I was wondering if anyone could rec. any great anime with alot of action, but also I want something with more then just fighting. I'm looking for a great story line too.

hmmm, maybe Euruka seveN, or Fate/Stay Night was okay, Black Cat's plot was okay, as was Fullmetal Alchemists, that should keep you busy for a while

try evangelion i just love it (its licened now so i bought the dvd).naruto and bleach rock too(not the fillers)and ofcourse one peice..

You don't have to like mechas to like FMP, I know plenty of people that hate mechas and enjoyed FMP
