I wonder if there's gonna be a recap or something. It's been so long I don't remember certain plot details like a sacrifice or how the relationship was handled despite that.

The final episode of the OVA about the boy who encounters a knight of the Wild Ride has been released on Crunchyroll. I don't know how long it's been there as I only checked sporadically. It ends with Chise in her new school uniform.

So the OVAs act as a bridge between season 1 and two then? I've been ignoring them because I thought they were animating stories from later down the road.

No, I haven't seen the second and third episode of that OVA, but the Wish Upon A Star OVAs were set in the middle of Season 1 and even then it covered an adventure in her past that wasn't in the source materials some time after she was adopted, showing why it didn't work out. And the first of the one about the Wild Hunt was set after Season 1 and has no equivalent in the Manga.

Now, if they start to animate bits of the Light Novel like how Joel met Recurrant or the Pyrite Knight, or even the story of that Wizard and the other Sleigh Beggy, I'd be on that.

I thought the library OVA was better than the season itself. This OVA isn't quite as distinctive.

Yep. Hogwarts Arc. That only recently ended in the manga and it went out with some really high stakes. I'm looking forward to it.
