Yu proactively stacking washbasins instead of just sitting around and marveling at his teammates' lack of decency was pretty funny. I like the little tics and quirks that both anime series have given him, building on the characteristics that were implied in the original game to make him a better-realized character.
Also, "Marie" gets to sing her own ED this week as an added treat. |

I at least appreciate the creative team letting Kana Hanazawa sing the ending theme, or more appropriately letting Marie actually sing her song, even if the original was definitely the better version .
Wow, I was wondering if the 3rd-tier Persona's would ever make an appearance or get animated, but not only do we get them but cameo's from the 2nd-tier's as well! Just really cool to get to see them, as well as letting each member of the Investigation Team get a good hit on Kusumi-no-Okami . I was a little shocked that they had Izanagi-no-Okami show up for the finish though, since I just assumed his reappearance in animation would be saved for the remake of the Izanami fight, but I guess since he already appeared in the True Ending of the original anime that the novelty of his appearance has worn off. And we're in a new-game plus of the original anime, which likely helps. Though before that, Izanagi on his own was actually pretty awesome even when his weapon was destroyed, with his "Izanagi Kick!" and "Izanagi Punch!" . Rise's reaction to Yu's princess carry of Marie and her retort back was pretty funny, as was Yu during the onsen scene . The eyecatches for Golden have been pretty great, but I have to say this episodes eyecatch with the girls in those outfits left quite an impression, alongside the onsen scene and that view of Marie's nice body . I had my doubts they would do Valentines day, for various reasons, so it wasn't that surprising to see most of it skipped over. I assume Nanako's Chocolate kept Yu out of commission for the entire day, which prevented any romantic hijinks from happening at the school with the girls. I guess it all worked out for the best, since no one got their heart broken and Yu got to accept Nanako and Marie's chocolates and still live to see another day . Lots of good YuxMarie scenes in this episode, with a nice YuxNanako for good measure, and while I'm also with MAX_COLA_POWER! in being disappointed with how Marie's Valentines scene wasn't exactly like it was in the game, I can understand why it worked out that way. Though while she quickly avoided confessing in this episode, I'm hoping there'll be a scene in the next episode to more than make up for it . Looking forward to the remake of the fight with Izanami!

Certainly the original singing for the ED was superior there was no doubt about that. Though I think it somewhat came down to not being the right kind of song for that voice. Just not a strong enough voice to keep up with the music. But I didn't think it was a total disaster. At points it had a solid sound to it. At points the mismatch was plainly clear, but I props for at least letting her take that crack at the ED.

Well, that's the Golden Epilogue done with, and glad they didn't alter that event too much. Hm, honestly I like the original series ending more, having Marie in distress again just one episode after being rescued is a bit repetitive. And having Izanagi-no-Okami lose so Kaguya/Marie could come in and save the day was disappointing, but guess that's why it showed up last episode, to have one win. And was hoping Adachi's Social Link would lend power, but guess the Accomplice End bonus episode will be his time. At least they kept in Marie's on-air confession, that's always a funny moment.
Aniplex of America will probably sell the discs for this series, right? Glad I won't have to bother with paying their prices then. It was fun to see the cast again (the epilogue was sweet), but as I can only put up with so much Marie, this series wasn't that entertaining. Mostly just sad at how everything was rearranged to center around Marie, demoting everyone else. Now to go back to finishing my current playthrough of Golden. |

I never expected this episode to one up the overwhelming amount of emotion in that OVA back then, and this episode instead focuses on the aftermath of everyone more.
Though the moment the Reincarnation remix of I'll Face Myself plays I teared up again. I could not remember when it was being played last time, but that song just triggered a massive response from me. Edit: Overall, a decent supplementary material for one series that I quite like years back. I'm still feeling so-so about the addition of Marie, but the Adachi arc just makes it all worth it. Ep12 and the TE OVA were my favourite episodes back in the original P4A, and that arc just uses the same themes and amplified them greatly. Nonetheless, it's great to see the crew fooling around once more time, even if the initial news was totally unexpected. I wouldn't say this is a must-watch except for the Adachi arc, but overall quite an enjoyable series this season. In the Friday with two other "blockbusters", this is the show that somehow sits on top of my priority list for the past few weeks.

And there we go. Honestly, not a bad way to handle it and in general I think that was a better way to tackle Izanami than they originally did. At least there was some build up to facing this person before hand. Although everyone was still dropped to being cheerleaders there .
Did a decent job fitting the last battle and the epilogue. A better way to end off I feel. Overcame the dangers and got their positive conclusion. Even if Yu had to move it wasn't like he was going to lose the connections built. Just has to head back there when he has the time to. As a whole I enjoyed going through this Golden run. Didn't always have a ton of action and very narrowly focused, but it did what it set out to do. Honestly the only other way I could have seen tackling this was some 50 episode monster so the could cover the original material and Golden. This was a fun little NG+ that has me considering giving Golden another replay when I can find the time.

Decent last episode.
I did get a bit lost and felt it was a bit jumbled when they kept throwing "Final boss" after final boss at us right after the other. And the actual battling was kind of lazy, but that's fine, the combat wasn't the focus this season anyway. But the plot conversations were nice. Laughed @ Marie the Weather girl, and how she signs off. Hope a creditless ED of that is in the DVD extras cause a gif of that would be good.

Great last episode. Probably the best episode of the Golden series. But then again, I love me some time skip epilogues. Kind of weird how it's only like 5 months later, yet everyone looks like they've matured at least a couple of years.
I also don't think they grew Naoto's hair out enough. Her novel series has her with hair down to nearly her ass, and that only takes place a year later. Sure, people don't grow 2 feet of hair in a year, but still, they could've shown her growing it out more like they did with Nanako, Chie, and Rise. |

Well while I personally didn't like how they handled the "reveal" and how they did the final boss fight, everything after that was great, the epilogue was handled VERY VERY WELL and the send out was executed perfectly in my opinion and Maries confession was icing on the cake.
Overall my rating is 7/10 worth a watch if you've played the games or watched the original anime series FIRST. Now for the matter of the OVA, personally I don't think I will personally be able to stomach watching it after this, UNLESS they play the accomplish ending off like a special vision from say Margaret or maybe Marie casually having Yuu see what would have happened if he took that choice and after it's over they go back to the real present with Yu having a huge appreciation for his choice or something. If they simply show it to us straight and NOT send us back to the real reality t then no I couldn't watch it and they would have been better off doing it that way during the show. Quote:

All in all, I really enjoyed P4G, the animations was better than the original and the focus on the events of Golden was also faith to the original.
Still, it wasnt as funny as the original maybe cuz we only got 12 eps and also battles were almost nonexisting. I do hope that we gonna see the older personas or SMT games to get animated since they are also really great. |

Pretty good ending. Izanami was defeated even if everyone else was on the sideline throughout the entire fight. Everyone's reaction to the confession(especially Rise and Chie's was hilarious). The epilogue was handled very well.
