Help! I just got this game and I can't figure out the seed mode system at all! Occasionally, this timer thing pops up before combat and it gives me an option of pressing either square, circle, triangle or cross. What I can't figure out is which of these four do I need to press at what instance? mode? type?

Btw I can't read japanese so looking at the official website did no good =X
I'd really like to play this game without it occasionally telling me "disappointing..." or "Did you even try?" when I miss the seed mode trigger thing.

Its something like modifying the os of the gundam.Just punch the buttons as u see in order within the given time.Then your gundam will get better performace i think

where exactly do you see the order of the buttons? Sorry, I might be panicking abit when it appears so I don't really know what's happening =P

Actually, the 4 buttons are completely random, and totally dependent on luck. Pressing the right keys will either give you a bonus or none. SEED mode only occurs when one of your characters does an ultimate move, one that usually does 10,000+ DMG.

Because imagine, it wouldn't be fair if everyone in your team had SEED mode on...

And stick Lacus in a Gundam, she is acutally more useful in one.

Oh...really? So when the trigger comes up, I just hit any button I like and pray that it succeeds?

I've only played a bit(Destiny level 6), and I've only seen Athrun get the real seed mode. As real seed mode, I mean there's a scene where you see the actual scene transformation.
Been having terrible luck lately, no luck in getting the correct buttons which made things harder...

Luck? No wai, it's all according to the color of the coloured bar counting down at the very bottom - hit the right colour for the button or memorize it's location and you nail it every time.

^ WHAT? Dammit. Thats what I get for buying second-hand games without a manual!
