I have to say that this was really entertaining..seems to me that Karin has a new crush..
tbh I think that her and Naruto would make a pretty good couple..heh..and the scene where
Naruto is greeted by the villagers, I was thinking to myself...about time man...lol

Good ep. Things were getting pretty serious near the end of the episode. Sasuke looks to have gone even more crazy and naruto is offered the key to his seal. The plot is going to be interesting as everyone is planning something.

It seemed like this was mostly canon with two long flashbacks to pad it out. Although its been so long I read the manga that I can't tell filler from canon at this point. It's good to see Naruto act normal again and some humor.

You mean Karin right? The anime made it seem like she really wanted to jump his bones. Didn't get that vibe in the manga. I wonder if they will get to talk? And will Sakura kill her?

But look out Naruto. Shikamaru and Hinata are meeting in secret places. But it's not like you were going to do anything with her anyway.

This episode brings me some nostalgic feelings... it was almost the old Naruto the pre time skip.
Konohamaru's sexy no jutsu is almost as sexy as Naruko... yeah, i like brunettes

The extra scenes (extra because they didn't appear in the manga) were very smart, because it wasn't that easy to say what was in the manga and what isn't, Ibiki's and Karin's scene for example. And i said that they are smart, because in the next episodes the anime team can make more awesome some scenes.

the fillers never even begun. It's been canon since episode 197.

She would only kill Karin if she knew she was with Sasuke before her. For lusting over Naruto? Nah.

And yeah, I can't really tell filler from canon at this point. Which is a sign that anime is doing the decent job. The Shikamaru detective stuff and Hinata cameo wasn't canon, but was interesting since it dealt with things Kishi glossed over in the manga. Like how will Naruto deal with the Kyuubi. Could Naruto lose control again? And how can they help him.

Interesting that Shika was interested in what made Naruto lose control and have the Kyuubi take over. I assume he now believes it was Hinata's "death". The anime really makes you feel bad for Hinata. She gave her life for a guy and her confession went nowhere.

Judging from the titles of the next few episodes, they're jumping straight into the next arc too.

I'm really hoping this means Naruto is ending soon, Kishimoto himself said it was close to ending in 2009, but I guess Jump doesn't want to let him finish it off.
