Nope, they did reform. Just not at the Cheorwon Hive.

But i'll give you that though the Valkyries were reformed, they might not be called the 'wink wink hint hint' A-01 unit... After all, that unit never existed, no siree... never heard of them F-15SEJs either...no such unit...

I mean, there's no real need for Valkyries at this point, as an Alternative Unit.

Though, I'm sure that something else might have replaced them. XOF initials and Cold War conspiracy optional.

No worries, I too forgot which chapter it was at first. Just go through the files again since there were some updates back in Jan for the Eurofront (A-10Cs with Mk57 FTW)

And since Alt IV was a success, there would not be a next Alt, unless its to wipe out the rest of the BETA on the moon or something, which should not be an Alternative Plan, if you see. Its more like Main Directive Plan... unless they want to interrogate the Bugs... So yeah, the A-01 unit which was more like a spec ops for the Alt plans might not be in active service at that time. Of course, Yuuko could reactivate them at anytime... with F-15SEJs...

Nah, Japan officially adopted the Shiranui Second by order of her Imperial Highness Yuuhi. So the XFJ-01 became the Type-04, and they also adopted the Mk57 to become the Type-02 SSG.

The 12 prototype Export F-15SEJs sold to Japan from Boeing were 'stored' after the selection were made. It is stated at the end of the TSFiA that they are still kept functional 'just in case'...

IIRC, Valkylies are still considered as a secret squad using Gekkou's, while everyone else is on Type-04.
I remember seeing an Isumi joining them too.

Gekkous were only used in TSFiA 25, during the hive raid, when they ran into an Isumi sister, who is probably Akira, given that Marika is a nice sweet girl, and not a noisy thing like Akira.

TSFiA 25 notes that after OPEVAL was done, them Gekkou were stoed for special operations.

btw where can I read the TE light novels... kinda need to sooth my urging tendencies of Yuuya/Yui pairing... specially the new despair they said it had in the novels...

Alternative can't sooth the need of despair that I need anymore!!!!

I think they purposely made Tama's eyes look out of place on the Gundam Movie poster. The idea of beta hats/caps seems to have diffused.

Edit: The upcoming dark fantasy anime, Shingeki no Kyoujin(Attack on the Titan), is said to be inspired by Muv-Luv Alternative according to the original author. After watching the trailer, I would say that the level of despair is comparable to MLA.

Considering that these two stories are the only one that I know of having EVERYONE in the stories fear of being eaten by gigantic creature,I would say the answer is pretty obvious.
