I don't do summaries, only very small synopsis >_<
Its the Taishou era. Koume is a 14 year old girl that goes to a girl's only school. One day she was suddenly asked by her best freind (nicknamed "Ojou") to play baseball together... A baseball light novel about an all girls baseball team... Animation Original Character Concept: Koutaro Hopefully I didn't get anything wrong >_< guh how much I don't like kanji >_<

Rather innocent sounding.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_era_name The Taishou era is 1912-1926. |

I have no interest whatsoever in baseball; besides, what's so entertaining about it?
but... the prospect of having an all-female cast with no male presence in sight is an idea I can't quite shake from my mind. I mean, what are my chances of having 2 or more scenes aimed to build some kind of yuri kinship? |

The "girls' games/sports team" (with maybe one guy for good measure) genre of anime has been steadily growing on me. Umisho, Bamboo Blade, the upcoming Saki...
So this is preemptively on my to watch list. Take me out to the ballgame. |

Good news and slightly-less-than-good news.
We've got a start date (7/2), and it'll be inheriting K-ON!'s time slot. However, it being TBS means the whole fullscreen-and-then-wait-for-widescreen-several-weeks-later deal. Last edited by Midonin; 2009-06-22 at 23:16. |
