Achiga-hen anime is coming soon. I wonder how many eps. does it has?

It will be the best if they animate Achiga-hen from start to finish. However, 13 eps seem too few to cover everything (maybe?) and 24 eps seem too much.

Since they introduced Senriyama as the cast already, it indicates that prefecture round will past as quickly as in manga. Anime might reach the national round within 3-4 eps. Could it be that we wll get 1 eps in anime (+filler scenes) = 1 Ch. in manga?

24 episode is fine. Since the director doing it is the same as the one who did Saki's first season. You can expect good fillers.

the manga rushed a hell of alot so there could be high quality fillers..........hell i would even call them fillers for this anime, just "deleted scenes"

If they don't at least prolong the battles and put more mahjong scenes, I'm so going to bitch the yuri add-on which make Saki look so bad at times..

I have been thinking this for a while.

Writing mahjong manga is quite hard when you think about it. Everytime Mahjong table is showed - you need to think which tiles each player will have in their hands, which tiles are being discarded. All of them must be related. You also have to draw every tile one by one. (even with computer will cost sometime). The same goes to anime. Anyway, I never check if author done this correctly everytime.

Ehh...Do you know that Gokumi is the reincarnation of Gonzo Studio #5? (the team that did first 14 eps. of Saki)

I know that. Studio Gokumi, the studio who's doing Achiga-hen, consists of the same people who did Saki.

But the last few episodes were done by another studio, so I was wondering who has the call on the entire Saki franchise now?

Basically, Kasumi and Jindai are pretty similar. When Kasumi was young, as Jindai already has her "9 heavenly beings" (not the best term), she actually "took in" (can't find a better word for now), in place of Jindai, one of the "most intriguing spirits" (again, lack of better term).

Here, we see Kasumi invoking the power of the spirit, and getting a haneman tsumo:

Kiyosumi: 97,200

And Toyone is considering to use her "3rd skill", supposely a "table control" skill. She apparently has 6 in total.
