When did she mention that? Besides, they've past the point where time will pass quickly. It's their break time, for however long that is. So it'll only be unusual in the real world for like - 5 minutes - before everything's back to normal when they return

Yeah I am also sure that Asuna has been swapped and this one is a fake because Fate wants the real one because one of his plans in the diary had something to do with the imperial palace and the Twilight Princess. So he needs the real one in order to carry out his plans.I am scared that Asuna wont be able to return to the acsdemy in the real world after learning her origins and never hook up with Negi or even worse she might end up getting killed or just magically vanish

Oh come on DM, you really think Akamatsu is just going to kill off Asuna like that? It's far more likely that Fate planted Fake Asuna as a mole to stab Negi in the back at some crucial point, not to go deep cover and go all the way back to Earth with the Ala Alba. I'll bet you my whole manga library that Akamatsu intends to reveal the exchange at some suitably-dramatic time in the future, at which point Negi and the crew overcome the challenge with The Power of Friendship, and unlock the secrets of the Path of Light. Then the whole group takes off to go rescue Asuna, kicking righteous ass and taking many many names along the way.

Of course, we should take into account that Nodoka's artifact told us Asuna's capture was a failure. Why would it say so if the capture was a success?

Nodoka's artifact indicated a failure to render Negi helpless by binding him into a permanent contract to keep him from resisting Fate's plans. It didn't say anything about capturing Asuna, which may or may not have been what was on the next page before "Asuna" broke it.

Anyway, if the truth about Asuna's capture really was on the next page, then Negi knows about it. He did read the entire page after all.

However, I find that unlikely, considering none of the little tidbits we were allowed to read had anything to do with Asuna, but rather Nagi.

If this is a Fake Asuna it's possible she did something to the page after it had been broken, perhaps altering the message so that Fate could play with Negi's head without being present. Then again maybe we'll just see Asuna's fight in a flashback a few chapters from now and all this Fake Asuna stuff is just Wild Mass Guessing.

I read Love Hina from Ken Akamatsu, which I really liked. When I first saw Negima (I just heard about it, I haven’t read it then), I wasn’t so thrilled about it, but then I had a weekend, with nothing to do, so I started to reading it… what should I say, I was pretty mad at myself for not noticing how good it is and right now I am a total fan and can hardly wait for chapter 230 to be translated.
On that Asuna-Swap issue, I usually don’t predict what will happen next but I also think, that this Asuna is a fake, she seems a little strange, and she hasn’t bumped Negis head when he started to apologize and worry, about how this is all his fault, and so on, usually shes the first one to hit him when he starts to worry and she also stand right next to him, hm… so that’s what I think, but, like I said, I could be wrong. (sorry for my bad English)

I agree I think she's Negi's mom. I think Princess Arika is Asuna's sister or cousin. In some way or fashion Negi and Asuna are related. Which possible opens the door for someone other that Asuna to be Negi's lady. The thing is were is Princess Arika now? Is she alive or dead? I think that little boy is a young Fate.

That or his brother, assuming that Fate doesn't age normally, if at all. Rakan said that Fate was there in the battle. Unless the current Fate took on his brother (or father's) name/alias.

And that whole "masaka" thing where Nagi, Arika, and Asuna are on-page together might mean that Asuna (that's Asuna, right?) is really Arika's daughter. "Masaka" as in Arika might already be taken, if Nagi was falling for her? Then again, Nag might have initially misunderstood right away and they may actually be sisters. That could still bring up the possibility of Arika being Negi's mother. However, after the war, it seems that she was never around. After the war, Nagi might have been protecting Asuna as a promise to Arika (not saying that he didn't want to).
