Where did you see that? Are you sure you didn't mistake something else for a penis?

Chapter 1 is intense. They killed off so many characters just to hype up the armored guy.

I just read the manga and that scene wasn't a penis but the goblin's nose.

Well that was bloody and brutal first chapter. The rookies made a mistake of underestimating the goblins and should have been careful and they paid for their mistake. The leader of the party of the party get's killed and possibly eaten, the kung fu girl was raped, the mage dying and the priestess shot by an arrow.

And here comes our hero, the titular Goblin Slayer to the rescue.(Who reminds of a Souls protagonist.)

It was the nose? I kinda just rush over that part so I though it was a penis.

Feels like the start to another Akame ga Kill with brutal depiction of standard high fantasy. Not saying that as a bad thing either.

I like the use of the flashbacks to build some very brief empathy of the characters before their doom. I think the rape is a bit unnecessary, and in this context seemingly done for titillation. Another potential negative note is just once again relying on these hero "ranks", which is a cheap way to convey standard fantasy levels without actually using the word level. I wish they would put that aside.

Why Goblin again? Are we going to see how he massacre goblins over and over until the manga ended? Sound pretty....boring. Since he crowned himself as a goblin slayer, it is obvious that he won't going to fight other creatures, and I doubt goblins going to provide any challenges on later....unless those goblins became super goblins.

Also, rape kinda turned me off, but I will overlook this for now.

Supposedly, the rape isn't a constant thing, does it's implied to happen more.

And the goblins make up for being weak by being smart.

Though the mange could throw that out the window since I'm basing this on the LN.

and goblins do have evolution. Hobgoblin (the big gob that rape the female monk), Goblin Shaman, Goblin King, Goblin Champion, maybe others.

Yup....and from what I see in the translation (Chinese) it is kinda similar too...and there will be some interlude here and there telling the story of unfortunate party being gang banged and giving birth, other tortured by the multiple goblins. Btw unlike those dead eyes give up on life victim, most of them actually still conscious, usually after being raped, some giving birth to goblin they become a nun for life
