smartly done. Even with it's few error (might even be intentional) it was the best pronounced English I've ever heard in not just anime/manga, but Japanese drama. That goes for the grammar as well.

I mean, I still can't figure out the English used on a few cases from Detective Conan.

Ika-chan has reached Saimoe Top 8 yesterday.
She is in Block D of the graph at the second link.

I was about to say Block D doesn't look to be strong consider Ika Chan's opponent to be Nero from Milky Holmes and then I saw Mio's name and she was K.O. by Ika-chan in round 1.

That actually surprised me as well as Misaka got K.O. by Lotte in Block A.

Well, it's off-topic, but in Saimoe, sniping is a way of life.

Ika Musume in in, but in the expense of Yuno ( ノºДº)ノ

But yeah,Saimoe is a battle of sniping. The high profile will always be rid off early by the strongest faction, which pretty obvious to be Madoka's atm. Soon the semi-final will be amongst Madoka, Mami,Sayaka and Kyouko at this rate. Unless there is huge backslash, then Ika may win this year

What the hell? English? And it actually sounds pretty good. Since when can Japanese voice actors speak English.

It has been rare to hear any Japanese actor do English cleanly without it seeming forced or not quite natural (accents in the wrong places or adding an extra vowel sound at the ends of words). I've heard a few that can do it for short periods, and there are some that are actually quite good at English, just they are almost never used for English speaking rolls it seems.

One that I recall that did it well was Yuko Goto as Kate in Sketchbook, but then she is also capable of butchering the Japanese language like you might expect say a Canadian to do when learning Japanese.

True, but I didn't think K-On faction and ToAru faction would go down this early...

And since I'm not Madoka fan I did follow this year's Saimoe as I usually do...

Anyway, I'll need to go catch up on this in the official thread...

It also doesn't help when modern Japanese include many English loan words which describe those English word with added <-to> sound.

I was more surprised by the fact that those English actually made sense and grammatically correct for most part(minus a few misspell).

Even the "Me toilet go" is better than 80% of what you see in Japanese drama or anime/manga.

Ether way, this is by far me favorite episode so far this season.
