It's just an art style change that Banpresto has been slowing shifting too. Look at the difference between z and z2. So it's not unexpected that things would feel weird to regular SRW players since it is different but it's a good thing considering how much an improvement it is.

the 4 person team up thingie(forget the name) seems pretty broken. 4 person breaks+normal twin attack + support attack, seems like an added incentive to use characters who can initiate them.

Nice to see that they're keeping the Cybuster's Discutter at range 1-2 like they modified it in OG Gaiden, otherwise the only post-movement attack you get with more than one range before you get enough morale for the Akashic Buster was just the Cybird's limited-ammo High Familiars.
I guess they also decided to make both the Discutter and the Varnity ripper available simultaneously. (there was some talk a while ago that the Discutter and Ripper would be interchangeable)

Hm, so the R-1 uses the T-Link Crush Sword in Formation R now, I wonder if the R-1 can use it now with the T-Link Knuckle and Sword.

Only person with leadership skill can initiate Maximum Break, and then the he/she loses 10 morales for using such skill, I would say it's a fair trade.

Finally we have Vanity Ripper, I guess we can hope for EX plot now, can we?

Btw off-topic, there will be another crossover mecha game titled Battle Robot Damashii, with characters that have made into Bandai's Robot Damashii figure line. Looks like an action game though, ala ACE.

Well, you didn't get any full-body shots in the battle animations of SRW MX, but now I can see why everybody thought Aqua's pilot suit was a swimsuit.....

I still can't help but revel at how they so awesomely revamped the battle animations in this game......

And I also can't help but laugh and MOEEEEEE at that pic of the Royal Heart Breaker animation.
