@Rinnel--Awesome cosplay pics, all of them! I'd love to see Himari standing up so I can see how the clothing drapes.
And I don't think C.C.'s robot ears are canon, just a fan thing? I could be wrong. Here's an example of some fan art.

@ Marcus H. yes you're right, it seems to be Chachamaru from Negima and not C.C. , sorry it's a mistake I don't know Negima and I found it when looking for C.C. pics, or maybe it's a mix of C.C. and Chachamaru , I found her closer from C.C. than Chacha....  !

I attended Toycon 2011 (anime convention) yesterday.
Took pics of some cosplayers who are present there.  Arrived at the place little past 12 am. Not many cosplayers yet because it's still early, so I took the chance to scout out some cheap anime goods. It didn't take long before the cosplay people started to arrive though. Yui Hirasawa (loli version?)  I politely asked if it's ok to take her pic. And she gladly posed with the cake. This girl is tough, I later observed that since past 12, she hardly left the area at all. She's there till 4 or 5 pm. Before going home, I asked her for one last pic. She looked fatigued but still smiling. Some items for sale inside the Megatrade Hall.   Just so that people have an idea, inside the Megatrade Hall are many stalls set up by vendors, so it's not ideal for many of the cosplayers (the ones with big costumes or accessories) to pose there. This led to most of them posing outside and at the mall hallway. The place is fully airconditioned, but staying for 20 minutes at the hallway makes me fatigued due to the number of people, so I take "short breaks" and go inside the Megatrade Hall (which is the more comfortable place due to less people) to recover my strength - not kidding! More cosplay pics. Unknown Robot - This guy is also among the high endurance cosplayers that day. From a little past 12 till past 3 pm, he's there posing for pics with people. It must feel pretty hot inside that suit.  She has dog.  Homura-chan  Girl with big wrench - another one of the enduring cosplayers that day. She change her clothes to another cosplay later during day.  Mcdonalds  Al Azif and ???  Sailor Moon inspired costume? - also saw her at UP AME Monogatari (a previous anime con that I attended), so I had the idea that she's used to cosplaying despite her age.  Dead Master - I've watched Black Rock Shooter anime.  Unknown character - saw her posing with a Ciel cosplayer. Cute, so I took pic.  Cardcaptor Sakura - another person that I saw at a previous convention.  Maid - one of the many cute maid cosplayers that I saw that day.  Azusa - Had to be fast in taking pictures because there's literally a mob of guys and some girls who wish to take her pic.  Taiga  Ciel - another one of the enduring cosplayers. With good smile even when resting. Accompanied by her mother. Saw her early, and when I went home she's still there.  Well, that's all I have. Posting the rest of the pics would be off topic to this thread, anyone who liked to see pic of items can look here

I saw this image on San Com, but I don't recognize the costume. The badge looks like it should be identifiable, but I don't think I've seen such a symbol in anime. (I have seen similar symbols in Christian iconography, but the costume is probably just meant to look cool.)
So if anyone can identify what anime this is from, I'd appreciate it. -- Edit - Apparently she is supposed to be Sion from Tsukihime. Spoiler:

Otaku Fest Anime Figure Special
Held at SM Megamall Megatrade Hall 1 last Dec.28. Sorry for late report, I was waiting for some people to bump this thread. This time I carpool (share car) with some people in going to the convention. The more the merrier, right? Incidentally, this convention is held at the same place that Toycon was held. We arrived there at a little past 1 in the afternoon. The place wasn't very packed yet. But the general area is somewhat destined to be packed because Kpop Nation 2011 is being held on the same day on nearby Megatrade Halls 2 & 3 - they have a special guest which I will tell about later.  First cosplayer I met is someone cosplaying Yui.  In every convention I attend there's always a tig.. I mean a Taiga. ^^  Misaka Mikoto, I think she could be the same person cosplaying Azusa last time.  Angel Beats - it seems a lot of cosplayers who watched this show and K-On are present. Saw a lot of Angel Beats and K-On cosplayers that day.  .  Some more cosplay, the girl in black cosplayed Yui at Toycon, she seems to attend regularly as long as the convention is held at Megatrade Hall.    TEST OF ENDURANCE!!  Remember what I said about K-Pop Nation (held nearby) having a guest? Well, their guest is Alodia, she seems to be a famous cosplayer (in this country at least) who recently started a singing career. I manage to get near as she was signing posters. Due to the sheer number of fans, getting the poster that I hold to be signed is a pipe dream. But I manage to get close enough to take a blurry pic. Glad that going to the gym paid off, physical strength is useful when trying to get through the mob.  .  Ok, this anime convention is centered mostly on anime figurines. But it would be off topic for me to post the figurines and other assorted anime merchandise on this thread. Anyone who wants to see the figurines and other stuffs (Butterfly Headphones, Panda Earmuffs, etc.) can look here

Jokes left apart, due to how eyes are portrayed in animes, i think more and more that europeans would best fit in cosplaying, and therefore find it "weird" for jap people to cosplay. Anyways, my post here is useless, since it doesn't contribute anyhow to the topic, beside bringing some bad comment on the cosplayer. Blame the organization. Operation skuld starting |
