It's pointless to have even this series in the first place. I didn't bother with it after knowing the original heroines are gone. And I'm sure it goes the same way with most readers.

Just finished reading the Shin seitokai no ichizon. one word "Amazing".
Even if the original member already gone, the new member provide us with their own charm and for sure i want this part of the novel to be animated too.

To summarized it shortly, i made the relationship chart with all of the character that loved sugisaki.
and sugisaki really became a harem king now .

Seitokai No Ichizon ended with the 10th volume of the novel called 生徒会の十代 (seitokai no jyudai) (The anime series already covered all of this)

Shin seitokai no ichizon which is the continuation of the series ended with only 2 vol. (the 2 vol tell us about ken's struggle to bring back all the new member of the student council. Apparently all of the new member already been elected but because of each of their personal problem, they refused to become a member of the student council)

And last there are about 8 vol spin off series of seitokai no ichizon. The 8th volume acted as the continuation of shin seitokai no ichizon. In this volume all the former and new member gather together to attend the reunion of the student council on holiday. (of course chaos ensues in this meeting and a unexpected girl take the lead in the race to get sugisaki's love )

Summary of Shin seitokai

to make it short, Sugisaki was mad and sad because all the selected student council member doesn't want to attend the student council meeting and want to quit their position. Kazami meiku as the successor of toudou lilicia of the news paper club give her help in investigating what happened to each member and their reason of why they doesn't want to be a student council member.
In voleme 1 deal with the situation of saionji tsukushi and minase runa while vol 2 deal with the situation of hinamori touko and kagami hokuto.

Next is the summary of each character's problem

Spoiler for Saionji Tsukushi:

As you can see from the chart, she was an extremely clumsy girl. But this was because she has the protection (or should i say haunted) by the god. She was a girl loved by the god ... god of laughter to be precise. Everything that she do always end in a laughter situation. She has a complex about this because everytime she want to get serious it always ended in ridiculous situation. She think that she was not qualified to become the president of the student council because she was afraid that she will failed all of her supporter. In here the big battle between the god of laugh and ken began. She was a big maniac fan of the idol uchuu meguru and always ask ken to arrange a meeting for her.

Spoiler for Minase runa:

As you can see, she was ken's rival when both of them want to become the student council member of the previous generation. Her situation involve her inferiority complex and her family situation. She doesn't have a clear target of what she want to do in life. She doesn't have anything and when she saw all of the person around sugisaki who was filled with laughter...you can say that she became jealous of sugisaki but she denied this. She have a fight with her father because of this reason (about her not having a clear goal in life).
Her father was a yakuza it seems (i forget if he is a gang member or the leader) and his last word to sugisaki is that sugisaki must became her watch dog and never let any guys approach her. (he doesn't know that sugisaki want runa in his harem). Sugisaki must prepared his self if he want runa in his harem because this is a matter of life and death.
