Well, Capcom is quoted to 'want to attract the millions and millions of Call of Duty fanboys' for RE6.

I'd say they've got their priorities 100% wrong to begin with, but what can I say... I'm just their 1%.

Ashleys AI was certainly better than the coop partner in RE5 who was ACTIVELY trying to help you by fighting.

Lets do a quick analysis.

Ashley: You try to aim at an enemy behind her, she ducks to give you a clear line of fire

RE5 coop AI: Looks at you stupidly, before moving behind you, ussually in time for an enemy to hit you
I'm aware Ashley's AI was a lot better than Sheva's/Chris' (whoever you're not using).
But still, the girl is a wimp. She would never use a gun, haha.

Important part: Ashley was quick about it. Plus there was almost always a place to stash her away (e.g. dumpster) so she was actually hardly in the way.

The only time people got pissed when her shrill voices shouts "LEEOOOON!!!!! HEEEEELP" three times in a row. Or how one shot came kill her. ¬.¬ Only annoying parts, really.

This reminds me of another thing I would like to see again in RE6.........bullet making.

I really like this option and how Jill gets better at making ammo as you used the tools more.

Wasn't that article referring to Operation Raccoon City and not RE6?

Well as seen lately in RE series it's becoming more of an action genre rather than survival horror.

But that's what Revelations and ORC are for- to test the waters to see how successful a full action game is as compared to a hybrid Survival-Action.

Considering how one is being marketed over another, and the fact that ORC is multiplatform, isn't that strategy kinda one sided?

Eh? Last time I've checked, Revelations was getting way more attention than ORC...

4 was a breath of fresh air if you ask me. The game actually has it right when you are facing an endless horde with an unstoppable chainsaw maniac on your tail at the begining.

Another high point is at the end of the game is when you faced those Regnerator.

Quite ironic when you consider that Gears Of Wars takes inspiration from 4.

So?

Sorry if I don't sound sympathetic but...what you're describing with the worst of with Ashley was standard for allot of other games escort missions. The good will Ashley gave me just by that allowed me to give her a pass on shouting for help or in the circumstances where her death is game over.

In short, people who complained about Ashley are spoiled little girls who don't know what horrible escort missions really are

Seriously. Try playing the Halo CE level Truth and Reconciliation when you've just rescued Captain Keyes. Wearing no armor and armed with the worst gun in the game, Captain Keyes will make a point of charging ahead of his 7 foot armored super soldier escort and trying to engage giant shielded aliens with plasma guns in close range shootouts.

And you cannot do anything to stop this aside from being more aggressive, and hoping to advance faster than Keyes. Have fun trying this on legendary.

Because it comes out next week. Trust me, you'll see more ORC exposure as we get closer to March.

THEN AGAIN, March is the month of the heavy hitters. I suspect it'll get overshadowed by ME3 and the likes.

I said marketed. They've been showing the game all over, usually all the cons that Capcom went to had the game there for people to actually view and play. Mind you at these exact same cons, they didn't have revelations, which was just made playable via the 3DS demo a couple of weeks before its release and the single mercenaries demo before that.

Her AI didn't get the way since it always "Duck/shiver behind Leon". Though... yeah... I do have to agree with RE5's AI being pretty stupid. ._.

I'm hoping RE6's AI will be good. For whomever you'll have to drag around or whatever you'll be fighting.

All you need is a handgun and some sadism.

You can get the infinite ammo case later and save 1 round of your enhanced ammo, then presto!

Most of all, you have to be disciplined and you have to save, even if you hate our current financial system. Because if you don't save, then you're guaranteed to end up with nothing.

I liked RE1 too with Chris , only knife at the beginning , lot of traps , Hard mode.

For RE6 , i'm glad that the Zombies are back & then Leon's side will show some survival horror but i'm also upset that RE became more mainstream...
Well , we have to get used to it....
Fortunately there are still some games series faithfull to survival horror.

Speaking about traps, I find it amusing that in Code Veronica, Capcom finally put in a real TRAP.

EDIT :

I want to play as her again.

She might be in the game for all we know. Not much mentions on the female cast yet. We only get Sherry and Helena and a rumor about Ada, Chris is surrounded by men who are most likely attracted to him because of his manly muscles lol
