Apparently the producers hate this anime because they are going with the whole release the episodes in random order thing.

More popular speculation is that Angelise looks like Cagalli Athha from Gundam Seed. Since Ange's producer is also the director of Gundam Seed. Due to the Gundam Seed controversies and negative publicity, the direcotr did not have major role in Sunrise anime production for a long time, until Cross Ange.

This Peach Boy seems interesting. The plot looks like one of those psychol thriller anime from years ago. There is another current anime involved Peach Boy. Since one of the main protagonist is Peach Boy, she would have companions by default. In the folklore, the companions are dog, monkey, and pheasant.

What is random order? Is it in the sense of each episode has a stand alone plot?

Basically, the normal aired anime will broadcast the episodes in a scrambled, random order. And if you want to watch it in order, you have to watch the streamed version on a certain streaming site.
So basically, corporate greed.

...........Bruh.

Spoiler for ep1:

The director claims the random order episodes was all his idea, and the Kodansha producers liked his proposal.
https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/int...-order/.174683

He says his main motive was to avoid making anime-original content for Peach's allocated 12-episode run, since the manga is still ongoing.

Although both the original creators and the other anime staff were very OK with making an original ending, the director wasn't interested since he believes "the anime (adaptation must)depict what was drawn in the manga!"

Oh joy. I've totally been missing the chaotic viewing experience of Rental Magica . I get the position the staff were in of not having enough material when production started. Heck, I even agree with the preference to not just go anime-original for the ending. Although I'm not sure how going out of order somehow lets you not run out of material to animate. You are shuffling the deck chairs...not creating new chairs.

Regardless the blame goes on the people deciding to animate the darn thing without enough material. Just be patient and wait.

This does feel like the kind of situation where I just wait for the show to end and then watch through it with a walkthrough guide on where to start .

The episode wasn't all that bad honestly. Sally and Frau have a nice friendship there which is fine. And certainly they are willing to go pretty bold with the chaos that can unfold (RIP those guards).

Frau is definitely the best thing about this show so far. I'll give it a few more episodes to see how it goes for now. Not like the first non-chronological show I've seen.

Same impression here. Ep. one adapted chapter 2 of the manga it seems.

Literally Lucy Heartfillia but without Natsu (man, I hate Natsu) and apparently powerful from the get-go? I don't know for how long I'm gonna stick to this. I like Frau but don't know if is enough for me to stick to this. Also the realise order thing is kind of a turn-off. Maybe a pair more episodes before decide to watch the whole thing or drop and go read the manga.

A commenter on another anime blog site thinks that the Peach anime's aim "...is to end the first season with an out-of-sequence yet climactic note so that it can feel tied together without having to throw out the story and call it a day when it ends.".

If randomly shuffling anime had any use, more anime would have done that. No anime do that, for a good reason. I like originality, but literally just broadcasting random episodes is not original, but lazy.

So watching the second episode thinking I was probably going to drop it, and then it got to the end. Well...
"Dammit!" i thought, "They're probably not going to address that in next episode or maybe at all due to this non-chronological thing!"

Going to bail for now and keep a look out for episode reviews to see how it goes.

Talking about the out of sequence shows. They could be enjoyable.
