I just stumbled on this part of the board and want to say what a great mascot Kairin makes. Of course, I do like the elvish look. Congrats to Kairin and her maker, as well as to Sayuri and Yuyu and theirs. I think artists, like musicians, are magic. I just look at those drawings and say: how did they do that? I liked all three, and thought they all had subtle expressions. Good work, artists and judges.

I want an animesuki t-shirt with Kairin! I would definitely buy it. Great job with the design, Kairin will make a wonderful mascot.

How exactly do you pronounce "Kairin?" Is it K-eye-rin or something else?

Correct.

K-eye and then Rin like how they said Tosaka Rin in Fate Stay Night (not sure if you saw). If you didn't, you pronounce the "i" like an "e" so rin sounds like reen.

I'm sure that if you get to be friends with her, she'll let you call her Rinrin-chan.

NSW: It was more a reference to Ririn in Bleach.

(Can't wait to see Kairin on Animesuki's front page one day )
